SCW and I have discovered Weatherbee Nursery and really enjoy shopping here. They are located just off of Weatherbee road near the elementary school. The driveway entrance can be a little tricky to spot but once you are in there is lots of parking available. The employees at Weatherbee Nursery are very knowledgeable and helpful. Frequently at check out they will have great tips for the best ways to keep your plants thriving. I really appreciate the knowledge and kindness they show to us. The nursery itself is quite large and they have lots of native trees, shrubs, fruit trees, cover crops, flowers, herbs and veggies. Off to the left side when you checkout they have soils and fertilizers to help keep your plants thriving. The prices are a good value as well I've found. I'll certainly be back to Weatherbee Nursery. I went to purchase plants for the front of my mother's house and the selection was amazing. Do not be deceived by the small entry-- the property is very deep and I was impressed with the selection of shrubs, flowers and variety of plantings. Not only are the prices excellent but the knowledge of the staff is worth the visit. Gail was incredibly helpful in guiding me to chose the appropriate plants that would thrive in the front yard.. Well, previously, I would have given it a 5 star, but after my last experience, 3 stars. Plants looked beautiful at first. After a couple days, I noticed one was completely invested with spider mites. If you are a master gardener as I am, you know that's a death sentence for a plant!! I don't make phone calls, so I sent them a message and asked if I should toss it, bring it back to them, get a refund or replacement. No response at all!! They previously answered my text when I asked if they had a certain plant in stock, and told me when more plants were to be delivered. I will never go there again, and after this experience, will not recommend them. The young girl who works in the garden, is a gem!! read more

Wow, what a great find! This is a family run business (40 years in biz) and their service and selection are tops! I came to Jim and Gail yesterday asking for assistance to create a peaceful space outside my Dad's Lanai. He is recovering from a stroke and I want him to have a nice little Shangra-la when he returns home. They spent tons of time with me helping me create an awesome landscape. After 4 trips to their nursery and a full day of planting.... mission accomplished. Skip Home Depot and go see them! Their plant health and selection is superior.
