Full version: Roy is an all-talk-no-action process server that does not do much except talk about himself and complain about the price of diesel. If diesel is all that expensive, you would think he would only use the full surveillance truck when it's a private investigation pursuit or a workers' comp case, but I digress. I lost time and money taking this guy's advice and utilizing his legal process service for my case. Roy has twice told me to request a new court date from the court clerk. All the while, the court clerk cannot issue a motion for continuance and set a new date; it has to be the judge. It's kind of shocking that despite the 30 years or whatever he's been doing this and his know-it-all attitude that he didn't know that. Then after causing my court case to drag on TWICE by not serving the papers and wasting my time twice by barking orders based on misinformation, he had the nerve to call me stupid for asking him if it could be served at work to the individual's supervisor, as a previous document had been served in this manner. Very rude and unprofessional, he kept telling me it needed to be served by a process server or sheriff over and over, which I already knew and was why I was utilizing his service in the first place. I realized he meant it must be served personally by the process server, so when he kept on asking if I wanted him to serve it to the supervisor, in other words improperly, after I clearly understood it had to be served personally. I said, no, I don't want that if that's not the proper way. That is when he asked if I was stupid and said he didn't want to work with me. I don't need this nonsense. I already have enough stress with this and another claim/case due to aggressive ignoramuses on the roads of San Jose totaling my vehicle (100% other party's fault). We all have problems, but the guy behind this process service company will make his problems yours, as a customer, and takes out his frustrations on his clients. It is highly suspect that all but one of this business's reviews on Google are 5 stars, especially since many of those 5-star reviews are from accounts that have only ever rated this particular business. It appears to be bought/bot reviews and the business owner's very own alternate accounts!

I originally provided 2 addresses where I thought the defendant might be, I was told $110.00 for 5 attempts at any address. I asked for the skip trace since I wasn't sure of the defendants correct address but was advised to wait. Well the skip trace was necessary and with still 2 attempts left, I got charged an additional $85 for them to attempt at a new address. Total cost: $370! I could have saved myself $85+ if they gave me all this info and the correct info up front.

But the thing that stuck out to me, the most is that in four years of all this domestic violence litigation I'm in the middle of by my ex involving my four-year-old son, of all the attorneys that have been involved throughout the four years, of all the judges that the case has been in front of over the years, And even my own family members who have now become involved, Eric Morales, although barely knowing me at this point, and only having a few phone calls in between us over the course of a week or two - when I texted him late one night saying something to the effect of " Hi, sorry it's so late, but can you talk? I need input on some thing important to me". His response was simple into the point, but had more of an impact on me than any of the previous people that I just mentioned and listed off. His response was "Yes, can you just give me a few minutes and I'll give you a call right back. Are you safe?" and I can honestly say that's the first time someone is asking me that and genuinely meant it and wanted to know the answer in four years I'm dealing with what I'm dealing with right now in terms of litigation domestic violence and family court cases involving the custody of my toddler son. Not even my own family members have asked how I'm doing recently, if at all during all of this, so for somebody who barely knew me and had a handful of phone calls at best with me at that point, for him to ask if I'm safe, made me feel more seen and heard it like I had worth for the first time for as long as I can remember, at least the last four years. That all being said if you need absolutely anything done in regards to legal paperwork, process serving, non-legal advice because he can't technically do that although he alludes to sound solid, good advice or should I say suggestions that sound like "if I were you" lol he's not only the best in the business as. far as professionalism and integrity and reliable in a field or world that is the Judicial system where honesty and good intentions, and just the willingness to want to help people is so rare it's almost unheard of. And his reputation proceeds him, so I heard through multiple people in the legal field, spanning at least three different counties. But if you read nothing else in this post, I hope you hear me when I say that when you're facing one of the most challenging times of your life and people with good, pure, true intentions are so hard to come by. They're almost impossible to find, Eric is without a doubt and absolute amazing and impossibly good, honest and decent human being. And m that fact alone, especially in the world of court litigation, is so rare that when you come across it you hold onto those types of individuals, you must appreciate them, you must wealth-fully and generously compensate them well for helping you in one of the probably worst times of your entire life - and that's dealing with *any* court division in this country. That all being said when I felt so alone for so many years and felt like I was fighting this fight to get my son back with no one having my back, let alone hearing me and understanding where I was coming from or even just listening to me vent about the same thing 2000 times a day lol, Eric changed that for me and in that moment when he asked "are you safe" that was a moment for me in this process. When I called to complain about the incorrect service these people had the gall to tell me that "You should have checked the Secretary of State website for confirmation." I then ask them why they didn't confirm the corporate service, themselves, before sending out my document. I was told "You would have had to request that service." I have to REQUEST for you to be thorough? So know that you must request courtesy service with these people. As a result, I posted a negative review about the poor corporate service before they attempted to serve my residential document. They FAILED TO SERVE on ALL SIX ATTEMPTS. And to add insult to injury they didn't even inform me as to when they finished the process. I had to call for confirmation and just barely made my legal deadline. They claim to have mailed me the confirmation a month earlier but they lie. I am THE ONLY person with a key to my mailbox and I have had the very same mailman for 20 years. If they actually mailed it I would have gotten it. They did not mail me anything and my mailman said he saw nothing. And I believe him. This company tried to retaliate against me because of my review. So here is another one. If you have time sensitive and important legal documents that need to be handled with care, DO NOT USE this company. I paid them $230.00 for absolutely NOTHING!!! They couldn't serve either document. They just did a terrific job for me on a rush assignment dealing with a particularly difficult Sheriff's Office. They moved heaven and earth to get something done in one day. This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) If you have work in Nor Cal, I can't recommend them highly enough. (I should also mention that they just opened an office right across from CT Corporation in Glendale)
