She does a very good Brazilian wax within 30-35 minutes. I'm a person that gets waxed monthly, so I really recommend waxing over shaving any-day. This is my first experience after many years of sugaring with a different type of hair removal and I'm loving it! It's not painful really and I have little to no irritation. I just picked up some toner and they offer discounts on that with a membership, they seem to carry high quality items. Their memberships are a great deal and the first wax of any service is 50% off so it's really affordable. I see Taylor and she's super personable, professional and efficient. So important when someone's getting all up in your bits and pieces that you feel comfortable around them. I am sad to have to write this, as I've been going here for about a year now. I started with a waxer that I really liked, she left- passed down to another waxer/ she left, and finally to a random waxer whom I won't name, but just wanted to put out there the cross contamination that happened during my wax that made me uncomfortable as a cosmetologist myself, so other people can be aware that this is NOT ok during a Brazilian wax. First and foremost, we all know, use the stick, throw it away. My waxer used both ends of the stick wich made me very uncomfortable because the other end of the stick she had already contaminated was dipped into the wax... Secondly, cotton pads that are going to be used should already be put on your station- my waxer was grabbing them straight from the tub of pads, if you think about that, the glove that she's used to perform my service on my you know what () were touching all the cotton rounds in the tub. Multiple cross contaminations ): It makes me so nervous because being in that vulnerable state already, and then having a thought of passing bacteria or more... is very scary and put me to the point to cancel my membership because who knows how many cross contaminations have been in that one wax pot, that one cotton round tub.. it's scary! Anyways, please be aware of your waxers sanitation standards. She was very sweet and did a great job, don't get me wrong- but I keep going over in my head how it's just not ok and Iam worried to have something passed onto me! And I shouldn't have to worry about that in the hands of a licensed professional. I am lucky I am one, so I was able to catch these faults- but to those who don't know any better- now you know!! I will start by saying I have been going to multiple locations since the end of 2000, & this is the only location I continue to have problems with! I had a membership with the houston location, moved to austin and switched my membership, well which I thought. Time goes by everything is fine, the wax specialist are superior, until I need to reschedule. I reschedule a day my car had to be put in the shop, mind you regardless of anytime or day they will still be taking money out of my account without hesitation on the 1st of every month! I end up rescheduling again because my car situation was still happening, I was then told I couldn't reschedule an I would have to come that day or I would still be charged either way. I let the manager on duty know to cancel my membership IMMEDIATELY! Which she said she did at that very moment. I CAUGHT A UBER once my car wasn't going to be done that day either. I work hard for my money and I refuse to have it wasted for them being assholes ! I get there an of course fall in love with Alexander, she's amazing. Skip to the next week and they still charge my card on the 1st after I said cancel my membership! I'm calling back to back no answer, leaving messages for a manager to get back to me etc . Then finally I get a TEXT saying I would have to call the houston location to get my membership canceled, they won't be able to refund me! WHAT?!? Not even a call but a text & why the hell was I told you would cancel it that day if you couldn't! End that story with me calling my amazing houston location she refunded me that same day an apologized for this locations crap. Fast forward to now, I try again because I just hate looking for new people, for my wax and nails etc. Just dug a deeper hole! so I said I just won't be a member but I just will pay that day an maybe just do a walk in. I didn't want to make an appointment but I did want to stick with Alexander as my waxer they weren't answering so it sent me the text set up, at which I just made an app. to see if she was there . Not even an 1 hour later I realized I selected the wrong time slot for my schedule. I call like hey I may have to cancel my time and see what time is still up for Alexander, before I could even get that out Melanie stated YOU WILL BE CHARGED ANYWAY! I said what? You haven't even let me tell you that I just want to switch the time, she continued to say well if it's not today you still will be charged today, because we don't have anybody in that slot anymore! That was it! OVER IT ! I hung up an within 5 mins she charged my card, an my appointment wasn't until another 5 hours. (I didn't make my appointment in a 8 hour span either) I'm going to dispute, an even though I just wanted to change the time, I blame myself for trying again with this place when clearly that don't give a shit. I had to ask her to check the area again, and even after that, there was a lot of hair leftover she could have still gotten. 2. The 50% off coupon on your first service yelp deal is expired.
