Unfortunately we have had the same experience as Elisha, twice. We signed up for 4 weeks of camp but had a change of plans and needed to cancel a week. No refund, which is in the contract when you sign up for camps so I get it. We decided to use the credit towards a birthday party. This is where WRTS really needs to improve. There is no system that shows credits, at least not to anyone but the owner. Emails are never returned by the owner, calls are never called back regarding anything financial. I had to physically go up there any time I tried to get information on our credit, they were keeping track of things with sticky notes. The staff is great and super sweet and playful with the kids, but have no way of helping a parent with anything but drop off unless the owner is physically at the establishment. I did get heated after going up there 4 times and still no answers to my questions after emailing, calling, and them telling me she will call me back. We finally got things done when they got ahold of her on the phone. When the party was over we were contacted after we left for not paying. I reminded them about a credit and if they can show me where I didn't pay and they did not follow up. I do not believe this place is a scam, we really enjoy it, but the owners have many ventures and I feel stretched thin. This idea is great, we love open play and again the staff is wonderful. Each location needs a business manager outside of the owners to make sure things run properly and funds are tracked. We will never do another party again, also make sure you will be at camp, and if you have to cancel track your credits yourself, there is no way for the young staff to help you. read more

Terrible experience. I signed our son up for camp for several weeks this summer- $1,500 in total. When I called as we were getting closer to his first camp, I asked them questions about general schedule, lunches, ages of kids that attend, etc. They explained that most of the kids that attended camp were ages 3-7. Our son is 10, so at that time I asked if we could cancel the camps, as this would not be a good fit for him. They said that I would have to "sell the camp to someone else" and they refused to offer a refund, for any of the weeks I signed him up for. No where does it say that once camps are purchased, the sale is final. The manager never calls you back, and the people that work there are very young and unable to help in any way. read more

We love this place! They have hosted two birthday parties for us, with great service and decorations both times! We also love coming for open play. As always, you have to supervise your kids appropriately and there is an art area so plan dress accordingly! (It's just like preschool, where they always suggest you wear play clothes!) read more

Maria's review is very similar to mine. "Victoria", I believe is her name from what I've gathered, Was very hard to watch. She was very rude, dismissive and blatantly mean to some of the autistic children she was supposed to be caring for. Even worse with her own children that she brings with her. I did email the owner a few months back about this and I was happy that she did respond and was very caring about my concerns. However seeing another review over the same person makes me know that it is something that must happen often. So I would be weary leaving my child in her care. There are other employees that seem pretty good at their job though. But if they don't step in when she does act this way I would say they are somewhat complicit as well. I recommend this place if you're planning to stay with your kid at all times. There are kids watching over other and no kind of structure. My son loves coming here and playing with other kids. On most days it's a hit or miss. It's great when it's great and it's bad when it's bad. Sometimes it's too packed play. read more

The idea is good, but apparently my son, who has severe autism and is 9 years old, is too big for this place. It is perfect for children ages 5 and under. And the day we went most of the children who were there did not have autism, so there were parents who did not understand and therefore, the idea of the place of 'not having to say sorry, went to the floor'. Management was unwilling to help with an item that was left at the facility. I was told it was in the break-room with my name & number on it. I wasn't given any instruction other than that. I returned 9 days later to retrieve it (kids and work) and was told that it had been donated to Goodwill-without any warning. No phone calls or even told in X amount of days it will be donated. Management showed zero sympathy or remorse. Will not be returning for anymore playdates unfortunately. read more

I've tried to contact the owners twice to voice my concerns and they did not call me back either time when I expressed worry watching one of their speech therapist interact with the children she was working with. This person, I think her name is Victoria (Veronica?), but I'm not sure. She is a larger woman, long hair, tattoo on her arm. She was on her phone while these children were trying to get her attention - it was clear they were supposed to be in her care. When she did finally look up from her phone she was talking very loudly and rudely to the small kiddos, rolling her eyes and even grabbed the one little girl by her arm from the trampoline, dragged her over to a different part of the room and forced her to sit down and said "I'm not doing this with you today". The little girl was also eating a snack and dropped part of it on the floor and asked for help and this therapist (?) angrily picked it up and threw it away and said "you're done..." I was mortified because these special needs kiddos were being neglected and verbally abused. When she worked with this other little boy, she was acting upset, raising her voice and seemed obviously mad at him for not guessing a color or shape wrong, withholding the block that he was reaching for. I watched her over the next hour we were there and I was in tears thinking if this was my child in her care. I tried to talk to the owners that day and called twice since then with no response. Wish the owners would have been more concerned with what I saw. Please don't leave your kiddos in these people's care. read more

