Apparently, at Wayne Trendy Nail Salon, pink and purple are interchangeable colors. Who knew? My daughter and I had a 2:00 PM appointment and arrived on time, but we weren't seen until 3:00 PM. When we arrived, I explained that I needed to leave by 3:45 PM and was assured there would be enough time for both a manicure and a pedicure. To help make that happen, I suggested having one technician do my pedicure while another did my manicure. That suggestion was ignored. During my pedicure, I was on an important phone call and didn't immediately notice that the wrong polish color had been applied. I selected color #299, a light purple shade. What I received was bright pink. When I pointed out the mistake, the technician argued that we simply had different definitions of purple. After I held the sample swatch next to my toe, he finally admitted that the wrong color had been used. If this salon considers the color on my toes "light purple," then my dog is a unicorn. Despite acknowledging the mistake, no effort was made to correct it. There was no offer to remove the polish, repaint it, discount the service, or make things right in any way. Because the salon was already running an hour behind schedule and time was spent debating whether pink is purple, I no longer had time for the manicure I had scheduled. The technician only trimmed my cuticles, yet I was charged $35. When I questioned the charge, I was told that the polish portion of a manicure is "optional." The reality is that I missed out on my manicure because the salon was an hour late--not because I changed my mind. I arrived on time, clearly communicated my time constraints, and even suggested a solution that could have helped. Instead, I left with bright pink toes, no manicure, and a bill for services I didn't receive. Poor time management, poor customer service, and no accountability. I won't be returning. read more

I went to this nail salon with my friend this morning. She told me she didn't know how to do simple straight lines on my nails to make a "V" shape. Ok. I let her do French tips. She did one of my acrylics so crooked and refused to take the tip off and restart. It looks like it's hanging off my nail. The acrylic is so thick and there's crumbs on them that she painted over. I got charged $75 and my friend got gel acrylic short white square and got charged 65. They aren't even shaped well and this crooked one is really bothering me but she continued to just pile on the acrylic on top and think it fixed everything. I'm not coming back here. The board says 45 for gel acrylic but charged my friend $65. Makes sense..... read more

Just got my nails refill & cut down for $17. Perfect quick, "no frills" shop. In and out in less than an hour. Manicure came out beautiful. The woman (assuming she was the owner, or at least the one in charge) was extremely nice and friendly. We had a little back and forth small talk that helped the time pass while watching Property Brothers lol I would never even ATTEMPT to get a wax or anything too complex here. There are plenty upscale spots nearby for that. But for "just the basics" this place is cheap and gets the job done. read more

This is my go to spot for manicures and pedicures. There's a special Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for man/ped for $27 otherwise it's $10 for manicure and $20 pedicure. There's a large selection of OPI and Essie nail polishes. They also do waxing. The women are friendly. They accept credit cards as well as cash and checks. There's street parking in Wayne. read more

I can't believe this place.......... Terrible quality and no skills! I feel like I could do my own nails better. The shaping is terrible and the polish is patchy. Coming here is a terrible decision. Extremely overpriced and not worth it. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. read more

I love this place and have never gotten a better manicure!!! The people there are very very nice and is a family run business. Their prices are also really reasonable ($10 for manicure). I don't know what they do but their manicures and pedicures last a freakishly long time with no chips. You can easily go a week with your nails looking as good as the day you stepped out of the salon. I HIGHLY recommend!!!! read more

First time here. Not impressed at all. When I have to go home and file and clean up around my nail beds, that's just a poor manicure. Also, when it looks like I'm "due for a Pedicure" instead of just had one, bad. This was a complete waste of time and money. read more

Got my nails done Monday after I went home I noticed missing spots that weren't painted awful job. Went to get it fixed and she put top coat on my fingers and asked if it was better and I said no it's there,they had to redo my nails and the two women that were fixing them they were talking loudly in there native language barely saying a word to me. After all said and done I still walked out with a chipped nail they didn't fix. Never again will I go here. Awful job. read more

When you arrive at this place, the sight is scary. There is residue and dirt everywhere. Apparently if you get the spa pedicure which is 5 dollars extra, you don't get any massage. I think my 3 year old son could paint them better. They stare at you and i personally think that if you can find somewhere better to go, you should go there. I got my nails and toes there, and the people that go there are just too much. On top of it all, the place is smaller than my bathroom. It's gross. There was a cockroach in my tub. I had a manicure at this salon a few weeks ago and thought I would never go back, it was so mediocre. absolutely no hand massage which is what I live for. Almost went to Blooming nails in Wayne for a $30 pedicure but decided I wanted to spend $20 rather than 30 and went back into Wayne nail salon. Mary gave me a fabulous pedicure. Nope. The lady who did my toes was gruff, and rough. The owner (I think) did my fingers and she was much more pleasant. However there's no amount of customer service that hides a job that just wasn't well done. My nails were not smooth after filing - I had to ask that they be fixed. Nail color bled onto my cuticles. Top coat was around my cuticles and under my nails too. And the polish was uneven. Reasonably cheap, but you get what you pay for. read more

Absolute worst job on my nails I've ever had. I went there for a quick fix because another salon messed them up first. I went in for a gel refill and I was in so much pain the entire time. Then I got out and noticed how streaky the polish was, that they went over my cuticles with the acrylic powder and made them way too short when I asked them not too. Please don't go here. They also only spoke in Vietnamese and it was extremely uncomfortable because this time I could actually tell they were talking about me due to them pointing/nodding/ and staring at me. read more

Spoke vietnamese the entire time I was there. after I was done and asked how much the bill did not reflect what was on the pricing menu she quoted me $37 for a refill and gel polish it should have been $32 and she charged me to file down my nails. I just moved to the area, and wanted to try out Wayne nails because it was close to my house. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. First of all, my mani and pedi were done at the same time which I didn't like. I wanted to relax after working all week (it was Friday). I was hoping for a more spa like experience. Pedi: turned out cute but felt very rushed. My feet were only briefly dipped in the water. The cuticle cutting/buffing was quick, but alright. Manicure: Not good, definitely below my expectations, barely soaked my nails. Again they were just dipped in the water and rubbed with a wet paper towel? Odd. The gel polish is all uneven around the edges because my cuticles were not trimmed correctly. I also still have a hang nail and the polish is really far away from my cuticles. She also sprayed alcohol all over my hands to get the sticky gel off. It was a very sloppy manicure. I still gave a $10 tip on the $45 I spent which was very generous for the work that was done. I will be driving 20 minutes to Media Nails to get my nails done from now on. They take their time, are neat, and even use hot towels on your hands for the same price. read more
