Because I lived so far and work M-F, I could only do a weekend appointment and Rebecca worked with me to accommodate this. I was coming straight from Boston to her studio for a massage and got stuck in awful traffic. She suggested we reschedule so I wouldn't miss any of my session and that I would feel more relaxed than coming out of a huge traffic jam and get more out of the massage. It was very considerate of her. I have had many massages from various places, but a few stand out to me and my massage from Rebecca was one of them. It was perfect. I fell asleep for a little while, which for me is a sign of a great massage. When the session was over, Rebecca waited for me in her office while I got dressed. When I went there to meet her she was doing yoga stretches which I thought was great. Too many of us neglect our bodies, especially throughout the work day. If I lived near New Milford, I would frequent this establishment. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Tina greeted me at the door, showed me where to place my shoes and led me into one of their spa rooms. Tastefully decorated with subtle lighting and soothing music playing, I felt relaxed even before the massage started. I have been there a few times for one hour massages and felt so good at the end of my last one that I begged for an additional 30 minutes. Now I only will book 90 minutes massages with Tina. She does an amazing job releasing muscle tension and pain, alternating between firm and soft technuques and utilizing hot stones in between. Omg DO NOT get a massage by the older man!!! I felt like he was taking out his anger on me, for I don't know what because we didn't really speak. I love a firm massage but this was way too painful. I left hurting more than when I went in. Every time I told him it was hurting he said it needs to hurt because I have knots. He would ease up and then go back at it with all his force, primarily with his elbow. He seemed to be more focused on massaging my gluts which made me uncomfortable as I came in for a shoulder and back massage. I only went for 30 min and was dying for it to be over because it hurt so much. By that evening my entire back was blotchy with bruises from the massage that I had to soak in Epsom salts and couldn't sleep all night from the pain. 2 days later my back is still sore to the touch and the bruises are even darker .... NEVER AGAIN! This is what I get for going for the cheap convenient place in the mall.

So when I showed up I realized that Annie wasn't in. Another woman was there. I am assuming she is the new owner, and she was incredibly rude. She literally pushed me into the massage room and when I asked to use the restroom first she was very irritated. I then went back to the massage room. She came in and asked me to pay first. So no problem I gave her my card to pay. She then asked what tip I was adding. I said $15 which was over 20% on a $70 massage. She gave me back my card and said that wasn't enough. She wanted $25. I said that 20% is good for a massage. She got very angry and kept saying $25 tip.This went on for a few minutes. I was seriously blown away that we were even having this conversation... so then she grabbed my card out of my hand again and went to leave the room to run it and that's when I had enough. I asked her to please give me my card back and told her I was leaving. She got very angry again and threw the card at me and slammed the door to the massage room. I couldn't believe this was happening. So I came out of the room and asked her name. She wouldn't give it to me. I then saw a young guy come out of another room and asked her for a receipt which she refused to give him. He was very frustrated and left. I then asked for her name one last time and told her I have never been treated like this before. She refused to give me her name. She then started physically pushing me towards the front door. I'm blown away! She should not be in business. If by some chance Annie is still the owner and this woman works for her I hope that Annie sees this review and fires her ASAP! Then as others have mentioned the discussion about tip starts, she basically wanted the same amount again before continuing the massage!
