My main goal was to get my mustache slightly trimmed and most importantly curled on the ends because I was going to be Santa for an afternoon for the kids at my church. I asked before I went there if they had a mustache specialist and was told they did. Okay, I don't know if the guy they gave me to trim it was a mustache specialist or not, but I don't think so because he didn't have any mustache wax to try to make the curls hold. No matter, the guy trimmed off WAY more than I expected or wanted. I'm not sure why he didn't listen to me but it's too late once it's gone. Jose has been cutting my son's hair for the past several years and we've been extremely satisfied every single time! Jose always listens and does exactly what we ask for. He's been so patient with my boy, since he was 7 y/o, and even though my son was constantly moving and interrupting during the cut, Jose would not wrap it up before he ensured it was nothing less than perfect! Been looking to get my beard shaped and cleaned-up but still keep its 3-month length because I'm still growing my beard out. So I wasn't really sure how to visualize or explain this to Jose who was my barber. But Jose was welcoming, friendly, and very personable. On top of that, he had great ideas for what I was trying to envision. He also wasn't too pushy on what I did or didn't want. He then did an excellent job on my beard trimming / shaping. He was meticulous, and attentive to details and taking time to make it look like what we discussed. He honed in on the details and even gave me a straight razor shave. At the end I was extremely satisfied with Jose's work. The shop had a good and friendly vibe too. And Jose was great to listen and talk to. I saw the great reviews and was excited to come and finally get my first real beard trim. I had spent two months growing out my hair and figured I would get a nice little trim as well for my haircut. Jonathan was friendly and we had a good conversation. Unfortunately, he was on the phone a bunch and completely forgot that I asked him to give me just a trim for my haircut. The beard looks great, but he butchered my hair and took off 2 inches of growth that I had been trying to get for the past two months. I have no idea why he just completely started cutting without confirming what I wanted. If you go, just make sure you tell the barber exactly what you want and reiterate it throughout your entire cut. I'm now the idiot who screws myself over by not treating barbers like 5-year olds and reminding them how to do what I asked. FML. read more

Why 5 stars? Because these guys are like hair scientists. --- --- --- I enjoy my normal barber, but I have been to Executive Barber Studio three times now. I like to come here when my beard is a bit longer because I think they do a really great job with the trim and blend with that. On my two previous visits, I saw Jose, but today I was with Jonathan. I thought he did a really great job on both the haircut and the beard trim. Both he and Jose really take the time to make sure every single blade of hair is perfectly cut. I definitely leave here feeling like I just received a VIP haircut that should cost a lot more than it does. The tradeoff from my normal barber is that he also does a solid job and the whole process takes maybe 10 minutes. But the quality here at Executive is hard to top. The only issue is that it takes more like half an hour, so if I'm ever in more of a hurry, I'll have to keep that in mind. But both of these are awesome and definitely know what they're doing! Plus they just moved into the shop at the very end of the plaza, so it's a lot easier to spot from the street now. I'm hoping that leads to more business for them! read more

I made a 9:30 appointment to come in with my 74 year old father for his first style change in 40+ years, as a birthday/father's day present. His hair is longer than its ever been, and he (proudly) has a beard for the first time in his life due to the quarantine. Today's goal was to spoil him with a snappy cut and five star beard cleanup so that he can incorporate it into his new style. I made the appointment fairly early because both my Father and I have work that starts later in the morning. I even told the man on the phone "tomorrow morning or the next morning would be fine, we just need an early appointment." He squeezed us in for the next day anyway. We got to the shop on time for our 9:30 appointment to find the barber I had booked an appointment with had a client in his chair, and the only other barber in the shop didn't take us because A. he was waiting on an appointment of his own, and B. He knew we had an appointment with the other guy. Both fair reasons- nothing against him. The barber we had booked an apppintment with said "Just a few minutes." Also fair. I'm aware that walk-ins happen. My Father and I sat down and waited patiently for what we thought would be maybe 10 minutes, maybe 20 if we were unlucky. Well, we were unlucky. Even after a full 30 minutes (no exaggeration) of watching while our barber perfected his current cut, we continued to wait. We even watched eagerly for 5 more minutes while he grabbed his clippers and trimmed the man's beard. Only when we noticed our barber adding a backrest onto the chair and grabbing his straight razor, did we realize we had been fooled when we were told "just a few minutes." At 10:05 my Father and I left. That is 35 minutes after our appointment was scheduled. If we had stayed, it would have been (at the absolute least) another 15 minutes for the barber to finish his shave, cash out his client, and clean/sanitize his station. But judging by the barber's speed, 15 minutes to perform all of those tasks seems overly generous. At the very least, my Father would have had his barbershop experience started a full 50 minutes after his scheduled appointment. If we were lucky. Personally, this was a zero-star experience for us. Now I get to wake up early again tomorrow and take him to another shop that understands the basics of time constraints and honesty. If our barber had simply told us up-front how long it would really be, we would have simply rescheduled, as I actually put in quite some effort to find this cute little joint to begin with. However, I'm giving this shop 2 stars because the aesthetic is on point, and because I can appreciate the obvious time and attention to detail both barbers put into their clients. Its just unfortunate that our barber didn't consider my Father's appointment to be important. Note* unfortunately I don't know our barber's name because we never actually had an opportunity to meet the guy. Here's a photo for autheticity. This barber shop is one of the cleanest I have ever been to. The atmosphere is awesome and all 3 barbers are very talented. Black, Latino, White, Asian. It doesn't matter, they can do it all. I witnessed it. Josè cut my hair, took his time, asked questions, lined my entire hairline/ beard up and hit my neck and shoulders with this insane massage gun! I've gotta compliment the other 2 barbers as well. Both of the guys in their chairs left lookin clean AF. GO HERE, be very specific they listen. I have updated my previous review by increasing the rating by two stars. Since my last review, I have returned twice more and each time, I have had a good experience with Jose, the owner on Chair #1. Jose knows his business - cuts hair, trims beards, or shaves beards. He has the right equipment. He can make good conversation or keep quiet. He knows how to read people. I like the fact that his barbershop takes walk-ins, because I like the flexibility of getting a haircut or trim or shave on my convenience and not on an appointment that I have to plan my errands around. Jose seems to have adjusted his prices downward because my last two visits have been about $30 plus tip compared to my first visit ($40 plus tip). So, as an older person I am grateful for that. read more

Wow, Jose, the business owner?! If I say that my experience "could have been better", after having to wait 20 minutes for my appointment, you give a, lol, snippy response? I've broken my toe before, and it does hurt, but Chris is standing there cutting hair, so I fail to see how that impacted running late or my OK haircut. I am glad you take your business seriously, but sometime we miss the mark with some customers. And at those times, we can take the input and try to improve, or we can blame the customer. You choose which is the right path for your business. ---------------- I'm looking for a new barber and saw the ratings, so I scheduled an appointment with Chris to cut my hair this week. Although I had an appointment, I still had to wait 20 minutes for Chris to finish his previous customer. I was just getting ready to leave without a haircut when Chris finished, so I had to decide if I needed a haircut even though staying would impact my work schedule.
