Originally I called a different moving company, (separate review of that awful company in a different post) and was given the contact information for Action Movers from Curtis @ All Access Storage in Nampa. Immediately when I spoke with Emma at Action Movers, I knew this was going to be a great fit for my move. And it was! Everything went according to plan. They were affordable and flexible and I appreciated that so much. I called them and was given two options of possible move dates, and one of them just happened to be on a Sunday and the date was coming up quick. Originally I was worried about having others work on a Sunday, but they were great about it and showed up on time ready to rock and roll. I thought I was going to have to do a lot of the physical lifting, but boy, was I wrong! Chris, Ethan, Nick and Julian were absolutely fantastic! They came in and it was all hands on deck! Super hard workers, organized, friendly, knew what they were doing, (cuz I was clueless as I've never moved an entire house before!) and overall so great to work with. Dare I say moving day was actually FUN for my son and I! They showed up, loaded everything into the truck, and were very respectful of my items. They brought blankets and tape to protect my furniture and corners. They even helped pack up some of my things. After traveling across town to my new home, the crew from Action Movers unloaded everything, including the big furniture, set up the beds, installed the washer and dryer, (!) and Chris was even kind enough to help me figure out how to use my sprinklers and showed me where the fuses were for utilities too. I'm telling you- these guys were top notch! My son and I were commenting how quickly everything went, and jokingly Chris said we had an eight hour fire, and he wasn't wrong! LOL All in all, the day went super smoothly and way better than I expected considering how awful the first company was that I had spoken to. I so appreciate everyone from Action Movers, and I've told everyone in my circle whether they need to move or not, that this is the company they need to go with if and when they ever do need to hire someone. Can't sing their praises enough! He obviously had no intention of completing a moving job, but showed up to put on a show of a business owner taking responsibility. He said someone on his moving team had a family emergency. But the verbiage used the day of the move, leads me to believe there was no emergency, but instead he doesn't know how to run a business and wasn't prepared. When being questioned on the issues at hand, he was very condescending and rude. If you hire him, good luck actually getting him to do the job. To be sure, hire a backup moving company to actually do the job.

We hired Reliance Moving to help us move the end of April 2019. They must have overbooked that day,…read morebut chose to do our move anyways. We requested 3 guys and they sent 2, neither of which knew what they were doing. They were slow, one of the guys took at least 5 breaks that totaled over an hour. The guy who took all of the breaks complained multiple times that things were "too heavy". The truck was only about 2/3 full when they told me it was a full load. Instead of using dolly's to move stacks of boxes into the truck they carried one at a time regardless of its size or weight. We have moved 7 times in the past ten years and have hired moving companies every time. In our previous move we moved from Boise to Meridian and hired a company that sent 2 guys who moved all our things in one load in under 3 hours. It took the guys from Reliance Moving 2 loads and almost 7 hours to move the fewer items to our new house that was less than a mile away from the old one. They also damaged our wood floors by dragging a piano across them instead of using dolly's. When my wife pointed our the damage the guy blamed her and said she should have "put plastic over the floor". I called and messaged the company about the damage and never received a response. At the end of the move they tried to charge me more than was agreed upon and couldn't provide me with and invoice. It was clear that these guys were not Reliance Moving's "A-team" and I'm guessing they weren't even employees, but guys they hired for the day to help out because they were overbooked. If you're going to portray yourself as a professional moving company you need to employ professional movers and deliver the service that you advertise on your website.

A few of the many things I appreciated...They were polite, and very professional. If they didn't know where something went, they asked. I know it sounds simple but a lot of movers don't do that. They did not mess around either. They were working at full speed all day. They were also extra careful with wrapping my baby's things so they would stay clean. I had my infant son and my dad was helping me with unpacking and organizing and they frequently asked if either of us needed help. My dad, who had never used movers and thought it was ridiculous that I was hiring people for something we could do ourselves, said "wow!! That was totally worth it!" I will use them for my next move without hesitation and whole-heartedly recommend their services.
