Needed a blow out before a wedding.. and I'm just over the cookie cutter chains.. I asked the hotel concierge for a suggestion! When they recommended naturale I called and had the sweetest woman help me out for my booking. On the day of the wedding I had to change my app to a bit earlier and they were so accommodating! Had a wedding in San Diego so searched yelp to find a place where I could get my hair done for the rehearsal dinner and then both hair and makeup done for the wedding. I'm so glad I found Naturale Beauty Bar and listened to the great reviews! I read all the great reviews about Jocelyn so decided to request her. She did such a fantastic job on my hair for the rehearsal dinner-- I got compliments on it all night!! Everyone asked if they could come with me the next day to get their hair done here too. Loved everything about getting my hair done here with my sister! The owner is a wonderful Italian woman who provided us with lots of laughs and made us feel so welcome. My hair coming in was such a disaster- dried out rats nest... I seriously looked like a new person afterward. My sister and I had a wedding to go to that day and I was so happy they had available appointments. You really feel taken care of at this place. And my wonderful hairdresser was very patient with me as We scrolled through Pinterest looking for the best fishtail design. And she came through with exactly what I wanted. I had been having my hair professionally blown out twice a week for 11 years while living in Long Island, NY before moving to San Diego. It is by far one of life's most enjoyable simple pleasures... I have VERY thick coarse hair ... not the easiest to blow out. To do a good job, the stylist really has to know what they are doing. Naturale Hair Blows is a fabulous addition to La Jolla. I have been here twice now and the service has been wonderful. My hair looked amazing both times and lasted 3 to 4 days. The stylists really DO know how to do a good job that lasts. The salon is very clean. The people who work there are all polite and have nice personalities. I will be going here often. I highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone! read more

It's almost been a year since these photos were taken. Just one day before these were taken we had contacted a photographer, but that same day we needed hair and makeup done. It was a mess, and nothing was done on time. We called salon after salon and many only took appointments or we weren't very sure of the service. I also had to be ready before the photographer arrived. We eventually found this salon and let me say their service was amazing, more so because they accepted to take me in despite not having an appointment, everything was last minute for them as well, they had other clients to take care of, etc, but they still took their time to attend me. The hair and makeup was gorgeous. The ladies who attended to my mom and I were very generous and patient. The review is late, and I know the world is currently going through a lot with this unfortunate pandemic, but I really urge people to visit this place for any event you may have (of course when this is over, please stay home but please still support them) I hope to be able to come to this place once more and also visit these ladies (one named Yoselin and the owner) who were very very very nice. I am a relatively low maintenance bride, but I wanted my makeup done nicely but not too heavily. My fiance does not like it when it is caked on, but my mom really likes to seem me done up. My wedding was at the La Jolla Woman's Club on July 2nd, and I made an appointment at Naturale about a week before. I figured I could walk from my hotel over to the beauty bar and then walk back and get dressed with my bridesmaids. It was practical. I had been stressed about many other things in the planning process, and I needed to just chill out, and the ladies at Naturale made me feel so relaxed and special. They reserved the whole space for me for an hour, and they were so fun and kind. Jocelyn did my makeup and Arbi the owner advised. They were fantastic. Jocelyn seemed to know from the start just what I wanted and what would look good on me. They told me I could come back for a touch up if need be, but the makeup lasted all day and night, and it looked great in person and in pictures. I'm not a makeup kind of girl, but I felt like a million bucks on my big day! I will recommend Naturale highly to people for weddings, date nights, and any special occasion. read more

So pissed!! Just left and so unhappy with my hair. I just spent $40 on something I could do at home. I ask for full body hair with curls. My stylist put no product in my hair before blow drying. She finishes drying my hair and curls it a little. I look in the mirror and the curls are already falling. I asked her if she put any product in it. She says "no, just a little light spray" she even tells me the curls aren't going to stay. The topper was as I'm leaving she's says "bye, thank you" as she's staring at the computer screen. I came in for my trial on the day of my engagement photos, and Joselyn went through at least two different hairstyles for me, and then took it all down and curled it for me so I was photo shoot ready! We then did makeup and it was absolutely gorgeous. The day of the wedding was perfect and they closed down the whole salon for just us. They were extremely responsive in all the emails and made me feel confident we would get 10 girls in and out in time! I was in downtown La Jolla for a wedding and went to Naturale to get my hair and make-up done. I had a great blowout, then curls put in. At first the curls seemed way too tight as I asked for beachy waves, but luckily I had faith in my stylist and the weather. By the time I was ready for the wedding my hair looked perfect and exactly what I asked for. The make-up was already expertly applied with really high quality products. All in I had a great experience and was happy with how I looked for the wedding. I would suggest playing better music / upbeat music to set the vibe of the place a bit happier. They gave me a great deal and were so kind and friendly to my fiancé and I. To say they were accommodating would be an understatement, not only were they just that.. They know what they were doing and were quite friendly. The manager, Brittany did the airbrushing while Jocelyn did both my hair and the rest of the makeup. Brittany did some services I didn't request and I welcomed them. Nice lady.
