After an hour and a half in the chair, there were still visible patches of hair on both my head and face, which completely defeats the purpose of a skin shave. He offered to "fix it," but I had already been there far longer than expected and couldn't stay any longer. I called the shop afterward to explain my frustration, and to the owner's credit, he offered to make it right. I went back at 7:15 p.m., and he took care of it properly, and I left satisfied. As a gesture of appreciation for him taking the time to fix it, I even bought him a nice cigar. While I was there, I scheduled another appointment with him for today at 11 a.m.; he put it on his calendar, and I built my day around that time. When I showed up today for that 11 a.m. appointment, I was told the owner had left for the weekend with his lady--no call, no text, no notice, nothing. Just a completely wasted trip and a chunk of my day gone for no reason. I was hesitant to write a review after the first bad experience because mistakes happen, and I appreciated that he fixed it the first time. However, the lack of communication and follow-through on a confirmed appointment is unacceptable. This is a complete breakdown in professionalism and respect for a client's time.
