This location was very difficult to get into from the road, and there was a lot of construction around it. The parking lot is not big enough for the flow of traffic and either is the space inside of the business. Very crowded! I took my kid inside to use the bathroom before getting roadtrip snacks and there was an employee smoking marijuana in the bathroom. The only benefit I could see here is the self checkout option. Good place to get some grub. The subs are decent for the price. This one can be described as controlled chaos, as so darn busy. Getting an open gas pump was interesting. I haven't been here in forever. Pretty much felt like the first visit. And during a pandemic ... so I was a bit out of sorts figuring out the changes. Silly me, I thought that I was supposed to walk up and order my hoagie. NOPE. Walk up to the touchscreen, customize your order, print out the ticket, your order goes to the sandwich station worker. Take the barcode ticket to the register to pay - scan your wawa barcode. THEN walk back to the sandwich pickup station and wait for your number to be called. There are pick-up order racks just inside the door. There must be curbside service also - the parking spaces on both sides are numbered and reserved for pick-up orders. I pass this WaWa a few times a week, but typically stop at the Seven-Eleven across the street to get gas and coffee. Today I thought why not, I certainly am a fan. I only needed to pump up and had no reason to go inside. The station is large with around six islands. It's typically very busy which is a reason I avoid. The location just off East VB Blvd is popular with commuters around Hilltop Shopping. The lot had minor debris and a chain link fence is falling down on the West side. The older style pump worked efficiently and I did not need a receipt. The area had minor debris. The trash bin was within its boundaries. There was fluid and squeegee in the bay. Off to the side is a single air pump. I have no idea why but there was a run on air. I would return to this location and would hope to go inside. This WaWa is better than some. A 3.5 seems to fit them perfectly for today's visit and rounding down. read more

Came in for what I thought would be a quick fill up, but definitely not. Super busy location for the gas pumps and even the parking lot was fairly full as well. Location of air for tires is not in the best spot & can easily cause a back up at one of the entrances. If you plan on getting back on the highway, the exits can be troublesome to get to where you are going. read more

3-star rating has nothing with the outstanding food & beverages...and the always above average customer service. It has everything to do with the location. Although I'm grateful this one is really close to my house, trying to exit while heading back east (towards the beach) is a nightmare...especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours. Good gas and Awesome Food! I occasionally stop by this location mostly for the good sandwiches and tasty coffee. I love how you have so many opinions as far as the coffee goes and what you decide to put into it and that I prefer it over Dunkin' Donuts believe it or not. I however don't purchase any of their gasoline though. A lot of other reviews claim Wawa's gas is the cheapest around; I beg to differ in that either Sam's Club or Costco in Virginia Beach is even cheaper than Wawa 98% of the time, every time according to "Gasbuddy". Then again I only use Shell gasoline on really long road trips out of a personal preference regardless of the price. **Overall, cheapest gas or not Wawa is still a great service station to stop at weather this location or another you will not be displeased. I ordered a Roast Beef and Cheddar sub loaded with veggies and it just made my life a whole lot better. This location is clean with a great staff so there isn't much more to ask for.... I'm a big, big fan of Wawa. An even bigger fan of hogiefest, but the only thing about this location is that it's always busy and it's hard to maneuver in and out. Other than that, the staff was polite and they kept the area clean for the most part. The interior is pretty much identical to the one on va beach blvd next to Lowes. I will be sticking to that location bc this one's a big hassle. But it's honestly worth it if I'm in the area bc wawa is an amazing company. read more

This Wawa's is okay, I have been a patron for years, and the reason they only get an okay from me is because they excel in so few things. I usually get the quesadilla and a frozen white chocolate cappuccino. Today, for the first time I tried their ice coffee (mocha flavor) it was good but could use improvement. The customer service could also use a kick in the rear. Some of the employees look very tired and over worked, others just seemed bothered to even be working there, I feel rushed every time I'm at the cash register it is a rare occasion that you'll get great customer service from them. I hope that their service gets better over time. Also for the love of God when they train people I hope eventually they will tell them not to cut a quesadilla into triangles. read more

All ye people, sing praises of Wawa. Lift up your sandwich and coffee and rejoice! But really, I love Wawa. Sometimes when I ask what's for dinner, it's usually "let's drive halfway across town for Wawa." You'd be surprised at how serious I am. I was born and raised in the north, so I had no idea what a Wawa was until six or seven years ago and I didn't get acquainted with anything other than their gas two years ago. Nowadays, it's a chill spot. When I tell people you can get an amazing meal at a gas station, they look at me like I've lost my mind. Now, it's not like the places on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives where they're serving high-class filet mignon behind the john, but it's close enough. Sandwiches are the thing. I always go for the custom chicken sandwich on wheat with tomatoes, cucumbers, provolone, bacon, guacamole, mayo, southwest sauce, pepper, and oregano with a hot sweet cream cheese pretzel. It's delicious. The bathrooms are clean. The people are nice. Wawa isn't just a gas station. It's an experience and I feel for those who have no idea what Wawa is or feels like gas station food is beneath them. Come relax with the peasants, you bourgeoisie fools! Yeah, navigating the gas pumps is tricky, but a good sense of timing and being courteous to other patrons is all you need. Don't let someone's bad attitude at the pump affect your experience. As a recent transplant from Wawa's hometown of Philadelphia, I can only say that this is an okay location. I'm just glad to have access to Wawa's sandwiches this far south. The gas pumps are placed weirdly, and are hard to access. Combine that with the inability of people here to drive (and propensity to leave their cars at pumps while they pay inside), and this place is a fender bender waiting to happen. Sandwiches are generally done okay, but the service is pretty terrible generally. Don't expect to see any Sizzli's if you're there in the morning, and there's a 50/50 chance the coffee you want will be empty. While the sandwiches taste like they do anywhere else, the people that put them together haven't quite gotten a rhythm figured out yet. More than once I've had to ask for my sandwich when they've just left it sitting on the counter behind them while they make subsequent orders and hand them off to more recently arriving customers. They tend to forget to cut sandwiches, too. Nothing a little training can't fix, though. read more

Wawa is the best gas station is the Mid Atlantic. (Insert air high five.) I always stop here to gas up for the week. Prices are usually the cheapest in all the land. On occasion, I stop to get a Coffee & Sizzli for $2.99! Party on Wayne, party on Garth! Not only are they tasty, but healthy as well. I get the Sizzli Multigrain Muffin Ham, Egg White, and Cheddar. (Only 7 grams of fat, 240 calories and 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN) Add a little Texas Pete and you're in business. They are usually sold out, but if you "politely" ask one of the employees in the cafe they will be happy to make you a fresh one in minutes. Coffee is alway fresh too, try the Kona blend. Mahalo! On a not so health note, I also love Wawa's jalapeno stuffed pretzels, and the fact that they have canned Mountain Dew. Get it on in. This place can be BANANAS in the mornings/peak hours. This place use to be awesome. But over the last year it has gone down hill 100%. All new staff and customer service is definitely not there priority. They ignore customers while they are talking to there co workers.. managers included. I use to go daily before work and it always started my day off good. But in the last year to many issue there, and my day started to start off bad. After a week or so of this, I just stopped going in daily. I go there on the weekend only to get WaWa ice tea.. WaWa ice teas are the best, but no "Good Morning" or even an acknowledgment your there. Today I saw the Maple Harvest Cappuccino so I ordered one. I thought they gave me the wrong drink..looked nothing like the picture, no chocolate, no Carmel down the sides.. went outside and it spilled and almost dropped it because the lid wasn't even on all the way..
