Our waiter Matt Turner nice guy always ask for our food and drinks. The service from him was excellent . I love the Irish Pub atmosphere. I order Guinness it was on tap and poured right kinda right, "If you have been to Ireland you know it has to be poured "just right", but it was still fresh tasting the Wicklow chicken was good and the Rueben was ok nothing special. I would recommend this place for a change of American food!!

    Wonderful menu

Wonderful Irish pub. Been here twice I will be back. Fish & Chips are so good. It reminds me of my time in Ireland.

Sat at the bar. Always great service and conversation.

Just stopped in for a quick bite. Great service. Really quick turn around from the kitchen. We're here about 5pm on a Wednesday. Half price appetizers during happy hour, so we tried the chicken strips. Really crispy, pretty tasty. I have the watermelon splash and a husband had the painkiller. Both really delicious. Husband said the painkiller taste like the Caribbean, lol. The watermelon absolute is yummy!

8/2/25 Had a party of 9. Waited 1.5 hours for food. It was not busy and the quality of food was very poor.

They also have a kids' menu, even though it is not listed on the regular menu, which is nice to know if you are bringing children with you. The staff is always awesome, friendly, and welcoming. I also love that the restaurant is located inside an old historic hotel, which gives it such a cool atmosphere -- and maybe even a few ghost stories. Overall, it is a great spot with good food, great service, and a fun historic feel. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

We have a gluten free eater, they were out of the buns, which was fine, but then the server came back to the table to inform us the Owner ran to the store to get them so I (others who would order) could have a full meal. Talk about impressed and a true customer focus. Wow! My burger was scrumptious, tender, juicy (Not greasy) and the fish and chips were delicious (I was told). Another had the cajun chicken pasta, they were also highly satisfied with their choice of dinner. Thank you Chris for great service, friendly smile and a warm welcome. The waitress was the only good part about the meal because she was friendly and always had a smile. 4 adults and 1 children was $175 for a few "strips" of catfish and 6 shrimp on a single plate that was a full meal. I grew up in the Ozarks so I know catfish and I am sure if you put all three plates together it may have equaled one fillet. Oh, but it doesn't stop there, any table over 4 is 25% automatic tip. At least the waitress in this diner made $32. I would never recommend and never return!

My husband and I go on little mini vacations every six months or so without the kids and this year we decided to go to Branson. After planning a trip to this exact hotel about two years ago and having to cancel because of circumstances outside of our control we decided to rebook here since we were so excited about it the first time. I will tell you if you book through Expedia make sure you call to follow up with them to make sure you have all of the information you need to get into the building if you are going to get there late at night. When you get there you are greeted by the most charming street and when you walk in it feels like you are a part of a hallmark movie. The environment itself brought me so much joy. We arrived around 10:30 at night and it was quiet. We went up to our room and it was small but this is a historic building with a lot of character so unless you are planning on spending most of your trip in your room this is/was a non issue for us. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean and they had everything we could have wanted and needed. I did read some reviews about the water temperature/ temperature of the rooms. I will say there was no control for the central air/heat in our room that we noted BUT THAT BEING SAID it was comfortable the entire time we were there. There was also a ceiling fan that we could control via remote control that kept it the perfect temperature for us the entire time. We had a room that looked out onto the Main Street below us and the old railroad tracks next door and it was so pleasant after a long day to be able to watch the people below. Now that we've gone over the room, let's talk about the customer service. It has been so so long since I have stayed in a place that has had such exceptional customer service. John made sure we had everything we needed and more, making sure every time we walked by the front desk that we didn't need anything. Not only did he make sure our check in and stay was seamless, it really seemed like he cared about our trips overall experience. Again, it is a smaller place so by the end of our trip it felt like he knew us and we knew him. He made sure we were happy, fed and that our time there was special. Whether that be making sure we had chairs to sit on at the lake we were planning on spending a day at, to a place to sit for the Fourth of July fireworks with the perfect view, to giving his name at other establishments near by so we were taken care of. I will say to his praise as well even places we went to and mentioned where we were staying had nothing but the absolute kindest things to say about him and what a great place it was. Now, one of my favorite things, the food. There is a restaurant located inside of the inn, this is where most of the hustle and bustle comes from during the day and really truly brings the place alive. The staff were excellent, so personable and just fun. The food was fantastic and as a self certified food snob I was never disappointed. At one point I looked at my husband and said this is the first time in a while I have felt like the food is worth the hype. We went into the bar in the afternoons and had appetizers and drinks and were greeted with the same friendly face behind the bar each time(I wish I had gotten his name but he was wonderful - if you go tell him I said hi!). We tried several appetizers from the nachos to the pretzel and the fish and chips entree and everything left us happy and satisfied. The drinks were always good and again the service here is exceptional. The location is pretty central in hollister. We had everything we needed within walkable distance from the inn. At one point I told my husband I preferred hollister over Branson. We had initially gone for all of the touristy stuff Branson had to offer. We spent a good day there doing the titanic museum and the mountain coaster, but I think both of us preferred the slowness and more personable feeling hollister had to offer. The other business along the strip were also so welcoming and beautiful and just treated you with the same openness as family. I really wish I could describe to you just how much I loved it here but the previous statements will have to hold to be true. I have not been so sad to leave a place in a long time and we will be back many times over.
