I've only been waxed a few times, but I've had some awkward experiences. Especially when getting anything waxed below the belt, you want it to be as comfortable an experience as possible. I had Katie for my Brazilian, and she was great! She got me in early (I arrived a little early since I wasn't sure where it was and didn't want to be late) and was very professional but also made me feel very comfortable. I had the most wonderful first experience here today. It feels kind of creepy being really happy after having over an hour of waxing done, but I've never had such a painless waxing experience. I was nervous about waxing several areas that I had never had done before and was shocked at how quick and easy and pain free it all was. Monica did such a great job! She was very thorough and gentle and explains each step to you and gives you some heads up before doing things. I also felt so comfortable with her for the Brazilian which even doing that for years with laser removal I always felt uncomfortable. I'm glad I found a place that I can feel good about going to and will actually be looking forward to my waxes. Also, Monica was so funny and so kind, which made the whole experience really fun. I started coming here to prepare for my wedding and I ended up coming back every month. I love this place! They take good care of you. I see Monica Dickinson and she is great!! She does a good job and I enjoy our conversations. I continued to go when I was pregnant and she was very caring about my condition they even gave me pillows to make me comfortable. I have never gotten a better brazilian! It was not painful at all, and Chelsea had a wonderful technique. She really put my mind at ease, and it was so quick and easy. I've been going here for at least a year (eyebrows only) and when I went in today they had upped their price by $3! They weren't cheap before but a 16% bump is craziness. I was 5 minutes late for my brow wax appointment. 7 minutes when the technician came into the waiting area and told me I'd have to reschedule because I was late. I tried to explain that I had a hell of a time getting out of the house with a 5 month old and 4 year old. I'd scheduled over a week in advance and had tried my hardest to be on time but a baby's hungry when a baby's hungry. They still told me nope. I don't want special treatment because I have kids but they could've shown me a little compassion and fit me in for a 7 minute brow wax. Also, their online scheduling system shows 30 minutes for a brow appointment, which I thought was a bit much, but with that in mind I did not in my wildest dreams think they'd turn me away. Later I got an email from them that I was a now show, to add insult to injury. I walked in to the nearest nail salon and got a decent, cheaper wax, tip included. I'm very fortunate to have beautiful kids and a husband who supports me to go get hair ripped off my face so it's all good, but can't we just be a little more forgiving, waxing Boulder folk? The loss of a new customer (who was planning on a bikini wax in another week) over 7 minutes with a viable explanation. I guess these guys don't need the business. read more

Going into waxing the city i was totally terrified. I was going for a full on, well, wax off which i had never done before and seriously dreaded. i was worried it was going to be the worst hour of my life filled with awkward silence and rubber gloves...I WAS SO WRONG!! BRENNA IS THE BEST PERSON EVER! not only did she make me feel so comfortable by starting up a great conversation right away she made me practically forget what was going on. The process was so painless and fast that the amazing results hardly seem possible. Not only was my actual experience here awesome, i just got a cute postcard in the mail with a personal message from Brenna thanking me for coming in and actually referencing points about our convo during the appointment. I was scheduled with Brenna and after reading a couple previous reviews noting how fantastic she was I felt way more at ease as a first time customer. It is true...she's amazing! I've had a ton of Brazilian waxes before but this one was honestly the best and painless. Brenna took good care and took her time with the waxing so I definitely felt I was in good hands. I know all of their estheticians are trained the same so I'd say it's a safe bet to be scheduled with anyone but Brenna was 5 stars for sure. I highly recommend her :) read more
