There are broad sidewalks behind all the rows, to escape the "crowd" but really I found the density of crowd perfectly pleasant, not too much, just cheerful, and there were plenty of benches and steps to sit on for a quick break. Plenty of spots to sit with food, plenty of space for each stand. Overall, I've seen markets across the country and give this 5 stars for being just super pleasant in every regard. People of Lafayette area are so friendly and cheerful, too! Enjoy! P.S. If it's sweet and you can drink it or let it melt in your mouth, they can probably make it here for you behind the soda counter at McCord Candies. I saw people sitting off by themselves at tables in the middle of a field, and people sitting on the patio of the main building. I asked for a couple of the driest reds, but then also threw in a Traminette and Riesling, which are semi-dry. I really liked the semi-dry wines, which I never go for in real life, but I'm glad I tried. The dry wines (there were only two options) were still a little too sweet for me, but that's Indiana wine for you. If you lean toward sweet wines, you will like the majority of the wines at Wildcat Creek Winery. This is not really a place to eat and enjoy wine, although you can find some packaged hunks of cheese and whole summer sausages in the fridge. It's more like a place to enjoy a nice glass or bottle of wine, and then grab some charcuterie fixin's on the way out, if you want to.

This is the home base for Wolf's, though they do also have a location in nearby West Lafayette. Wolf's has been in business for over a half century, though they've mostly lived in the shadow of other familiar Indiana chocolatiers. They use a handmade process in their Attica factory. Located in an easy to miss building near the National Guard Armory on U.S. 41 (which is known as Council Street in Attica), Wolf's also offers shopping online and they have some of their chocolates available at A Taste of Indiana here in Indianapolis. I'm sitting here having devoured a Fine Milk Chocolate Crisp (think Nestle Crunch but a zillion times better). Four servings? Who are they kidding. I ate the whole thing without regrets. Wolf's offers box chocolates, specialty size chocolates, caramel corn, candy bars, chews, pan-crafted chocolates, holiday chocolates (especially Valentine's Day and Christmas season), fudge, baskets, and more. The candy bars typically come it right about $3 - I personally think this is an amazing price for quality chocolate locally made. Custom boxes vary in size from 8-pieces to 48-pieces and you can create your own. Prices are fair - in fact, I'd say quite good. The people are friendly even during the holiday rush. The tradition is as rich as the chocolate and I'm just delighted that I can find them here in Indy not too far from my northeast side home. Oh my goodness there are so many activities to enjoy, both for kids and adults. The place was so crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and you could tell everyone was having a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend heading out there! A few things to note: first, dogs are allowed! If you are like me and have a trained service animal, it can be a bit overwhelming (if you know, you know). They are not allowed in indoor spaces, only outside (SD's allowed everywhere). But many people had their pets and seemed to really be enjoying themselves! Second, food does not really meet dietary needs/restrictions. They have a lot of your basic "fair foods" or foods you'd find at a pumpkin patch - hot pretzels, burgers, hot dogs, apple cider donuts, etc. I am vegetarian and really struggled to find a true meal other than little snacky things scattered about. If you are planning to spend the day here (which you can EASILY do), plan ahead with food in your car! Third, on the plus side, everything was wheelchair accessible. Terrain may be harder to navigate with gravel and many hills going up & down (paths are dirt but well established), but all buildings have access. Other than this, it truly was a fun time!!
