Reading the books, I've always had a fondness for the Weasley family. I knew when making a trip to Universal Orlando that I wanted to stop by any Weasley themed store. There are often chilly nights, and loved the zip hoodies featuring the Weasley "W." A perfect addition to any fan of the Weasley family. I loved stepping into such an accurate recreation of an integral part of the series! The shop is exactly what I imagine when ready the books. The set up, architecture and items are displayed to perfection. The staff are also extremely helpful and guided me to what I was looking for! The vibe is ridiculous and humorous, with a feeling that the twins could appear at any moment. And the items while not inexpensive, are well worth it for their quality and quantity. Once again, due to their accuracy, I was very happy to grab a few things to remember the visit and the overall trip. The entire experience was the best kind of nostalgia trip. In the Harry Potter books, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes is a joke shop in Diagon Alley founded by Fred and George Weasley. Their mother would have preferred that they pursued a career in the Ministry of Magic but instead they came up with many of their product ideas while they were still students at Hogwarts. Harry Potter gave them the money to start the business. Opened on July 8, 2014, you can visit Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World in Universal Studios. The building with bright pops of orange and purple was designed to look like it appears in the movie. It is instantly recognizable by the 20-foot-tall robotic Weasley twin on the front of the building that lifts his hat to reveal a rabbit on the top of his head. He lowers the hat and then lifts it again to show that the rabbit has disappeared. On the outside of the building are advertisements for Edible Dark Marks, Skiving Snackboxes, and U-No-Poo. The windows have elaborate displays like a girl throwing up after eating a puking pastille and Day of the Dead skeletons dancing near boxes of fireworks. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes connects to Sugarplum's Sweet Shop via an interior passage. Inside the joke shop is a colorful array of clothing, toys, and candy. Popular sweets include Love Potion, U-No-Poo, Fever Fudge, Nosebleed Nougat, Puking Pastilles, Fainting Fancies, and Skiving Snackboxes (includes Fainting Fancies, Nosebleed Nougat, Puking Pastilles, and Fever Fudge). In the movies the Skiving Snackboxes were designed to make students sick so they could skip class. One half of the sweet would make you sick and the other would heal you. Of course these are just candy. Fred and George Weasley bred Puffskeins to create miniature versions known as Pygmy Puffs which are sold here. They are handy to have because they are knon to eat earwax. You can also purchase Pygmy Puffs at the Magical Menagerie but adoption ceremonies only take place at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezies. Other joke items carried here include Bombastic Bombs, Screaming Yo-yos, Chattering Teeth, Extendable Ears, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, Sneakoscopes, Chinese Fortune Sticks, Pik-A-Stiks, Boxing Telescopes, and Decoy Detonators, all of which were mentioned in the books. Like all of the stores in the Wizarding World, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes is cramped and highly detailed to make you feel as if you really are in the Wizarding World. Look for the animated exploding fireworks on the ceiling and a toy Dolores Umbridge riding a unicycle across a tightrope while balancing two cauldrons and yelling "I will have order!" This is a first floor shop but as you look up towards the second and third floors, you can see props from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie. There is so much to see and every time I visit I spot something new. read more

I was so pumped to get my nephew some fun items because he's 8 and definitely in his prank stage of boy life. Being a child at heart myself I found a few things for myself as well of course to get into a prank war with him. If you love Harry Potter and pranks I would highly recommend coming in here while in Universal Studios because it was a fun store even to just look around. This funny little place is located in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, Orlando. It really feels like it came right out of the movie! Once inside, I felt like I was part of the whole HP production! When outside, pay close attention and you'll see the sign is animated. Also, when the Weasley twin's hat comes up you can see a rabbit on his head. Inside looks typical of what you see in the movie. Definitely a wacked out, crazy place for souvenirs or just soaking up the HP experience. A must see shop along your tour, this is also attached to a Quidditch shop and a sweet shop. Get your Pygmy puffs, candies and chocolates...just like the movie. Like I've said repeatedly about Universal and HP, it's expensive. Out of line - in my opinion. Pay it if you want. It's all according to what's worth the coin to you. They did do a phenomenal job on the recreate. You paid the money to come here, experience everything. A busy place for sure. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes!!! I can hardly say the name of this shop it ties my tongue up so much! The Twin Brothers Weasley run the joke shop and it can be found in Diagon Alley in Universal Studios. It's one of the most fun looking shops in Diagon Alley with a giant fella popping right out of the window. The shop is absolutely packed with fun little toys and joke items...you're sure to find some awesome Harry Potter souvenirs if you're looking for something slightly different. Love portion for your crush? Yep, they got it. Chattering teeth for Grandma? They have that, too! Sneakoscope for the Sneaky McSneakerson in your classroom? Uh huh...got one of those right here in this shop! Weasley's Wizard Wheezes is so full of color and fun items! You can't miss this shop in Diagon Alley. It's bright with lots of purple and orange. If the colors don't catch your eye the giant figure lifting his hat to expose a bunny should! It seems like a smaller space than it is just because it appears so cluttered. The majority of the space goes upwards (though patrons are only allowed on the ground floor). There's so much going on but it's all so well thought out. Make sure to watch the ceiling to catch the fireworks and see the unicycling Umbridge. You can purchase gag gifts, treats, and Pygmy puffs! This was a really cute shop that captured a lot of the essence of Fred and George's shop both in the book and movie. The bright orange paint and moving head with a bunny popping from the hat leave little doubt that if you're in the business for mischief, you'll easily manage it in this shop. Starting from the outside, the shop has a loud color scheme, easily the most noticeable shop in Diagon Alley. There's an upstairs (viewed from the floor only) with all sorts of random gizmos, colorful boxes, and various contraptions. The Dolores Umbridge balancing her way on a unicycle is worth a stop in the shop all by itself. You can pick yourself up those much needed puking pastilles, the plushie pink and purple Pygmy puffs all the girls want, and speaking of what all the girls want (no Ron's not here) there's an ample supply of those deadly love potions. This is probably my most favorite shop to go into by Diagon Alley because everywhere you look are unique Weasley things to purchase. It's like being in the toy stores of my early 90's childhood with things racing around the ceiling, and the fireworks up at the very top just put the icing on the cake. Def buy the u no poo here, I got a boat load of them for my family for xmas and I feel like they're going to die with laughter. read more

