Note: This review on Google was taken down, because it was flagged by the Blue Sky staff. Very SHADY! Anyway, Blue Sky brings up very mixed feelings. The folks were well intentioned and caring but not very detailed oriented. Communication always seemed to be an issue, and my medications were never quite right. The individual therapy was fine, and the groups were hit or miss, depending on who facilitated. The life coaches were just unreliable but nice and well intentioned. My biggest reservation involved our dependence on rides to the store, appointments or to the clinic. Being on time always seemed to be an issue, and schedules would change at the last minute with no communication. I intended my stay to be a six month treatment experience but only completed one month. That's all I could take. I was discharged and transferred to a sober living facility but foolishly decided to continue with Blue Sky IOP for "treatment continuity". I lasted 3 more weeks before reaching the end of my rope. Overall, Blue Sky was a learning experience and like most such services, it's exactly what you make of it. I sought to make the best of my time there but was very glad to leave and finally cut ties completely. UPDATE: Today, I am working on 3 years sobriety and remain hopeful about long term recovery. Now that some time has past, I definitely see how Blue Sky was a major challenge in my post treatment recovery, but I plugged into another program and learned from that whole ordeal. Honestly this place is amazing!! The staff there is wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better team (Jackie and Heather). This place helped me actually get through my traumas with both groups and individual work!! The life coaches were great as well, very kind and caring to each client. I am writing an update to my review. Since my last review, I have not been back to Blue Sky however I have been harassed by a "life coach" from the company. (S)he has sent me threatening texts as well as called me nasty names. (S)he said (s)he was one of the life coaches and that (s)he remembers me. Whether or not this person is actually an employee at Blue Sky is something I do not know for sure, however I am sure that this reflects more on the program than anything. It doesn't matter how far away the rehab for your loved one is. Go check it out in person! See it, speak to the doctors. If they say you can't meet in person, as they did to me. Don't even consider them! Take your loved one to a place that is recommended by someone you trust. Don't make the same mistake I made for my son. Their outside doctors do not prescribe correctly. Bluesky behavioral health has played a pivotal role in my recovery. The staff is absolutely amazing and cares immensely about their clients. The groups are extremely informative, insightful and were able to help me comfortable being myself again. It is because of blue sky that my recovery has any chance of being successful. Blue sky has given me the ability to love myself again and I was taught how to cope with emotions I previously would've been baffled by. Reading some of the other reviews makes me wonder if those who wrote them were even interested in bettering themselves or if they even attended the same program I did. I do not understand any of the resentments against the staff, when I was in attendance I was treated with nothing but the upmost respect and understanding. While attending I heard nothing but positive words about the staff, the other clients I spoke to all spoke very highly of their therapists and the respect/compassion they were shown. The staff are amazing role models for those looking to increase their own quality of life and are sure to treat their clients with compassion and respect. I am coming up on one year of sobriety and I owe all my thanks to the incredible staff at blue sky. read more

I attended BSBH on and off as outpatient for the last four years, with four months as an "inpatient," should you choose to call it that. BSBH is not for everyone. I am going to make that clear. If you are in a spot to own up to your recovery, and have the drive to push forward to stabilize your life in terms of real human activities outside of treatment alone, you will love this place. If you are in a darker spot and needing more help, assistance, and someone else to hold you accountable, this place is not for you. BSBH approaches treatment encouraging you to take responsibility for your own actions. I understand that everyone is different, and there is not one single road for recovery that works for everyone. However, after all of the inpatients I have been to, this place has helped me the most. The staff is generally wonderful, and the concepts they teach even outside of DBT have changed my life. I recommend this place when people are looking for a good group that allows them to still live their lives outside of treatment, as even while I was inpatient with them I had a job throughout each week. I do not recommend this to those struggling with eating disorders, as have had one myself, only an actual inpatient and residential program was able to assist me in that recovery. Anywhere you go, it will have it positives and negatives. I would ask you keep that in mind as no place is perfect. I still believe for all that BSBH has, it's the most amazing and life changing place I have been to. read more

Everything was great except for some of the life coaches, repetitive groups and Rob Deletis should lose his license.

I gave them three stars because they helped me understand myself after ejecting me from the program kicking me out because I was too hard to deal with I gave them three stars . There are some good points to the program especially the program manager at the time she was nice her name I won't mention she was a sweet person who took no bullshit from anyone One of the partners of the company al Nice guy friend of my families great guy better than the program director at the time or program manager he is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet in your life al is one of the nicest people The therapy team consisting of Dr. Moore and Jayme I wouldn't say I was very shocked that people weren't very satisfied I was not happy with my team of doctors I had to outsource doctors in Manhattan because their doctors couldn't write my prescriptions they got me sick and I had a seizure because of them I think them for nothing the clinical team The life coaches some of them were very good Jessica Who no longer works there was my favorite of all time I never found out what happened to her but she was absolutely amazing a guy named Kurt absolutely that one of the best life coaches on the planet nicest guy a life coach name Ashley who now runs the program she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met in my life then there is the former program director Chanda I could say a few things about her she's sweet and I will not say anything about her I'm not afraid to but she was my life coach for a short time then it was Amber who they brought in to work with me because nobody Else want to work with me The jobs but I had I owned a cow there I worked for farms I did all kinds of things I worked for a dairy farm in Cornwall bridge Connecticut I won't go there it was a great experience I work for Ryder Farm in Brewster they were the nicest people I've ever met in my life hats off to Betsy and the Ryder family I had been around a Notorious teacher Who had sex with a student in Connecticut I won't mention her name she was a patient there they had all kinds of people some really nice people who wanted to clean up their lives some names who got charged with something it's all over the news overall I get this program three stars. I was around drug attic's mental patience and all kinds of people overall I'm going to say my experience in 10 years watching the other company go out of business it was hilarious and it times scary you never knew what was gonna happen at the clinic you never knew what was gonna happen in general there were some really bad points of my life and some great points in my life I'm very fortunate to be back where I live driving working two jobs making $140,000 a year I Thank my family and friends for getting me out because they would've kept me and put me in a another location I kept getting evicted from apartments that they would put me in it was pretty bad read more

Like others if I could give it a ZERO I absolutely would. They don't care about their patients, all they care about is getting your money! Their "all inclusive" philosophy is just a way to keep charging you more and more and calling it "all inclusive". They send one line item invoices and expect you to pay them, who does that, and when you ask for a detailed invoice it takes them weeks to pull one together. Seems shady that they can't automatically print one of for you, nor can they articulate what is truly included in their "all inclusive" charges. read more
