This guy is a magician! Other shops in the area suggested a new/used tailgate because of where the damage was on my 2025 Chevy Silverado. Made of aluminum, the damage was on the middle seam of the tailgate. A large dent from turning too sharp with enclosed trailer on the back. They took my tailgate off, so I didn't have to leave the whole vehicle. A few days later the owner called and said it was ready, and the results were just beautiful. You couldn't tell it had ever been damaged! Damage on the wallet wasn't so bad either. Extremely satisfied with the results!! Would definitely use Waxhaw Collision again! read more

We had just moved to the area when I was side swamped. Of course this all happened at the beginning of Covid so of course dealing with insurance and agents was a bit of a pain but Dennis who manages the front desk was very helpful. A bit back and forth and waiting for parts but I have to tell you that we were very pleased with the quality of work. Home town boys for sure and they really did take very good care of me. Had this guy do work on two cars of mine and both of them he broke things and tried to send them back to me with the broken parts! Just found another part that was broken on one of the vehicles! He has two 'pot heads' working for him that have the care of a gorilla while working on cars. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

Terrible experience getting my car repaired here. I thought I would do a good thing and patronize a local business instead of the big collision repair shops like Gerber or Caliber. Well that turned about to be a huge mistake. Where so I start... first issue was the estimate. They look at the car and tell me it will cost about $2400 and about two weeks to repair, I say great thinking I'll just pay out of pocket. Cool so I leave the car feeling good. As time goes by there is ZERO communication on status of repairs, I have to contact them every few days for an update. Strike one! Then I find out repairs will be significantly more than the estimate so now it's $6500 not $2400. Now I have to go through insurance. Strike 2! When repairs are finally done 5 weeks later, I pick up the car only to find that they gave me the wrong key (Had my own to drive home). So now I have to go back to get the right key. Strike 3! These guys gave me an estimate that ended up being 1/3 of the cost took 3 weeks longer than planned, gave me the wrong key but were willing to do NOTHING to acknowledge this cluster! I asked for deductible to be waived and they wouldn't do that. So I took the time to post this so that others can learn from my mistake. Go with the big guys who know what they are doing and communicate on progress and changes. I truly regretted this decision to have the car repaired here so if I can stop one other person from experiencing this pain then this review was worth the time it took me to write it! read more

A thoroughly disappointing experience and extremely poor customer service. Unfriendly disposition from main office employee ('not bothered if we do the work for you or not' kind of attitude), who at 0822hrs was already having a very BAD day. Arranged to have my front bumper re-sprayed (quoted in August 2022, finally arranged a date on 28th December - for first-thing Monday 23rd January 2023, and ASSURED this gave them time to have the new bumper delivered). Great. Or so I thought. This morning told that the company policy had 'changed' and now cars were required to be in the garage BEFORE they ordered the new parts. In summary - the new bumper wasn't in the garage and I'd just have to leave it there. Great! They could have told me that on the Saturday when I called to CONFIRM everything was on track for Monday's re-spray and they HAD the new bumper. Given they originally told me (back in August and December) it was 'difficult' getting a front bumper for my particular car, I didn't really believe they'd be able to get it speedily once they had my car in the garage - left to wait until they got a replacement bumper and found time to do the re-spray. Weighed up the pros and cons and decided that I'd take my car to a different garage - with a more reliable and friendly customer service approach. They were happy with that too - emailing that I should take my business 'elsewhere'. Not sure about you, but personally I'd rather spend more and take my car to a garage that actually 'wants' the work and extends courtesy and professionalism from the get-go. Will take my business to Charlotte area and avoid this Waxhaw car repair shop. My advice - do your research first. read more
