I order delivery from Wayne's all the time. Their pizza is satisfying and the veal, meatball and Italian subs are delicious. I like their steak and cheese but it could be a little juicer. I have had their burger dinners which are pretty good except sometimes on weekends they taste like day old burgers. This is typical at MANY places you order from. It's not all the time at Wayne's though. I do recommend Wayne's to anyone. Note that everyone has their own taste for pizza and other foods and most places have different ways to prepare the pizza with various toppings. Ex: Pizza sauces taste different per restaurant. Different ingredients in Italian subs. Some add sweet or hot capicola (original ingredient for Italian subs), Instead of mortadella, they'll use normal bologna (should be in an American sub!). So opinions on what tastes good or bad is up to the individual and of course, if the restaurant itself truly serves dry steak, soggy salads, day old subs, or pasta not cooked "Al Dente". I'm making my way through Worcester's pizza scene and Wayne's was going to come up eventually. I ordered through them via uber eats. They were speedy and despite many other reviews I see on here, the food arrived as quickly, if not more quickly, than average. Trust me, my lazy ass has a lot of experience in this area. (The area of delivery, not necessarily geographical). Their appetizer menu is more impressive than your conventional pizza place. You can't even always expect fries which this place has plus curly fries PLUS cheesy fries. There's some other good shit like all sorts of wings, jalapeno poppers, broccoli PUFFS, fried mushroom (what the hell?), and potato skins if. Regarding the rest of their menu, they have all sorts of subs: cold subs, hot subs, chicken subs, FAT subs (are the rest of the subs skinny?), in addition to calzones, wraps, pastas, and dinner plates. They have a standard build-your-own pizza menu or specialty pizzas which include philly steak pizza, chicken and broccoli alfredo pizza, chicken bacon ranch, mexican, greek, the options continue and continue. Let's talk about the pizza first. We ordered a classic cheese with garlic. A large one topping is $13.75. The crust was not a New York style thin crust, nor was it a chicago-style deep dish. I would say that the crust thickness was standard for American, non-specialty pizza. It held up well against the dreaded sog and maintained its crispness. The sauce was actually better than average, very flavorful and for once, its quantity was adequate. I'm a sauce bitch. The cheese was plentiful. For an outside-of-new-york pizza, this was EXCELLENT. Some of the best pizza I've had in Worcester. We also ordered eggplant parm. Again, the sauce here was definitely lacking. This is a common problem that I've had with eggplant parms in this area. Is it normal for eggplant parm to be lacking in sauce? I'll have to do some research later. Very oniony again so if you like onions, you'll be happy. The eggplant was like in square form and it was crunchy and crisp and spectacular. I could munch on those eggplant squares all day tbh. Like with the pizza, they do not skimp on the cheese. Finally, I can't pass up on an order of cheese fries. They do some interesting shit here and put TWO kinds of cheese. I don't know what kind of cheeses they are or if they're even real cheese but one was a more orange, velveeta-like substance and the other was a white more solid-type of cheese. Tina dove into these first and was not a fan. Being covered in that cheese-like substance made the fries themselves very soggy but the over abundance of cheesy goo tasted amazing and was a very pleasurable experience to consume, in my opinion. This is like a hedonist, cheat-day order for sure. Don't order this shit if you're on any sort of diet. Ultimately, very high grades for Wayne and his pizza place. Honestly wow I mean you don't go to a pizza shop like Wayne's expecting gourmet ofFerings but this was absolutely the definition of a crappy pizza experience. Like complete foobar. They opened at 11. We wEre craving pizza from the night before aNs we're eager to get a delivery order in. Called freight at 11:05. Phone rang for ever till we hung up and tried again. 3 times.. wanting to give this place a try for a while. 4th times a charm. Get through and I order one large half cheese half pepperoni - small steak and cheese- and a Greek salad. 1.5 hours later no food. We call and they simply oFfer a half ass apology saying they were busy. ?? How we had to have been one of your first orders oF the day? 15 mins later the driver shows. He was apologetic. The food just really was terrible. The steak and cheese was inedible... the pizza was your run of the milly mill frozen crust with jar cheap sauce and oily cheap cheeSe. Arrived lukewarm so all the cheap cheesE just stickers to itself when your try too grab a pice. Nice. To add insult To injury a Greek salad is simply a iceberg medley bag with some feta added. It may have been the best part of the meal. It's sad the Worcester really doesn't have too many good neighborhood pizza shops. But you can certainly do much better than Wayne's. My job we had ordered for lunch as we work about a quarter mile away from the place. We wanted something that was quick but fulfilling. I had ordered a Sub and my co-worker ordered a steak salad, we were told it would take 40 mins for delivery. We WAITED almost 2 hours for 2 items. The steak on the salad was COLD and WRONG SALAD dressing, the sub roll was HARD AS A ROCK where I could not even eat it. I use to frequent Wayne's quite a bit in the 80-s and 90' s excellent reputation and great quality food. Service was excellent with a smile from the two sisters!! Back in the hood today by chance and ordered my old favorite Roast Beef, asked for it toasted as usual. Showed up five minutes later and it was ready already. I asked the young man if he toasted it, absolutely was his response. Well it's in front of me now and the meat is Refrigerator cold..cheese not even melted. Firstly... They DO deliver within the area. Wayne's Pizza is one of if not the best pizza in Worcester... My rating is based in comparison to other pizza places not against the whole food industry... Obviously you wouldn't compare a pizza place to a fine five star restaurant. Only 4 stars because seating is a little limited but if you are taking out; with Wayne's you can't miss... My personal favorite is the Shredded Chicken and Pineapple... Just be warned... after pizza at this place... most others will be paled in comparison. I like the food, problem is the service. Extremely slow. I called in an order and they said 20 minutes. I know that's never the case so I get there 30 minutes later- food not even cooked yet. Wayne's used to be known for their amazing subs but now, not so much. Have finally learned my lesson to stop going there when order after order is NOT made correctly. Try asking for a grinder to be toasted. You won't get a toasted grinder but yet one that has been wrapped up in aluminum foil and warmed up. If I wanted a warm bun I would have asked for such. I asked for "toasted". When that didn't work I then asked for "toasted well". Still didn't work, I only get a warmed bun. When I called to complain they were very nice and agreed that toasted does not mean to warm the bun but to actually toast. Tried one last time thinking the issue was resolved. Guess what. Toasted only means that the bun will be warm. How to get a grinder truly toasted at Wayne's pizza, beats me but I'm taking my business where they know how to toast correctly. read more

Not impressed in the least. We ordered a salad, a pizza, pasta with extra sauce/cheese and fries. Despite being 7mins away delivery took 40 mins on top of the 40 they said it would take. I grew up in Worcester and this place has the best pizza and grinders. My family ate there for many years. Always good food and service. Whenever I get to visit my hometown, Wayne's is literally the first thing I go to even before I visit family. Nothing in Orlando compares.