The kids really looked forward to this store! They love it. This is where they first adopted their adorable Pygmy Puffs and had them named in their famous ceremony. I am not sure if they are still doing the formalities during COVID, but this is still a shop to visit for some unique Potter finds. I love the candy. This time I got Nosebleed Nugget. I have not seen it outside this store, but that does not mean you can't find it elsewhere. It was surprisingly delicious, and worth the purchase, not just for the adorable packaging and theming, but incredible flavor. The chocolate was fresh and the nugget pillowy, soft and chewy. They offer other fun "joke" candy and joke gifts and gadgets. If we lived in this universe, we would frequent this store. So fun with the entire theme. You really need to pay attention to all of the careful detailing that went into creating the atmosphere. The store is a tight squeeze and hard to distance, so they might occasionally limit the amount of people inside. Even though the park was filled, we did not have a problem here. Take advantage of the package delivery if you are staying on property. I love buying candy and having it sent to the room so it does not melt in the heat. You cute adopted pets will also reach your hotel if you need those shipped as well. read more

It looks just like it does in the movies. They even have love potions (which are perfectly made into water flavorers). It's fun to just walk around this place and see all the neat toys. One of the first shops you visit as you step into Diagon Alley. It is of course, the novelty joke shop opened up by the pranksters themselves, the Weasley twins. I was sort of sad that neither Fred nor George were there, but no big deal... Oh wait, Fred's dead actually. George is probably still mourning. Sorry, back to my review and what every Harry Potter fan wants to see... This is an enjoyable little shop that offers: ~ A balancing Dolores Umbridge on a unicycle that moves along a tight rope toy. I plan to buy one. I love Dolores, don't ask me why. ~ The Decoy Detonator. ~ Plush glove of a Weasley Wizard finger. ~ Chattering teeth, an extendable ear, and whoopie cushions. ~ Bombtastic Bombs, or disastrous delight sweets. ~ Plush pink and purple Pygmy Puffs. ~ The Skydiving Snack Box: trick candy to make your friends sick. ~ Chinese Fortune Sticks: better than your average cookie fortune! ~ U-No-Poo: a constipation candy. Need to pick up one of these too! ~ I heard there's a love potion, but may have over looked it. ~ Note: There's also a back entrance into the Quidditch shop. Overall, this store nearly spot with what's seen in the movie. I had fun from first sight! As I was browsing, I was simply amazed with just all the detail and colored decor all around. "Just like the movie!" If the store itself was just a little bit bigger, I would've loved it more, only it can be kind of tight. We were so excited to go here after we saw that Weasley's did a naming ceremony for pigmy puffs. My daughter went and carefully picked a pigmy puff, used her birthday money and thought up her name. When we went to pay, I asked the cashier about the ceremony and she said all it is me calling it out the name. I asked her to do it anyway and she responded by saying she doesn't like being the center of attention. She finally did it but her response totally ruined our experience. My daughter felt guilty for "making" her do it. The toy is a lot less magical now. read more

An amazing shop! So accurate in the way it looks compared to the Harry Potter movies. They sell lots of clothes, gizmos, gadgets, and candies. It's a very aesthetically pleasing little place. Can get very crowded at times but a must-see. The architecture is incredible. Decorated perfectly and even the employees are in full costume. read more

Like basically everything in this area of the park, this place is magical. I think Fred and George would have approved of their mugglefied storefront. You'll find all the treats, like the Skiving Snackboxes, but also a ton of joke toys in the Hogwarts vein. You'll find Sneakoscopes, Purvian Instant Darkness Powder, Extendable Ears, etc. This is the perfect place to grab something for a friend that's obsessed with Harry Potter, and could get the reference. I will say that the shop is pretty tiny, but definitely worth a wander through. I've yet to buy anything here, but at least I know where to go if I want to get a friend something. read more

If you like sweet treats and icing like I do, well then this treat is just for you. This place is packed full of all the cool stuff you read about in the books, saw in the movies, and wanted to try out! It can get crowded so patience is a great virtue to use here. There is a lot to see, so make sure to look up. You can take some pretty neat photos outside too. There is also a back entrance to Quality Quidditch Supplies inside. read more
