One of them even talked about opening my upstairs window and throwing everything that's not breakable out of the window. They took apart furniture that did not need to be taken apart and left it taken apart. They also broke one of our TV's. all around a awful experience that cost so much money and now we have to replace a TV on top of it.

They wanted half of the quote money up front, did not even have half of our belongings listed and the CU (cubic units) was short, about 1,000 cu. Plus, other issues we will not mention. We felt they lacked proper communication and dealings were not professional from our standpoint. My husband contacted "VALLEY CUSTOM MOVERS" from Nampa, ID and we cannot say enough great things about them. Corey is one of the owners. came to our home and physically walked through and listed everything with us. He listened, answered all our questions and always personally returned all our calls after were gave him the job. Yes, their quote was right on, matched everything we wanted moved and the quote was a very great price for what we needed. His crew did complete packing, loading and storing all belongings in their warehouse until we have a new home out of state. On our job we had 1 owner & 5 crew members and each one of them were very efficient in what they were doing. They each knew what needed to be done. The packing of our home (1,900+ sq ft) home was completed in about 5 hours. The next day it only took them about 2 hours + to load 2 trucks and take our belongings to their warehouse. My husband was thrilled with their professionalism, quality of work and how they each asked questions. To be sure that what was being moved would go into the trucks and items that needed to be left. They are like a one shop move with the same crew packing, loading, storing and delivering our belongings to our new home and setting up all our furniture. They all get an A+ rating from us from Tara in the office to Corey and the other owners and all their crew.

They arrived 15 minutes early and I have to say Garrett and Ben were top notch champs that everything taken care of safely in less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately one month later I needed to move again from one apartment to another just one driveway away and decided to use College Hunks again. Since the move was so terrible with no response after telling the assistant manager, over the phone I would be emailing in my 'serious complaint' and emailing them twice, with no response I have reported them to the BBB and will mail my complaint to their headquarters, it was so bad. I am also inquiring taking legal action to pursue replacing broken items and a price reduction from being overcharged. Daniel was the team lead of two others and was incredibly unprofessional, unorganized, and so slow it led to me being overcharged significantly. It was even noticed by neighbors. Serious damage was done due to the mishandling of my clearly marked boxes. A Pottery Barn dresser drawer was so damaged it will not close. Daniel has received great reviews otherwise and the sense I get is just depends on the team put together, who the customer is, and maybe the mood these young men are in, I don't know but I didn't deserve the service provided. A box clearly labeled "Glass" "Fragile" "NOTHING ON TOP" had 3 boxes placed on top of it and the top one labeled "Heavy" "Glass" and was one of my heaviest boxes, hence, the bottom box containing my antique glass dome for a statue, and inheritance that is my most important belonging, was severely damaged throughout the entire glass structure. It was such a stressful move watching them slow pace themselves and move about in an unprofessional and disorganized way and to now live with these damages only adds more stress to my life. I can't say "I don't recommend College Hunks" it's obviously hit or miss, but I would advise be watchful, stern, and authoritative if they are underperforming. They responded to my google review with a "please call us to resolve.." called and left a message. I only get their voicemail. I've reported them to BBB and will be contacting a lawyer. For them to disregard such a complaint is awful.

We hired Cross Town Movers after talking with a few other companies in the valley. I spoke with…read morethe manager who was able to give me a quote over the phone and schedule me for the day I needed without issue. I had to reschedule once and there was no issue. I can tell you his pricing was better than everyone else's and he was much more accurate at estimating time needed then any other company I spoke with. I met with the team of movers at our storage unit and they were there and ready to work before I got there. I showed them the three storage units we had and was told it wouldn't take long. They even turned in my keys with the storage unit so I wouldn't have to stay while they loaded everything. It took them an hour and a half to load everything, which was absolutely incredible. They met me at the new house, did a quick walk through and started to unload. They even helped us to unload the POD we had in the driveway. These guys were awesome! Professional, helpful, and willing to do whatever needed to ensure our experience with Cross Town was top notch. The overall move took only 4 hours, which was less than was bid. Then I requested another move within a year from same upstairs room to a 2bd apt. The first team was late. About midway into loading the truck, I was told there was a problem with the first team not competently loading their truck fast enough, then causing a SECOND team to show up at the destination. This was going to be betterand faster and should cost about the same as last time. NO. The first team failed me. (One of the team members kept going into the moving truck and taking vape hits. Now, I didn't think too much of that at the time. Thought it might help him enjoy his job better?) ugh. Then I overhear a comment saying "There's so much little stuff." Really? since when do movers bitch...lol So the second team was in and out and done by dark. There was some time where the apt peeps messed up and had to wait, but.
