For my 470th review.... I finally made my very first visit to Wawa. While we were stopping to gas up on a road trip, and I was impressed. I went in expecting something similar to a QuikTrip (QT), but honestly, Wawa has the edge. The store was incredibly clean, and the variety of options was impressive--everything felt fresh and plentiful. I tried a breakfast panini, and it was delicious! The quality definitely exceeded my expectations for "gas station food." It's a great spot for a quick, quality food when you're on the move. I'll definitely be stopping back whenever I see one on my travels. read more

This is the 3rd time in a row they have screwed up my sandwiches. The first time they got my whole families sandwiches wrong. Honey mustard instead of hot honey, a turkey sandwich missing most of its items. They told me they would put my name on a list and remake it. Sent my wife in there today, she forgot about the free sandwich. She pays for my small turkey sub. This time the bread is hard as a rock, the meat is completely covered in pepper and there is a hard peppercorn in it that I could have chocked on. I call she says she can remake it. No I already have 2 free subs from yall I haven't used and I'm tired of giving them chances. I ask for a refund. She says I need to come in to get that even though I have the receipt and all the info she needs. I think messing up people's order constantly and then making them jump throw hopes to make it right isn't ok. read more

Just experienced some of the worst customer service. About 8:30 at night, of course it is dark outside. I tell the cashier $30.00 on pump 5 and I pointed to my car and said the white Honda. He acknowledged and looked and said okay. Well, the pump was actually 6. I was getting a smoothie and when I went outside I couldn't pump gas. I go back inside and let them know, cashier said wrong pump number. He continued look straight ahead, I had to ask him are you going to switch the gas number. He goes to supervisor hastily and says can you handle this guy. First off that is rude, especially when it was a honest mistake. Then supervisor checks and says other car took $15, can only refund you remaining amount back. I told her, I pointed to my car and he acknowledged plus I said it was a mistake. She said, "Oh well, know where your pumping next time." Then slid the receipt in front of me with a smile. Worst customer service, I go there all the time. For $15 mistake that you guys could have corrected. If I didn't say the number then she said I would of had a full refund. I hope $15 was worth the read, I would not recommend this location due to poor service and people who acted like they didn't want customers there. read more

Though near a lot of traffic, this Wawa is near too packed. The outside area is typically clean to include the inside. My favorite thing about Wawa gas stations is the free air pumps...as long as they are in order. The only inconvenience is trying to get out during rush hour, definitely a matter of perfect timing and a kind driver or two. read more

Overall, Wawa is a great place to come. I'm originally from southern NJ, so Wawa is all over up there. I was glad years ago when they finally came to the area here. The layout is a typical convenience store. At any of their locations, you can get hoagies and other sandwiches, which is what I frequently do when I come to one. This most recent visit was no different. The food is always fresh. My verdict is still out though on the new hoagie bread that's made in the store for the sandwiches. Gas is also a good buy here most of the time. I think it's lower here because they have to compete with BJ's and Sam's Club gas, which is typically the cheapest in the immediate area. In general, this and any Wawa I've been to, I've had no issues. The staff has always been friendly. The one thing I think this location can improve on is having more people at the registers. Each time I've been here, there's been only one person manning them, and the line can get long pretty quickly. Restrooms have always been clean when I've had to use them, so at least that is maintained too. read more

Wawas all seem to look exactly alike. They never seem to veer far from the format they have become accustom to. Every single one I have visited all seem to have the same layout inside and similar outdoor facilities. I mean I have only been to a handful of Wawas, and I could pretty much close my eyes when I walk in and walk to where I want to be, pick up my item, walk to the register and pay without ever opening them again. I didn't try the food at this particular location, so I can not speak to that. The register in this one may need some employees that were a little better together. You're not quite sure which one you are suppose to go to because neither one of them are paying attention to the customer. read more

I often stop in here for a quick lunch from the deli. In fact I come here so much I'm pretty much on a first name basis with about half the staff. No matter the sandwich or bowl they're always on top of their game at this location. Also as mentioned in the other reviews, this WAWA has the cheapest gas in the beach, so it's worth stopping by here for that alone. read more