This place is fun for open play and we've been many times but I hosted a birthday party there and was disappointed in the service. Never again will I host a party here. The Bday party package that I purchased included renting the gym out for a private party & pricing was $500. For this amount, you'd expect to arrive 30 minutes ahead of the party and the gym be empty and clean/ready for set up, right? This was not the case. I arrived and a birthday party that was hosted there before us, with about 20 little kids and their families, were still there with everything still set up and kids playing/ parents chatting. I walked In with balloons and it was very obvious that we were about to set up for a private party and the parents continued letting their kids play! The girl that was working was sweet but was not assertive enough, apparently she said she told them to leave several minutes ago but they weren't listening. So, I took it upon myself to tell customers that it was time to leave. Now it's 11:45-11:50 and kids are slowly making their way out and she still has to clean/sanitize everything! the gym is a mess with toys everywhere, the paint window is filthy, goldfish on the floor, etc. Fast forward to cake time, I asked the girl that was working if she had a candle lighter and she said yes (which I had asked before coming in and they told me they had one) but she couldn't find it. So my daughter had a candle in her cake but didn't get it blow it out. By this point, I'm upset. In my opinion, this is unacceptable service for a private party that costs $500 just for the gym. They offered an extra 30 minutes of playtime but it was too late and many of the kids needed to take a nap so I asked what else they could do to accommodate for the lack of service & she offered $50 off. Pre-COVID we had a membership and went pretty regularly. Our son has always had fun there and the staff is friendly and responsive. Although we don't go as regularly, we still enjoy going. They have a variety of activities, swings, etc. read more

My girls absolutely love this place!! They have open play during the week with tons of things to climb and swing and jump and play on. My girls could stay for hours!! And it's totally enclosed so parents can feel super comfortable letting the kids play freely. It always smells and feels so clean too which is a big one for us!! We also have had birthday parties for both of my girls here and they both had THE BEST DAY!! The staff was so nice and helpful in planning and getting everything worked out for us. The staff was so incredibly attentive and helpful - and they gave darling favors for our guests!! Cant recommend this place enough!! It's the best!! read more

Truly a fun, safe space for all families but a particular gem for Autism families. The owner has made it her life's work to help special needs children and the staff are primarily special needs parents or others working to serve the community. The best part is how they manage to make the all-inclusiveness....invisible. Play equipment designed for all abilities is amongst the rest of the equipment with no disconnect from the child's perspective so everyone plays together seamlessly. There's dress-up, finger painting, zip lining, a sensory room, healthy snacks, ALL the swings, toys and gifts. This should be the standard for all play spaces. I'm so grateful. We drive 2 hours to visit this gym! I've even noticed the staff intervening with my kiddo so I can chill for a minute. The attention to detail for families accustomed to a different experience, was not lost on me. This is inclusiveness done right. For a family without extra needs - its simply a great kid's gym - but the accommodations for extra need families is organically woven into the algorithm of the whole experience and that's the real win. read more

My daughter has been going to We Rock the Spectrum-Dallas since the day it opened. To be completely honest, when you walk into the space it is a child's wonderland. It's full of sensory activities, fun games, and attentive/well trained staff that will keep your child entertained and their imagination stimulated. There are swings, slides, boats, and so many more sensory crafts/games to choose from to make your child's experience both memorable and enjoyable. Kids are designed to explore, and We Rock the Spectrum-Dallas completely embraces that concept with play rooms and art spaces designed specifically with a child's curiosity in mind. This sensory gym welcomes both kids on and off the Autism spectrum, and kids with and without sensory differences to create a community that embraces every type of child and encourages them to learn about each other, too. The space is very safe and there is a latch on the front internal gate that kids can't open from the inside. The door to the outside is very heavy and it takes an adult to actually open that door, plus the door is being monitored at all times by a staff person that is positioned directly in front of the door to greet people as they walk in. I would recommend We Rock the Spectrum Dallas to any friend or family member. We need more of these spaces for our kids in the DFW area. Five stars... read more
