First off, they do not offer paid studies which is a bit disappointing if you're like me & live over 45 minutes away. However, if you're looking to keep your struggles private; you can easily do so at this center as it is located within a larger building housing many other businesses. At first appearances, it looks like a spa. The staff here is friendly and scheduling/cancelling an appointment is easy & convenient (you can make arrangements through text). Yet when I went into the room for my physical exam, it was dirty. There was trash on the floor, stains on the walls and the lighting was very dim. The hallways are littered with a variety of machines and makes navigating through the facility annoying because of the clutter. But I will say that they are conducting multiple studies and very clearly explain what they are & what they hope to achieve & how you can help yourself & contribute to advances in mental health as well. If you decide to participate in a study there is no pressure to do so. You can even change your mind later on & leave the study group. Due to my inability to swallow pills, I could not participate in the original study I had signed up for. But the staff really do go above & beyond, they found another program I could take advantage of. I will post an update as time goes on so that I can provide you with a better idea of what happens in clinical studies if you're new to trying this.

I was ten minutes early so I waited. At three o'clock, the actual appointment time, still no-one was there so I called the office/cell number and left a message. No answer. I waited in parking lot, called back in 15 minutes and left a message again. Still no show, no answer. I waited until my entire hour appointment was up. I called the number again and left another message. This time I was pretty disgusted by the fact that this is a mental health counselor and I assumed they would take that into consideration before a no show/no call on their part. This was almost two months ago and to this day I have never heard a word from Tammy or anyone at the office. If she couldn't handle my issues/personality or whatever she should have just stated so. We have been taking my son with autism to Innovative for over 5 years, we love the counselors, we…read morehave never had any real issues, just the opposite. However, this past year has been a nightmare. They requested we switch my sons appointments from Mondays to Tuesdays. My son is dependent on his routines, we agreed to keep his feeding and speech on the same day. We started missing appointments here and there. We were told that we have to show for so many appointments in a row because our insurance. I did check on that, it's not true. It's them. The problem was my sons school planned trips and events on Tuesdays. This is when they took us off the schedule and put us on a "flex schedule." This didn't work for many reasons, my work schedule, my sons routine was different every week, it wasn't working out so we hadn't been in for a while. I got a text, a text message, about a balance, which I got at work and forgot about. I did not receive a formal invoice. Not to mention, we have Never had any financial issues with Innovative. We settled all our debts in a timely manner the entire time. They decided to take the entire $230.00 out of our account, without permission or warning. I called, an entire day and Katie was "too busy with the new system" or something to be bothered with this. She did call me back, left a voicemail. I returned the call just minutes after I missed it and "katies busy". This was last week. Its now Wednesday into the next week and we have to understand. We have been in contact with our bank. It's very clear the care they once out into these kids have been lost. We would have had no issue setting up a payment plan, which we have always done, but we received no warning. Just a little text that flew under the radar. I did post this review on their Facebook and wouldn't ya know, it doesn't show up. So here I am to help others. Innovative is Not what they used to be and its sad.
