Even though they are a local Pennsylvania company, they range much farther. In fact, when I move from Virginia to a little farther south next year, I will definitely call James at We Haul. I appreciate the offer for a tech to come out. Unfortunately no one ever told me about this option and staff knew of the damage and never offered that. At this point we've made our own repairs to what could be fixed. My recommendation would be to have your staff mention that when that offer exists. They know of damage so should actively offer for things to be fixed. read more

We Haul did a good job on a difficult move involving a lot of miles, a lot of weight and a lot of potential bad weather during the tornadoes that broke out mid-country in late May. What I liked about We Haul, I knew what I was getting? No surprises with additional cost. I must say, I gotta kudos to Cody and his team that moved us. It was hot, and humid but they kept on task, and moved us within the time frame James said it would take. The guys were very professional, and if something with a no box didn't seem right, they let us know. Throughout the move, Cody kept checking in with me, letting me know how we were doing on time, or if we needed them to take anything in the truck instead of piling the small stuff in the car. I found We Haul Moving on Yelp and used them for a local move. James quickly responded to my inquiry and provided a quote right after touring the house. He was very efficient in returning messages and answering questions throughout the process. The place I was moving into became available two weeks sooner than expected and James was very flexible and changed the move in date and adjusted the quote since it wouldn't be necessary to store my belongings. On the day of the move, Steve, Mike and Jamie arrived right on time and they too were very efficient. The service was great! They finished early and I cannot thank them enough. This company is not a professional mover. When I called to set up service, I described in detail the size and style of furniture I needed moved to a historic home. I explained that the furniture I needed to be moved was heavy and would be difficult to move up narrow stairs. The movers were not prepared. They did not properly wrap our furniture. They damaged several pieces of furniture. They damaged our porch railing, taking a chunk of wood out of our historic home. They dented our ceiling in our stairwell. They also scraped paint and chunks out of our freshly painted walls. They lost the screws for our mirror and left without finishing the installation of our dresser and just said "oh well". They also inappropriately installed another mirror to an irreplaceable vintage vanity that was 200 years old. If you are looking for a company to move cheap, light, dorm room style furniture that you don't care about WeHaul might be a good option. But, I would not trust this company to move any furniture you care about. They damaged our walls, couldn't finish the job, damaged our furniture and destroyed the porch of our home. read more

I will admit, I was and am frustrated by the lack of communication for the first three weeks after I initially contacted you all about the missing item, prompting this review in the first place. Regarding the inventory - It is unfortunately a system set up to fail on the customer's standpoint. When you have two workers repeatedly indicating how strapped they are for time, with another delivery and road trip the same day, the last thing you want to do is make them wait while you count all the various items - boxes of all different sizes, loose items (golf clubs, tables, toddler cars, tool kits, vacuum cleaners, garden hoses, etc.). It certainly would not have been quick. We rushed it as a courtesy to the movers. Obviously in retrospect, given the missing item, we would not have done so. Thank you again for ultimately following up and handling the situation appropriately. I will be happy to recommend your company in the future. read more

After having my usual movers bail on me days before my move from GA to NY, I found these guys through a broker. I was very nervous considering the reviews on the company (colonial van lines) were very mixed, but I had no choice since I had to be out of my apartment in a few days. When Steve and Kevin showed up and got to work my nerves started to settle. They wrapped up my tv with an extra layer of cardboard over the screen because I told them I was worried about it. They put my mattress into the bag for me and took extra little things like my broom and swifter so I didn't have to worry about making room in my car. They arrived at my home in NY an hour after I did, so I didn't have time to move things around. I asked if they would mind moving a bed and frame into my guest room, and taking an old heavy tv off the wall for me. They did it with no problem and were so kind the whole time. I would use this company again in the future without a doubt. read more

I did my research. I expressed my concerns. I was assured I was in good hands using them. They weren't the cheapest quote I got, I thought I was making a good decision. This was my first time using a moving company and it was an epic fail. Not only did they move me they stored my items or 7 weeks. Not only were several items damaged the boxed looked like they were just thrown on the truck! I moved from NJ to VA and one of my mattresses didn't make and still has not arrived! It's been over a week and I still have no answer on when to expect that other than they located it! some of my items arrived with surface mildew/mold. I have photos of everything, filed a claim, but I have a feeling with the lack of contact this is going to be an issue. I'm thankful that my new job has our own employed lawyer to help me with this situation if I need it. Because I have a feeling it could get expensive if I didn't. I will of course not be letting this go until resolved no matter how far I need to take it! All I can say is I would never use them or recommend them again. If I could give no stars I would! Oh and don't let them tell you that you don't need the extra insurance but it anyway, they apparently like to lie! read more

