I used We Paint & Renovate to paint the exterior of my 1926 Cape Cod style house with shingle siding, which was terribly overdue for a repaint. We Paint was the lowest bidder, and sometimes you have to wonder if that's the right choice, but I couldn't be more pleased with the work that they did. Let me begin by saying that the teams sent to my home; Erin, Armando, Raphael and others whose names I cannot recall, performed phenomenal work! They were timely, professional, courteous, respectful and willing to go the extra mile to bring my ideas, and vision to life! They even suggested areas that of improvement that would enhance the aes of my home, and appeared to be as excited as I about the outcome of the many projects and gadgets that would be installed and performed in my home. They wanted to ensure that I was happy at each 'stage of the game' to completion. Let's go back.... Jason and Rob came to my home and performed the initial assessment; even addressing additional structural and aesthetic items that required concern and would enhance the overall look of my residence. Great! ....Quote and proposed start date submitted and approved, but here's where things become tumultuous... As the project ensued, I noticed additional install and structural items that I hoped could be addressed. These items were approved by Jason and an updated invoice was submitted and approved (willing to pay what was required). I will say that the team members were more than willing to gather additional materials as the need arose which were provided and secured by the team and Jason. Granted, I am not a contractor, unfamiliar with the 'lingo,' I may have been politically incorrect and 'antsy,' but it doesn't justify what happens next... I contacted Jason on maybe four different occasions during the 8-day process. On each occasion, my inquiries were met with an hint of imposition, impatience and an I'm doing you a favor' kinda thing. As a result of my additions, I even offered apologies to Jason for delaying the teams from moving on to their next job. I will say again that, if it had not been for the team member's warmth, genuine willingness to please, work ethics, excellence, and my time constraints, the project would have been terminated. What I learned from my final conversation with Jason was that some of my requests were special circumstances (glitter wall/2-color stairwell) and my desire for clarity of my invoice resulted in a shouting match where I was reminded that the company had been in existence for over 17 years, and that many things done throughout the process were allowances. I had hoped that Rob would be my 'go to,' during the project, but I was not afforded the opportunity to speak with him (although he was present with Jason; overhearing my conversation via speaker phone). Did this leave a sour taste? Yes, and it should not have occurred one day prior to completion. What's funny is that I had recently mentioned to individuals that my first renovation encounter/experience had occurred without incident.... Oh well..Fortunately, I was able to spend my last day of the project with two great guys: Raphael snd Erin. What beautiful spirits they have! I guess my 11 grand spent on the project was unimportant to Jason in that I did not receive a 'thank you for your business,' or anything resembling any type of gratitude for securing the services of this company. Will this review result in any particular outcome? Probably not, but it will definitely allow me to 'press on.' We had a terrible experience with this company. The lack of workmanship and professionalism was shocking. I do not recommend this company. I would give zero stars and let this serve as a warning to those looking for a painting company. The owner does not hold his foreman Rick or crews accountable. When you point things out that are incomplete or messy, they act like you are being unreasonable and demanding. Much like the prior review, they did not mask their cover properly. They cut corners and tried to get away with fading the paint which left unpainted areas. They left paint globs on carpet, furniture, and on the concrete patio and sidewalks outside of our home. I really could go on and none of it is good. I can prove that We Paint did this job. I have the contract, proof of payment (approx $10,000), and photographs of many of the problems that I described. The owner is denying it. He does that. This post should not be removed. It is truthful and valid. read more

We called We-Paint to give us an estimate to paint the exterior of our house. They had painted a house in our neighborhood and we really liked the way it turned out. Jason is a great communicator. His response to us calling to inquire about getting a bid, and his follow through with scheduling a walk through and estimate were excellent! We were a little undecided on our colors and Jason sent out a representative to go over colors with us. Another good experience! Armando was the team leader who painted the exterior of my home. Consisted of wood siding and needed some wood repairs. Did an excellent job and I was quoted a price but when the team got into the project, they determined that the job did not require all that was in the estimate. I was pleasantly surprised with the final bill and now have money left over to do the interior. They are Professional and well worth every penny spent on the job. It is so clean I don't want to put anything back. The men did a great job and cleaned up everything when they were done. This company is truly #1 per all their ratings. WePaint will do a quick good-enough job. The project will get completed in a timely manner but you will need to closely inspect "ALL" their finished work as I found many small (out of view wall) and not so small (doors) unpainted surfaces. They ARE NOT a quality first outfit. Most questions about overspray or damaged fixtures will get the response: "Foreman says was that way before". Take pictures of all of your areas of concern prior to their start of work so as to prove their responsibility after. Specifically discuss your expectations as to woodwork, jams and doors and window sill, surface textures with foreman during walkthrough or you will just receive gross air-sprayed or rolled paint application. Inspect all carpentry they do for gaps and unseated nails. Also they do not clean up old nails from constructions sites. Check all your light switches and outlets and door hardware for overspray. Be very explicit with them about paint color areas, separation and method of application. All these areas were issue I had with Rob and Jason and have pictures to prove my concerns. Do not expect them to do the best possible job, just a fast one. Also WePaint DID NOT CLEAN any surface before painting. They masked, after a fashion, then painted right over dust build-up and cob webs. Also WePaint did not correctly prepare enamel painted woodwork pror to applying latex paint with subsequent peel-off. WePaint receives 5 Star reviews because most people do not know what a quality paint job is. Quality is not words or fancy 10 color pamphlets, it is results. Be detailed about what you expect, look closely at what they do, hold them to their promises. A quality paint job is 90% preparation 10% application. WePaint failed on that metric on my house. read more

