Mike, the co-owner, was wonderful from day 1 during our run- through their warehouse and services, until everything was packed up the night after our reception. Our package included a full tent with lighting, plus set up/take down service, dance floor, tables with tablecloths and chairs, bar tables, cocktail tables, pipe and drape, dishes, silverware, steak knives, and glasses for wine, champagne, and soft drinks, and ice bins for beers and soda. The set up was quick, but they also took the time to let us both come out to specify any requests we had as far as placements of each item. Take down was even quicker. Mike and his entire team were so personable, helpful, and efficient. We really could not have had a better experience.

We met a few days before the wedding to finalize the list of music and of course I was overprepared with 5 pages of music haha. But it was so comforting to know that he was familiar with a majority of the music. We were very worried that we wouldnt be able to find a DJ that could properly mix American, Carribbean and Spanish music. They did that and more. My wedding has been over 2 months ago and I still get calls about the DJ. They truly made the wedding and set the tone. The floor was literally jumping towards the end of the night!!! We met with them on a recommendation from my cousin.They did a great job at for him, and at the party I saw them DJ late last year. We met with the owner, Jose, and were impressed enough to book without seeing any other DJs. He innately has the elegance for which his company strives. He's a well organized, intelligent professional. We were sold on him, and his self-made photo booth. Things went a bit wonky months later when we later met the Emcee/DJ he assigned to us. You see, we had asked if he would be our Emcee, or emcee and DJ both. He said he could emcee, but there would be someone else DJing. We never confirmed with him that he was emceeing, and who we got was one of his contractors. After meeting this contractor, we saw he wasn't a great fit, but I knew I could pull together and supply enough music and provide all the cues he'd need. So we rolled with it. Our mistake. Another issue was that we thought we were hiring a 2-man team, but were told they need an extra hand, a lighting assistant. That's an extra vendor meal and extra tip, and we found out a month before the wedding. On the wedding day he missed the bride's entrance cue. I had listed out (and supplied) four different pieces of music, one each for the parents, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids and the bride. He didn't switch to the bridesmaid music when they walked out, so he thought their music was the bride's music. She wouldn't come out until our Maitre 'D rushed over to tell him to switch the music. As to the reception, things went well until the dancing started. He started our first (choreographed) dance without a cue - we rushed to be in position to start. The music during the reception was tepid - the consensus amongst the guests was that his set skewed older. He didn't read the crowd very well, and didn't really get what I was trying to convey during our meeting. There were a couple of other small matters, but the gist is that this guy didn't listen well - he suggested and defaulted to the things he had done before. He wasn't a good match for us, whereas we feel Jose would have been. Bottom line is this: We might recommend Elegancia in the future, but with these caveats. 1. Try to get Jose to emcee, or truly vet his contractors for fit. 2. Be sure to voice your concerns as soon as you have them. 3. Be very specific about your needs and wants. Maybe even micro-manage the music flow.

In covering all the aspects of the party I thought about the possibility of weather issues. So I decided a tent would be the solution. I called around for a couple of quotes but after speaking to Justin from Magnif-A-Tent I knew I was heading in the right direction. When the guest list was completed we had 125 guests coming. Not being exactly sure of what size tent we would need, Justin came to my house to measure out the yard to find the best location and to see how big a tent we would need. He laid out a plan for a 30 x 60 tent with an adjoining 20 x 20 tent for a dance floor, and for good measure a 10 x 10 tent for the DJ. Justin and his crew showed up Friday morning and spent 7 hrs setting up these tents along with tables, linens and chairs. Saturday morning it was raining and Justin and another fellow showed up early in the morning to double check that everything was perfect and we would have no problems. The party began and the weather cooperated as best it could. Party was fabulous and went off without a hitch because of Magnif-A-Tent. Do I recommend them. Well if you have to ask then you haven't read this review. If I every need a tent there's only one number I'll call.