I moved on September 2 from Bethlehem to Yardley PA. I was extremely impressed with Steve and his team. They worked hard until the job was done. They wrapped my furniture to protect it on the move. They successfully moved an old desk made completely of particle board. They were careful to not brush the items against any walls.They brought each box to the appropriate room. They even made sure everything was in the exact place I wanted it before they left. The pricing is also very competitive for the level of service provided. These guys were great. They moved my mother's one bedroom apartment, which was challenging for everyone. As it ended up being twice as much stuff as my mom had estimated, Chris, the team lead, let us know up front that it could be more than the 4 hour min (3 man crew). I appreciated the honesty, but they hulked it out, and moved some amazingly heavy stuff in a safe manner, in the time quoted. Boy did it ever! 3 young men arrived (on time) and moved me out of my old place and into the new within the estimated time. They were friendly, respectful and handled my furniture as if it was their own. Nothing was damaged, nothing was missing. My many boxes were placed exactly where I wanted them. Terrible company - DO NOT USE THESE CHEATING, STEALING, LYING movers. We Haul Moving Company is a terrible company. After receiving the initial deposit, the movers arrive 1 week after the scheduled date and they are hung over from the night before. They constantly increase the costs and falsify documents. If you refuse to pay their new arbitrary increased cost, then they will refuse to deliver your stuff and will not refund you. Our original contract stated it was $1800, then they arbitrarily raised it to $3000. They destroyed almost all of my items, would not refund, and claimed that all my items were destroyed BEFORE the move - why would I move a bunch of ripped up leather couches and totally broken desks and chairs? I booked my moving through colonial vans and we haul movers were assigned for my move. It was the most unpleasant and frustrating experience dealing with agent James. First of all my delivery was done after the scheduled window and second of all I had missing boxes which haven't been recovered so far. Its been more than 10 days and I don't have any update from the van lines or these guys on my boxes. When the driver called to inform James of my missing boxes, he kept saying you guys have to leave from there for your other deliveries, he didn't care to address for my missing boxes or have the common sense to acknowledge the fact that they did not do their job as they are suppose to. I made the driver stay back to do the count and documented them, they had informed me t odo their check if the boxes were dropped off at the previous delivery and I haven't heard from them since then. I informed the van lines about my experience dealing with such unprofessional movers, however its too late as they took their balance due and didn't care anymore, such horrible move and next time even if I have to pay more I would go with someone who is more reliable than go through this hassle. James who was unapologetic and didn't know how to deal with customers, instead of taking the responsibility for loosing my boxes, he simply said the boxes may be an over count!!! if its an over count again its your guys who didn't do their job well while doing the inventory list (FYI its not an over count as I have already identified the items missing). I was distraught at both the cost of "national" movers as well as what looked liked the unreliability of small local movers. I found a happy medium with WeHaul. Their estimator was very thorough and knew what to look for when calculating the size of the truck(s) we'd need. Our house was also situated on a very steep hill, and unlike the other movers, the estimator gave me confidence that it wouldn't be a problem. (It took some finagling, but they did it!) Our move ended up taking 2 days, and we only had 2 things break right at the very end. The owner, James, made good on the items immediately, though. My only real reasons for not giving the fifth star were there was quite a bit of cursing and grousing about heavy items among the crew--I don't particularly mind, but it might matter to someone with kids in earshot. Several boxes labeled FRAGILE were either laid on the side or were topped with something heavy; nothing was damaged, but it was stressful to see. Lastly, I had asked for wardrobe boxes, which they offer for free (definite perk), but they didn't come on the first day. I had really wanted to get one round of closets transferred the first day, along with the bedding (to put in the bottom of the boxes), but instead I had to shove the bedding in garbage bags on the first day and cram 4+ closets' worth of clothes into 6 skinny boxes the next day. Again, not earth shattering, but it added stress to an already stressful 2-day moving situation. All that being said, I would still definitely recommend WeHaul. Their price was great, they covered everything in pads before taping it (to help them carry it better), the guy in charge was super professional, they put together our beds, and we really could not have done this move without them. And the fact that they could fit us in when we needed them was a big plus. (Our moving date kept changing.) There were no hidden fees or extra labor charges or anything; totally transparent and they did exactly as promised. Skip the national guys and go local! read more

This company was contracted to move less than a studio apartments worth of items. The truck did not have enough space on it for two club chairs, an ottoman and 4 dining chairs. I was stuck and James was less than polite when I was trying to sort the mess out. He kept trying to blame me saying that I had added items to the inventory, which was patently false and finally spoke to me in such a disrespectful way that I hung up on him. I then made arrangements with his supervisor to do another pick up (even though I had told them that I would be out of the country and unavailable) and prevailed on a friend to be on site to help with this final pick up. Today, I contacted them to see when I could have my things delivered and was told that "maybe next week". Luckily, I don't need to have everything in place by a deadline, but they didn't know that. Do not hire this company for anything, even to move across the hall. Disorganized and deceitful. I wonder if I'll ever see my stuff again. read more

DO NOT use these 'movers'. They packed our entire house, stored our belongings and then (at their own slow pace) finally delivered our items across the country only to have broken Numerous items AND stolen items as well. We contacted the owner immediately upon noticing the missing items and notify him of the large number of broken items and he emailed a claim form for us to submit. After waiting the exact amount of time required for the claim to process the response from management was less than efficient. It took weeks to hear back from him and his response was that the insurance would not cover the stolen items because we signed the paperwork after the items were unloaded. He proceeded to state in an email that he would personally cover it and that we should let him know the value of the items. Our response with a more than forgiving amount was once again - IGNORED. it has been weeks and we have yet to hear from him. My next step, warn others every where I can, and file a police report with the Bethlehem Police and Contact the Attorney General. I repeat - DO NOT use these movers. They take no care with their customers property and obviously have no morals.Only gave 1 star because you cant give less. read more
