That's just for starters. They don't come, and they don't come and they don't come. I'm calling and calling to see when they're coming and finally, when someone does show up, it's NOT Brincks Exteriors; it's Larry, Moe and Curley Joe from some slipshod roofing company they've sublet my job to; without ever telling me. They took an iron railing down to start (without marking the sequence they had to be put back up), and a separate company had to be brought in to do that job, and finally did that at the end of this whole scenario, about 2 months from the start. The estimate I paid for was supposed to replace all the plywood on the 14' x 18' surface, and they only replaced about 5 or 6 sheets, if that. During the whole comedy routine, they poked a hole through the sheetrock down into my bedroom, which is below this porch. L, M & CJ Roofing offered to fix it, free of charge, but at this point, after all the hassle, I just wanted the job finished and them off my property. They used a very thin rubber roofing product (.002 or something like that) for a surface that is used for porch furniture and foot traffic, when it should've been a thicker, more suitable surface in order to last. These guys are general contractors; they didn't come and do any of the work - had I known how that was going to go, I never would've hired them!! Beware!

I hired Square Oaks for a large patio door and window project at my lake house. Unfortunately, this…read morehas been one of the most frustrating contractor experiences I have ever had. The patio door was purchased on October 25, 2025, and the window was purchased on December 19, 2025. Square Oaks' own written "What to Expect Next" document states that, following inspection, products would take approximately 6-8 weeks to arrive at their warehouse, with installation scheduled once all product was confirmed. Instead, this project dragged on for approximately 8-10 months, with repeated problems along the way. After several interactions and full on arguments with the owner, Rick Rajchel, showed me where his moral compass lies by offering me a full refund verbally and then in writing (a week and a half later) emailed me to say I was trying to get money out of him and all he would do is a 10% discount. The window installation in particular has been a nightmare. The window was initially installed in a manner that did not accommodate the siding, requiring Square Oaks to return and adjust the installation. During that adjustment, Square Oaks broke the glass. They subsequently ordered replacement glass, which was also broken. Another replacement was ordered, and that glass was broken as well. So after multiple attempts, I am still left with a large window that is visibly broken and unresolved. What has been equally frustrating is the lack of communication and accountability throughout the process. I was repeatedly required to follow up for updates, and at one point the owner told me he was personally handling the issue. After not receiving the promised follow-up, I had to reach out again simply to get an update. After explaining the history of the problems, I spoke directly with the owner, who verbally told me he would provide a full refund for the window. I relied on that conversation as the resolution to the issue. However, when he subsequently put his position in writing, he reversed course and offered only a 10% discount on the entire project while continuing to charge me for the window. The response has now been reduced to telling me that the broken glass is simply a warranty issue and that I can either accept their offer or pursue arbitration. For me, this isn't about refusing a warranty. (Which it clearly states in their warranty clause that damage during installation DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY) It's about the fact that I paid for a properly installed, functioning window and have instead experienced repeated installation problems, repeated broken glass, significant delays, and an enormous amount of time spent following up with the company to get problems corrected. I hired a professional company because I expected them to manage the project professionally. Instead, I feel like I have had to manage the contractor throughout the process. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Square Oaks to understand exactly how defects, installation damage, delays, warranty issues, and disputes are handled before signing a contract. This is just part of my experience- I didn't share the issues from the patio door. Highly recommend you do not buy from this company. .
