It arrived at my door with the gravitational pull of a small planet. I opened the box and the cheese was bubbling like a witch's cauldron in a Shakespeare play. Being a man of zero patience, I took a bite immediately. ​Did I lose the first layer of skin on the roof of my mouth? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. ​The crust had a crunch that was audible three streets over, and there was enough grease to lubricate a mid-sized sedan, which is exactly how God intended pizza to be. I fell into a cheese coma at 7:00 PM and woke up today wondering what year it was. ​Pros: - Cheesy enough to solve structural engineering problems. ​Sauce tastes like it was made by a grandmother who loves you but worries you're too thin. ​Cons: - My shirt is now 40% pepperoni oil (my fault, not theirs). read more

We all know Burncoat Pizza offers incredible pies. I'm writing this review for one purpose - don't sleep on their subs! One of our favorites is the BBQ chicken (which pairs well with a cab sav). The Fenway sausage and teriyaki steak or incredible as well. The subs are priced very reasonably ~$10. One sub can fill two hungry adults. Burncoat Pizza is an awesome locally owned neighborhood joint with excellent customer service. Thanks for keeping our bellies full throughout the year! read more

FIRST OF ALL, the people who KNEW about Burncoat PIZZA & didn't say ish to me...y'all ain't ish!!! Second, the 1st pic is when I opened the box in the car so I wouldn't forget to get a pic before I tried it...I drove 15mins & was starving. Third, a big piece of & chicken LEAPED off the slice & onto my chest as I tried to take the second bite. Prob have a 2° burn but the pizza was so I won't bother to sue them. I've ordered from here a few more times from my original review and what can I say for a small pizza place this place is really good. Golden Pizza used to be my go-to when I can't figure out what to get or where to order from but this place is now my go-to. Their cheeseburger sub was plentiful. Love the jojo potatoes. The two combined is sooo much food. Last night I got the chicken & broccoli penne without the broccoli. The mistakenly forgot the chicken which I called them and they were very apologetic about it and offered a new pasta dish, some chicken or credit towards my next order. I was really set on the pasta with chicken so they understood and brought me a bunch of chicken in like 5 minutes. This is my second time giving this place a chance. Stop being cheap with the cheese.....not cool. Last time giving them a try. I even gave my name on the order and they totally didn't write it down. It's sad that I have to get home and add more cheese on top of my pizza. Thank god for the invention of air fryers. Oh and I say second time because they messed up my first ever order for a large pizza with eggplant on top. They put cut up pieces of zucchini sticks on my pizza. Smfh.. We tried this place after seeing it on Instagram. For a local neighborhood pizza joint it's 5 stars. Everything is always fresh. Salads, pizza, chicken all good quality. I personally like their small pizzas better than the large but I feel that way about most pizza joints. One of the best qualities about Burncoat are the people working there. They are friendly, helpful and seem to take pride in working there. Many pizza places in Massachusetts have owners and employees that are unbelievably rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. This place is the exact opposite. They are a local business that deserves support and business. read more

I have order from here dozens of times and every single time is the same experience. They tell me 20 minutes, I get there 20 min later and they are just starting my order. They also have quadrupled the prices and only get business because their food is pretty good. They need to quote people realistic times if they can not keep up with the flow. Placed order to be picked up four hours in advance for a party, only to be told that they refuse to deal with DoorDash, and that their info had been put on the ordering app without their permission. DoorDash confirm this was a lie, and that Burncoat had requested to be listed and submitted their info personally, just like everyone else. I'm guessing the restaurant didn't want to honor the coupon they had posted online. Can't speak to the quality of the food, but after being lied to my face, and being an hour late to a party with a roomful of hungry people, I'll never find out. read more

This is a popular neighborhood spot. Unfortunately they'll make your order wrong more often than they'll get it right. Pizza is less than average. Good luck getting a sub the way you ordered it, it's a crap shoot. Save your time and $$, there are plenty of neighborhood alternatives that understand how to take an order and make it correctly. Save yourself some frustration, the most popular is not always the best bet, and this place is a perfect example of that. read more

