Once inside you see a mix of wooden, metal and ceramic artworks. They also have handbags, swimsuits, some glassware and jewelry items. It struck me that this store seemed a little out of place, as if it belonged more in the area of the Woodlands near Houston, as opposed to the more pedestrian crowd on the island. Pieces went flying. Within days, I went back to the store with my receipt and the broken flipper set and asked for refund. They refused. Said I didn't have the broken pieces (?!). Then they said that it "wasn't their fault." They refused to stand by the product they sold. There's no return policy on the receipt and none posted that I saw. They certainly didn't point a policy out to me or reference it when I was there. They just REFUSED to acknowledge that they sold a a DEFECTIVE product or to stand behind their merchandise. Look, this is a store full of cheap tourist trinkets. I didn't expect (even for $30) a high end quality product. However, I did expect that my son would get a few uses out of the item. Shoddy. Cheap. She followed me around the store and, on two separate occasions, came up to me and said, "We're short staffed." I genuinely wasn't sure what she meant by that. She immediately backtracked with, "No, no, that's not what I meant..." but I still never really understood what she was trying to communicate. I went to the Island Native Surf Shop hoping to get my Bike repaired. It had a dent in the front…read morewheel which hit my brakes every rotation rendering it unusable. The shop Owner was extremely helpful, friendly and started to work on my bike immediately. It took him less than 10 minutes to perfectly fix it at an Incredible reasonable price! During that time, I looked around in his shop and found high quality surfing accessories including surfboards, bikes, clothing, swimsuits and jewelry. In addition, they have all things for sun protection and healing at descent prices. I'll definitely come back with my Wife for shopping.
