I love this donut shop. I have been coming since my childhood, for it for over 10 years now. This isn't my exclusive donut shop as sometimes I go to Mr. T's, but I think this place has better tasting donuts. It has a more homey feel than Mr. T's and much better customer service. The best part about this place? They are open 24 hours a day. Yes, I said that 24 HOURS. I've gone many times for a late night craving over the years and I've always gotten delicious, fresh out of the oven donuts. What can I say a Donut shop that is open 24/7 is pretty amazing. On days I am craving for a donut and be able to drive to this shop anytime of day and get some. Certain times they are making certain donuts so you have to get there at the right time. We usually get a dozen donuts with a dozen donut holes. The last time we were there we wanted to get some Maple donuts but they had run out and was going to make a new batch, but we didnt have time to wait for it so instead we ended up with other flavors. The son I believe was the one helping us and since they didnt have maple he ended up giving us a whole lot of extra donut holes it was a bit too much but hey we cant say no if they are giving it to you. This is a family donut shop and from my experiences I've alway loved these kind of shops rather going to like a Dunkin Donuts. I mean their donuts are good, but the prices are pretty pricey. Thats why I rather go to the family own shops. And they also taste a lot better. Only time I would end up at Dunkin Donuts is when Im getting a bagels. read more

Was in search of a new donut place other than mr.Ts on yelp and seen WE's had a lot of good reviews. So we decided to try them out. The donut place itself was busy full with people enjoying coffee and donuts , nice environment. I got the dozen which was like 9.35$ something around there. PROS: The donuts tasted good , the chocolate and maple ones are glazed than dipped in chocolate which makes them really sweet. Not my favorite but the sprinkles and some of the other ones were really soft and delicious! A lot of variety and they offer drinks such as chocolate milk and coffee. Cons: they don't give you the option to pay a few extra dollars to get the donut bars so for the dozen you have to only stick to the circle type of donuts. Also they don't have a card machine so you have to take it out the ATM which I don't enjoy doing luckily I had cash. read more

I have frequented this place since the 70's. The display case was full of delicious looking treats. However, when I asked for an unglazed donut, the man looked around and said they didn't have any. My husband stops in for his favorite occasionally, an unglazed jelly filled donut. Oh well, so I get the glazed version and a cinnamon roll. They used to only take cash, they now take cards but beware. He asked me debit or credit, I said credit, he says we don't take credit. Okay, then why did he ask me? Oh, it gets better. He tells me the price of my purchase, I enter my pin and I'm on my way. When I arrive home, the receipt says $6.00. Surprise! For the privilege of using my card, I'm charged $2.00. Seriously, on a purchase of $4.00. NO mention was made that they charge any fee for using a card, not a word. Additionally, when we tasted the "cinnamon" roll there was no cinnamon. Let me start by saying that I was NOT expecting to like this place as much as I did. Stopped by around 3pm on a Friday and was worried they wouldn't have fresh donuts since the comments say they cook very early in the morning. Got a regular French, maple frosted French, chocolate with chocolate frosting and sprinkles and the chocolate covered with custard filling. Everything was so good! So fresh and soft! Beware of cockroaches!! Read explanation below. I have been buying from this shop for a few years now and is the only shop that rivals Mr. T's. I have always been satisfied with the donuts and i stop here more often than Mr. T's because it is closer to my home. On Saturday, 6/20/15, i went to buy a dozen after work around 11:45 pm. The selection looked great and they were fully stocked with fresh donuts. I purchased my dozen and went home. After a quick shower I went to get a donut. As I open the box, a baby COCKROACH jumped out of it! I killed the COCKROACH and called the shop to let them know. I spoke to a man there and after I told him, he stated he didn't know what I was saying. I repeated myself and clearly stated I had a COCKROACH in my donuts. The man then hung up on me! Tired after working, I got back in the car and took my donuts back with the dead COCKROACH in a paper towel inside the box. I entered and explained to the man up front that I had a COCKROACH in my donuts and wanted a refund. The man then called for another man named Saul (I assume he was in charge). I showed them the COCKROACH inside the paper towel and told them how it jumped out of the box. The man named Saul then blamed me saying they have no bugs and stated I probably left my donuts outside! I was shocked that he quickly blamed me, so I calmly explained that I went straight home, put them on my counter, and returned to them within 15 min. The man then yelled that it was my fault. I kept my composure and just requested a refund, and I also told them that should they make a huge deal out of it, I would report them. The man, Saul, turned and left and the other man finally gave me my refund. I will never shop here again. Horrible experience and they don't take responsibility for the cockroaches at their establishment. I will now forever take my business over to Mr. T's because they have proven to be a cleaner shop with better donuts, selection, and service. read more

I can be in Manteca, Tracy, just around the corner and this is my go to place (with a DD, of course) Nothing tastes better than a fresh doughnut! We Donuts is the best donut shop in Modesto and just about anywhere else that I have ever tried donuts at. For a test, my husband and I bought some donuts at Mr. T's in Modesto and bought some at We Donuts. We compared the glaze and the blueberry. We Donuts was way better by far. I personally really like the glaze buttermilk donut. I never had one before going to We Donuts and have been obsessed with that one since. They are always cooking fresh donuts every time we go there. I used to love this place but have gotten too many (on more than 6 different occasions) cream filled donuts where the cream is spoiled & sour in the center to trust them anymore. Great little donut shop with something for everyone. I'm a fan of their glazed twists. I've had donuts from here on several occasions and they've always tasted fresh, usually before 9 AM in my experience, but that's the only time I've had donuts from here. You can't expect fresh every minute of the day. Like another reviewer said, their ATM thing is pretty sucky. They don't accept personal checks nor debit/credit cards. So you have to get a receipt through this machine and they give you cash back with your order. However, you're still charged $2 for the transaction and whatever your bank will probably charge you. The guy serving the donuts was fast and friendly. I can see why people love this place. read more