The driver brought the pizza but forgot the skins, although he came back 20 minutes later with them and apologized. The pizza itself was very mediocre as pizza goes in Worcester. It was fine; there was just nothing special about it. Not particularly hot either. In short, I wouldn't recommend Burncoat Pizza as there are much better options in that part of Worcester. read more

We ordered a turkey bacon,pastrami and French fries. First the French fries were cold and soggy the turkey bacon was good although missing the bacon and the pastrami was ok but dry. As they have been recommended by friends we'll try again. read more

This is our go-to pizza place. There are several pizza places in the area that are great, but what separates Burncoat is their amazing gluten free pizza. To set the record straight, I am not gluten free, but my boyfriend is. Whenever we order pizza, they always deliver it in the time quoted. I have never received an incorrect or bad order from them. I was a little hesitant to try gluten free, as I had tried it at Papa Gino's and thought it was horrible. Not the case with these guys. They make an awesome pizza, with or without gluten. We have ordered from here more times then I could count, but they are always super friendly and accommodating. They have a cheeseburger GF pizza that we order and have them throw jalapenos on it, and it is AMAZING. We have ordered all of their GF options and have never been disappointed. The delivery guy is also super friendly as well. I believe they may also be slightly cheaper then the other GF options close by. The pizza certainly tastes better. We have been ordering from this place since we moved to Worcester almost 10 years ago. Mostly because it's close to our home. The pizza is okay, the sandwiches are okay. What's not okay is screwing up my order again (which happens, I don't expect perfection), and then asking me when I called to get the correct order if I "specified" that I wanted my 3 Italian subs cold, not toasted. (I did specify). Saying that I did not, because the person who took my order said that I didn't, is not okay. (I had 3 witnesses). "That's how we make them," is not okay. Being told that they are not Burger King is not okay. And then being asked if anyone had touched the subs that I returned? I said that I didn't know, but what difference does it make? Are you planning to sell them to someone else? She said "No, but that would be an additional charge." REALLY? THEY THINK THAT I WILL GIVE THEM MORE OF MY MONEY?! I said that I would like to see her try to get more money out of me. Needless to say, no one in my family will be spending any more money at this place. We called in a takeout order at Burncoat Pizza last night and it was ready very fast! We ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch calzone and a Caesar salad. The calzone was tasty and we enjoyed the crust that they had! The Caesar salad came with dressing on the side, which is ok, but would have preferred to have it mixed in. The buffalo chicken sub was excellent so I followed it up on my second visit with a buffalo chicken pizza. I held my breath to see what sort of crust they do and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it is not the crunchy Greek style which sometimes dominates MA parlors. It was very close to homemade, but better, and reminded me of bakery style crusts one finds on Sicilian style pies in the Metro Boston area. read more

Had a TERRIBLE experience with them last week! About 2 weeks ago, my younger brother came over and ordered delivery from Burncoat Pizza to my house right over the Worcester line in West Boylston with no issues. Last Sunday, after coming home from a long and exhausting day, I called BP at around 8:30(they close at 9) and ordered a pizza and some buffalo wings. I enjoyed the pizza from there a few weeks earlier, though it wasn't anything special. I explained to the woman on the phone that the development I live in was new and not always on GPS systems, and went through the process of confirming THREE TIMES that the address was in West Boylston, not Worcester, and gave her detailed directions for the driver. She told me it would be about 20 minutes. A full forty-five minutes later, the delivery driver called and said he was outside... but was nowhere to be found. I called him back and discovered that he was all the way on the other side of Worcester-- at the address I told them several times was NOT mine. I explained the error to the driver, and he said he would call me back, At 9:30-- half an hour after they closed, and a full hour after I had ordered-- the driver called me back a final time and said that my house was "too far away" and they would not deliver. My house is literally five minutes from Burncoat Pizza-- FAR closer than wherever near Cambridge street the driver ended up. They didn't even apologize! So after an hour, four conversations with two people, and explicit directions that were ignored, I ended up even hungrier and pissed about the service. I have been living in this neighborhood for years and just tried this place for the first time based on several recommendations and it did not disappoint. I had the veggie "diet" pita pizza and it was absolutely delicious. I love pizza but don't love the calories and carbs and this was the perfect solution.
