I love this place! I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows waxed in the city and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Audra has a tiny studio in the heart of the Jewelry District. Her space is bright, clean, and private which makes the 15 minute experience relaxing and stress free. I have NEVER had an esthetician do as thorough of a job. She really takes the time to gently wax, snip and tweeze until every brow hair is tamed. I have gone to so many places that are fast and impersonal while charging more! I am normally a quiet person and feel awkward talking for the sake of talking. However, I really enjoy chatting with Audra about the city and fun places to travel. It felt effortless on my part. I have been getting wax services for nearly 10 years and have been to many different wax salons across several states in that time. There is no exageration when I say that the wax experience I had with Audra was the best I've ever had. Audra's salon feels like you're walking into a friend's house. She makes sure that I know what is going on down there: why my first-ever waxing (at a different waxing shop) could not have removed every bits of hair, why she gently pats the skin right after every wax strip, what could be added to my current after-treatment, so on and so forth. Wax Downtown is my new favorite place for waxing. During my first experience at Wax Downtown, it was clear that Audra is an expert in her field. She made me feel so comfortable and her products and waxing technique were far better than the other places in the city that I've gone. Many of the waxing chains in the city will rush you in and out of your appointment in 15 minutes without caring about the job that was done.
