They don't actually check your benefits just quote based on what they see with other policies. I've been in the insurance industry over 20 years so very well versed on my insurance coverage. I arrived at the appointment to wait for the guy up front to finish a call out loud with a patient. No confidentiality whatsoever as I was able to hear what the patient was coming in for, her name and other personal information. While he was on the phone the other staff members were sitting around in the back being very unprofessional laughing and joking very loudly not even acknowledging my presence. Finally once he wrapped up the call, he acknowledged me a couple of minutes later to only mis- quote my insurance benefits that were provided 3 months in advance of the appointment. I should have known not to proceed with the appointment when I spoke with him on the phone to schedule the appointment but I still went in as the doctor that completed my UFE recommended Dr. Gray. It was a complete waste of my time as I was not seen that day after taking off from work early and blocking off the time that could have been used else where. It might have all been for the best if the front side of the office is a reflection of the type of service provided. The experience was extremely disappointing after being referred by another provider I highly respect. I'm sharing this feedback with him as well so he can be cautious when putting his name behind this provider. Dr. Miller, refuses to do the blood work I need done, even though he can and does do this blood work, all because another doctor ordered it So, now, not only do I still need to find someone to do this blood work for me, I now have to find another primary doctor I can trust and will work with my team of doctors. They charged my husband for an office visit, not the machine itself, an OFFICE VISIT ($60.00 copay) for stopping in the office to pick up the machine that would be used for his scheduled home sleep study. He literally walked to the front desk, picked up the machine, and left. They charged him and additional $52.00 for to READ THE RESULTS!!! Not call us with results, but just read them. They then called him in to the office and charged him another $60.00 to give him his next steps from the results. I am so floored by this nickel and dime mentality. When I inquired with the billing department, they told me that they were within their LEGAL RIGHTS TO CHARGE. Both of them are great so if your original doctor is unavailable no worries. Dr. Bhakta recently joined WCA and was the one who actually delivered my little one.
