I decided to check it out and saw that it already had some good reviews. I've been looking for a barber for a while because the barber that I currently use (while I still love getting my hair cut by him) is nearly an hour away and I just need to find someone more local. I booked an appointment online (https://www.vagaro.com/thetruebarber) and my appointment was confirmed for Saturday morning with Alex. I got there a little early and since I had the first appointment for the day, the shop wasn't opened yet. I didn't wait long and Alex showed up, opened the shop, and began getting set up for the day. Alex is incredibly friendly and I really enjoyed chatting with him. He took the time to ask me what I needed and what he needed to do with my beard. He didn't try to push any particular style on me (which I loved) and he explained everything that he was doing along the way. He gave me an excellent haircut as well as an awesome beard trim. I opted to have the straight razor shave around my neck and beard line and Alex was so gentle with the razor that I didn't have any razor burn afterward. He also put some nice smelling gel in my hair, some really great oil in my beard, and some refreshing aftershave on the areas he used the straight razor. One thing that I like about The True Barber is that they are a barber shop that not only knows how to use the clippers, but they also know how to use the scissors to actually cut hair. I've run into some barbers that were amazing with clippers, but couldn't cut hair to save their lives. I need a little of both and that's hard to find. I think The True Barber provides the skill in both disciplines that make them unique for the area. The shop itself is very clean and very professional looking. They have free coffee near the front of the shop and you can buy sodas and/or water for $1. I had a great experience there and I'll be back in the future for my haircuts. Edit (11/10/18): Update, I've continued to come to this shop and recently had a really great experience with one of the new barbers, Larry. Larry was fantastic and did a great job with my hair and beard. He took his time and made sure that I was completely satisfied with everything that he was doing. Go see Alex or Larry!
