After trying pretty much every waxing place in La Jolla and Pacific Beach, I finally found Natalia and I've been seeing her religiously for Brazilian waxes every 3-4 weeks for 2 years! Her waxes are quick, easy, and now, virtually painless. The first wax is usually the worse in terms of pain... they get easier and easier the more often you go. After 2 years, I barely feel it. Plus, Natalia is great at keeping the the discomfort at bay with her soothing techniques (firm pressure after each patch is removed). Two starts is somewhat alarming, but I had a large problem with the customer service here. I wanted to get a full Brazilian wax. I really loved the atmosphere and the kindness and cleanliness of the boutique. My esthetician, Natalia was very polite and did an exceptional job on the front portion of my Brazilian. However, she barely removed any hair from the back area. When I contacted the boutique about the incomplete wax the day after, they offered to remove the hair but only on the day I complained, and unfortunately I was going away for the weekend to visit my boyfriend and could not make the appointment. (Which I told Natalia about during our session). The business didn't give me any refund or charge me for only a partial Brazilian although that's what I received. This may seem petty but I got my Brazilian to visit my boyfriend and it was incomplete, and I didn't plan for an extra day just in case I needed to get my wax touched up. read more

I live in Columbus Ohio but was in La Jolla on vacation and wanted a Brazilian wax since I hadn't had time to get one before I left. I found her on Yelp and booked my spot. I have waxed on and off for three years but most times I am too lazy to book and end up shaving. I HATE shaving, for all the obvious reasons. Natalia was friendly, warm, extremely knowledgeable and gave me a ton of info on how South American women wax and their beauty process. Loved it and I will be trying all the tips she gave me! I am so happy I found this place! I had always gotten my waxing done at salons (hair salons, nail salons, spas, etc.), but once you experience waxing done by an actual waxing specialist, you will never trust anyone else! Sandra was patient, listened to my concerns (I have sensitive skin and have had bad experiences in the past with breakouts and severe irritation following waxing), and she is a total professional. My eyebrows came out perfectly shaped the first time, with no need for touch-ups at home afterward. The boutique is conveniently located in the village of La Jolla (ample street parking was available when I went), and it is extremely clean and pleasantly decorated. Finally, I have to mention one of the best features: the prices! Being a waxing "boutique" and in La Jolla, I was afraid the prices would be outrageous. But happily, the prices are very comparable/competitive with any other place where waxing services are offered. Plus, when I went to pay for my brow & upper lip wax, Sandra surprised me by not charging for the lip wax! Apparently they had sent out a coupon to clients on their mailing list for a complimentary lip wax, and even though I hadn't received it and didn't know about it, she offered it to me. I have to say that, what Natalia did was a miracle on my skin. At 33 years old, I was having acne breakouts for about 3 months, and I was in desperate need of help, since I had a trip coming up.