I let Emily know the Cuban coffee wasn't hot she literally argued with me that it was I was shocked and even said I really don't want to argue. Wawa is usually a fun positive place I go literally 3-4 times a day for my Cuban coffee, so If I say isn't hot why argue with me that it is not enough. Geez. What happened to good customer service ? Emily was sooo rude. Sad part is I think she was the manager on duty. She told me the coffee was an hour old and they don't change she it until two hours . This particular WaWa (& Hess across the street) consistently have the LOWEST GAS PRICES around this area. Being that said, both stations tend to get crowded at times - mostly rush hours & weekends. There is plenty of room in the WaWa lot to wait for your turn at the pump! I have only eaten their chicken salad sandwich on a 6" roll. It was very good & FRESH. You can add condiments & cheese, etc to the sandwich via the automated order system (aka: computer kiosk). I don't know where they get their bread rolls from, or even if they make them there, but they are SOOOOO fresh! That really makes the sandwich for me. The only thing that would make this place perfect would be if they sold lottery tix. read more

I have visited this Wawa twice in the past week and will definitely in the future because it is along my commute to school. The gas is cheap and there is always a spot open at the time I arrive. Sometimes I will stop in and get a Club Sandwich. When I ask for a substitution on my sandwich when the option is not on the computer, there are no problems whatsoever. The employees are very respectful and just great. Ashley was very cheerful and attentive. Usually I disapprove of gossiping on the job, but three employees behind the food line were giving me a very interesting scoop on the management of this location while I was silently eavesdropping waiting for my sandwich. Very happy to see a cleaner coffee prep area this busy Monday morning. It helps to speak with management. And Linda is my favorite cashier! She's always as friendly as she can be and reminds you if a free coffee event is coming up. I've been gone to the western part of Virginia for 6 days where there is no WAWA! Mrs.linda is amazing and kind and redeems my experience every time, but dont bother paying for "extra" cream cheese, sausage gravy, cheese etc because even if you pay for extra you wont get it. This is my favorite wawa and the only one I want to visit. Everyone is friendly and all my orders are always done quickly and correctly. Feels cozy at this wawa unlike the larger colder stores. This is hands down the best Wawa for getting prepared food. They are always friendly, the food is always fresh, the location is clean, and they are expedient. Can't forget to mention, the gas prices are almost always lower than neighboring stations. Conveniently located close to I-264, easily exiting the highway and getting back on going either direction. I've watched them go out of their way behind the food counter to meet customer needs and even customize orders. Their menu is much more expansive than other Wawa locations in the area. They have big screens to pass the time while you're waiting for your food and drinks to be prepared, which never takes long, no matter what time of day (even rush times like breakfast and lunch!) I've never spent more than 15 minutes here and that's a great thing for a commuter like myself. read more

I love Wawa! Its honestly one of the things that makes moving back to the Hampton Roads area 'not so bad.' Who doesn't want to be able to get gas and breakfast or lunch all in one place? Every Wawa that I've been to has also been really clean; which isn't always the case when you're talking about gas stations. Its a lot more than a gas station, think "mini grocery store." They always have ATM's too, and I remember the surcharge being pretty low (although USAA reimburses you anyway so if you have them, don't worry about it). Another bonus, the food is actually good! Yeah, I know fueling up in the morning (talking food, not gas, lol) can sometimes be about whatever eases the hunger pains, but the breakfast here is actually good, so is the lunch. So yeah, if you're running late, or don't have much time for lunch, Wawa is good alternative. They also have any size coffee for a dollar! Nice. read more

If there was a different Wawa on my way to work in the morning I wouldn't come to this one anymore. Not because the food is gross or anything but because they regularly leave items off of what I order and there's one worker who has absolutely NO HUSTLE when the store is busy and they are understaffed, making it harder for the decent employees.. I have witnessed this woman countless times just standing behind the grill staring into space or taking her sweet time walking to the register when there's a long line... It's obvious she does not want to be there... she needs to find another job if that really is the case. I have had to start checking my food before I leave the store. I ordered a ham omelet sandwich today with spinach and tomato and failed to check it before I left... when I got to work and opened it up there wasn't any spinach or tomato on it... so I'll be making another call today... the only plus to this is that they always remake my order at no charge. It's just annoying that I have to keep calling. It would be nice for them to just pay attention and make it right the first time! read more

This location is always crowded with people coming and going. I don't normally get gas here but the prices are usually comparable to Sam's club. I love the coffee selection here and in the morning they generally have plenty of breakfast sandwiches (my fav). The deli can be a little slow but you can guarantee that your order will be right. read more
