This is a cute bar & grill that appears to be frequented by both locals and Branson tourists. The Toucan mascot and origin story are featured in the front of the menu. Cute & funny/kitchy. Everyone is greeted with a complementary taste of their signature cocktail, which I think was called the treehouse punch. It was a very nice touch and really set the tone! We were there during happy hour and enjoyed a gigantic serving of loaded nachos for only $7.50 - half off! I ordered the Cubano sandwich with a side salad and it was also a very large portion. I took half of the sandwich home for the next day. I would definitely order this again! My mom ordered the carrot cake for her lunch and was served a piece big enough for three people. LOL! This is a fantastic place to stop on the Branson strip (76) for lunch, happy hour or evening beer & cocktails. It's like a neighborhood bar meets Margaritaville! There are many TVs, lots of seating and room at the bar, and also an upstairs with a pool table. We didn't go upstairs so I'm not sure what else is up there, but we will definitely be back. Next for me was a Turkey paninni with Gouda Mac & Cheese. The mac & cheese was my favorite. The Turkey was on the lighter side, which I was looking for at that time of night. The husband got the steak burger, which he really enjoyed. The garlic parmesan fries is definitely the way to go! Very good flavor and the fries are cooked well. All the items on the menu were priced very reasonably as well. Jordan took great care of us and was extremely friendly. What a fun place to grab a bite and an adult beverage. Kids are welcome. Although it's a building with free parking inside you feel that you are in a tree house. It has 2 stories, but we didn't venture upstairs. Outdoor seating options as well. We went around 8:30pm on a Monday night. It wasn't crowded, but they were busy, but the food nor the service didn't suffer. We started with the Dart Frog Dip appetizer. Mashed chickpeas topped with olive tapenade and roasted tomatoes and served with crispy naan bread. Delicious and you don't see naan on a menu very often. Highly recommend. Entrees were the Italian Beef and Rueben's Revenge. I love Italian Beef and don't run into it often enough. This wasn't your Chicago Italian Beef, but it was good in this case. I do wish the beef had been a bit more tender and I should have ordered a side of giardiniera. Cole slaw was my side of choice. It was good. The Rueben Revenge was my partner's choice and he enjoyed it; said he would probably order it again. He also had a side of slaw. So, so many specialty cocktails to choose from, but we had beer. Without any family gatherings or invitations to attend, my husband and I contacted our travel agent to assist us in making arrangements for the Thanksgiving holiday. We ultimately selected Branson, Missouri, as our destination. Our initial visit in Branson was to this establishment for a sandwich and quesadilla prior to checking into our hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who displayed genuine kindness. A staff member, Kim extended an invitation to join them for Thanksgiving dinner, which we graciously accepted. The following day, we encountered Crazy Craig, Santa, other guests and staff members. Although our stay was brief due to the lengthy drive back to Texas, we did enjoy ourselves. We found the food & ambiance to be satisfactory. I was particularly fond of 'YO-YO Granny,' whose authenticity and warm demeanor created a cozy atmosphere. Atmosphere wasn't really what I expected, it was a Sunday night and I was expecting music, a lively scene, and it was just quiet and kind of dull. The servers were very nice. The food didnt meet expectations, it wasn't awful but not anything to write home about. Great portions but my garlic Parmesan fries were very much disappointing. I was expecting some kind of sauce but they just threw dry garlic and Parmesan on there and served it with yum yum sauce that I didn't think suited it at all, and when I asked for ranch they upcharged me a dollar for it. This place isn't a restaurant -- it's a social experiment to see how much misery a human can endure before walking out. The bartender acted like I personally ruined his childhood, the server was about as attentive as a houseplant, and the manager's leadership skills could be replaced by a traffic cone. The food? Oh, it arrived... eventually... cold, sad, and looking like it lost a fistfight in the kitchen. Some dishes never even showed up, yet somehow they still managed to appear on my bill. Houdini himself would've been proud. The "live music" was less of a band and more of a hostage situation for my eardrums -- I left with tinnitus and a deeper appreciation for silence. The place was so dirty I wasn't sure if I was in a dining room or the set of a post-apocalyptic zombie movie. Bottom line: if you enjoy being overcharged for disappointment, screamed at by amplifiers, and treated like a nuisance for expecting food at a restaurant... then by all means, welcome home. We were a little hesitant when we pulled up, but given the excellent reviews, we decided to give it a shot. The food was so good! And the service was excellent. We were greeted promptly and as soon as we sat down, we were brought shots of some kind of punch. This is only negative part of our visit-we do not drink, and I don't like having someone assume I do and putting it in front of me. I think they should ask if you want a sample first. But not a deal breaker at all. I ordered the turkey pesto panini...wow! It was so much food! It was so hot and fresh, and tasted amazing. The serving of super yummy fries was enough for 3-I couldn't eat half of them. This was one of the best places we ate. Hub had yingling beer and their "Amazon 1lb burger", and it did not disappoint and as he said how could I forget how much meat 1lb is?! So if you want an extremely tasty burger-come here and come hungry! Our son had their chicken tenders with fries and he was super happy with them! I tried their drink of the day called "crazy life" and it definitely did not disappoint! It was so smooth and tasty! Highly recommend!
