After consulting Yelp I found Door Specialties and saw the had five stars. I decided to call them. They answered the phone despite that I called a few minutes before they open. They were able to send a repair person to my home within 2-3 hours who looked over the issue and provided me a quote. He was able to replace the spring and lube the rollers within just a few hours (he had to go get parts). I am extremely impressed with their customer service. They are prompt, provide accurate estimates and go the extra mile. I strongly recommend them!

I even removed all the existing carpet and staples for an easy install. They cancelled at 10:40am, leaving me to burn time off from my job and twiddle my thumbs. Although I was clear she making the appointment, they refused to haul away the old carpet. Seriously, why would I want to keep it? Their claim is that I never indicated I wanted it taken away, which is completely wrong. The install was sub-par. Transition to LVP was done incorrectly AND CROOKED! (See photos). They also did me the favor of big, dirty handprints all over my freshly painted walls. Dude, wash your filthy hands or wipe off your grime! Both Home Depot and HOM Solutions don't care to make sure the old carpet is taken away, and the lousy install is now a "warranty issue". Stay away from Home Depot and these installers.

We had…read morestopped looking into getting new windows last year because we weren't happy with the quality or financing options through other companies, until we were approached by a Brightside employee in our neighborhood. He was very nice and informative and we were able to get a consultation that night from Luke. Luke was very personable and patient as we went through everything their company offered and we were able to get scheduled. Our house was built in 1943 with large, original colonial style windows with individual window panes in each window. I love the look and charm it gives but it was not energy efficient, sound buffering, or easy to clean. We also have two dogs, one of which had caused a few of the small panes to be broken, leaving small holes with only the storm window as our "window". I was very excited to learn that they offer the same style and we were able to add that to our new window order. Safe to say, we got a huge upgrade. We have some loud car noise on our street that would wake us up at night but since we've had our windows installed, I haven't heard them once. The whole house stays a more consistent temperature and when our toddler or dogs make the windows messy, it is a breeze to clean the inside and outside. The glass is also slightly darker which allows for better privacy without having to have your curtains drawn all the time. The installation company was great as well. The two employees were very nice, had great communication, and ended up finishing faster than anticipated. They walked us through our new windows and they had cleaned up any mess that had been caused from installation. Overall, the value our new windows adds to our lives is priceless and we highly recommend using Brightside for your windows.

I was happy with the work until it started to leak when it rained. I called Simen about the problem and he sent out his assistant who took our hose and tried to get the roof to leak to no avail. After experiencing another leak I texted Simen several times to get him to fix the issue but I did not receive any response from him after maybe 4 or 5 texts. During this winter the roof leaked several times from melting snow. Out of frustration I called a roofing contractor and he pointed out several issues or mistakes that were made with their work. His words were "they knew just enough to get in trouble." The work they did was over $6000.00 and now I have to replace a large section of the roof to fix the problem.

I will never trust PDS again.