We Paint did an absolutely amazing job on our house which was a big project and in spite of the rain gutter replacement person we had hired to put new gutters, filters and screens on the house who took far longer than he was supposed to. They had to repaint the gutters three times because this guy put the wrong ones up and they did so at no additional cost to us and never once complained. Absolutely terrible quality and service, would give a zero if possible. We worked out a contract ahead of time with the owner on a complete exterior and interior paint job. When their foreman Rick showed up, we had to remind him that the exterior was to be washed before painting as per the contract, since they hadn't brought their equipment they decided to start the interior. The first day of the paintjob we asked for proper carpet covering for our new carpet and furniture and then double checked what was to be done by the crew. This is when they started mentioning extra charges for door handles, hinges, and lights which were never mentioned during the original estimate. We decided to remove the door handles ourselves and let them get started. Once they had finished the first half of the master bedroom, which took two days, we checked their work and noticed there were numerous paint cracks clearly visible from the previous paint layer that weren't filled or properly painted over. Along with this, there were numerous nail holes that were not filled and were clearly painted over. The interiors of the windows were not properly taped up and resulted in paint on the window frames. Upon closer inspection we also noticed areas on the walls where running paint had dried and been left as is, all of the exposed outlets didn't have any of the old paint buildup scraped as per the contract, and there were some areas to be painted that were either forgotten or had such thin layer of paint coating that the old paint was visible underneath. Some of our furniture had globs of paint on it and paint finger/handprints, despite asking them to be covered properly. As for our new carpet, it was adhered to the baseboard with paint because they didn't properly tape the edges of the carpet. When we brought these complaints to the foreman Rick, the groaning began about how we were asking for a lot of extra stuff, despite these being basic things included in our contract. On the third day the crew moved on to the master bathroom and had finished some of it by the end of the workday, so we checked their work again. This was by far the worst yet, paint was peeling off the walls by the evening and in the windows the paint was bubbling and retracting like rubber amongst other problems. At this point we were tired of having to continuously point out the same mistakes and tired of being told that areas that were previously done were suddenly not actually finished when we would find errors. On the third night we contacted business owner Jason to let him know we wanted to stop the paint job and speak to him in person about our concerns. The next morning the foreman showed up and told us that he and his crew were picking up all of their tools and materials and leaving. In the process of leaving in a rush they didn't put any of the outlet covers back on, the ceiling fan plate, or push in ceiling light frames. In addition to this the foreman Rick in an attempt to push our sliding closet doors back in haste ripped one of them off the rails and left it hanging crooked and half attached in the wall. We immediately called Jason and notified him of the damage and were told a carpenter would be sent to fix the door. As they left we even had to remind the paint crew about their pressure washer as they were about to leave it in our backyard. Afterwards we cleaned up after them and removed their leftover tape. We noticed that they had pulled the bathroom ventilation cover down and its frame partially out of the drywall and had left tape covering over it. Later that afternoon we received an email from Jason telling us that they were no longer coming back to our home or doing business with us and there was no no mention of our damaged closet door. We are now left with a broken door and a botched paint job which is peeling by the day in multiple places in the bathroom and will most likely have to be removed. As far as we can tell, the walls were not prepared properly or there's something else added to the paint causing it to not adhere to the walls. We are incredibly unsatisfied with this entire ordeal and when we enquired about our door that We Paint broke, we received no reply. We've never been rude to any of the employees or owner Jason, even when pointing out numerous issues with the paint job and regret having hired them in the first place. I'm leaving this review for anyone else who has seen their advertisements online or their "award" plaque, so that you're not setting yourself up for disappointment and possible property damage. If you still do end up hiring these guys make sure if a foreman named Rick shows up at your door, you immediately call the owner and ask for a different paint crew. read more

They bulldozed through my flower beds to paint my house, leaving a destroyed pathway in their wake... They cleaned up their paint brushes and equipment on my lawn, leaving the paint residue on my property. They told me that they would do a final walk through on my property to go over the details of the completed project to discuss any items that I felt were still outstanding- none of this happened.
