I was referred to and advised that Collin County ENT would take Tri-Care. Truth is that they do take Tri-Care and it is in network, but only as a secondary insurance, not a primary insurance (According to the receptionist that I spoke to it is office dependent, so they can make their own rules). So, what do veterans do when they do not have additional insurance? I think this is a very poor stance when your duties are to help. You only help when it benefits you as the Doctor. What a work-around to allow this organization to charge more for service. I know that doctors who support military veterans take more of a loss. It's a given but when you say you do but there's a catch, you are just spitting in the face of those who served to allow you to skate around the issue of possibly taking less money for the same payment. This is just so frustrating to know that I pay a lot for my military "Tri-Care Prime" insurance. More than most who may be transiting through this office (if they pay anything at all) but only to be told your second rate. Pathetic! I'm sure you have the ability to find my name. I spent close to 30 minutes pre-filling out docs to be prepared the day of the appointment. I showed up early an after check in waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. I even checked because 6 people that came in after me we sent back. A couple completed their visit and left before I was sent back. After I was sent back I was informed that it would be another 20-30 minutes before I saw the doctor. At this point I elected to get up and leave. I was asked if I wanted to call back to reschedule to which I declined. They obviously have too many patients if the wait times are this lengthy. I'm sure from the other review that they are fine doctors especially considering the patient load but to have this experience is rude and dis-courteous. I wouldn't dream of showing up to any appointment late like this.

I would like to start this review by stating that I have a disfigured result from rhinoplasty…read morerevision surgery February 2022 with Dr. Colin Pero. I am just writing my review in 2025 because I was still under his care, post-surgery visits until March 2025 when I stopped because my nose was not improving it was looking worse. Dr. Pero said rhinoplasty revisions take longer to heal so I trusted him. I was getting steroid shots administered; the last steroid shot was in March 2025. In my opinion, I was given steroid shots to appease me. Dr. Pero did not take pictures to track progress during my office visits while administering steroid shots. I was never told that I could have a negative outcome from the rhinoplasty revision during any office visit or before surgery. I have a disfigured, curved nose, and loss of upper lip muscle. The surgery was a revision of his own work, rhinoplasty in 2018. The revision was supposed to only correct the tip area because it did not hold its shape. I have had consultations with top plastic surgeons in Dallas and Beverly Hills, and they do not want to touch my nose because of the disfigurement. I appreciate their honesty and transparency during the consultations. I was glad to receive confirmation that my radixx (bridge) area was changed during Dr. Pero's rhinoplasty revision that altered my appearance. I do not know what my next steps are on this journey; however, I plan to share my journey publicly on my social media platforms where I can say and show more. I'm not alone, I saw a review, posted 10 months ago on Yelp stating "The rhinoplasty was also a complete failure. He made my nose huge, crooked, and deformed." See photos I have edited my review to include the following after Dr. Pero's reply. I would like to reiterate that I was never informed of a possible negative outcome during consultation or before surgery. During a phone conversation with Dr. Pero after I stopped going to him, he stated that "he made aware of the risk before I went under for surgery but they give me something that makes you forget Retrograde, it makes you forget the last five minutes". I can prove what I am stating. I would also like to state that I had a rhinoplasty in 2012 because I wanted the hump removed in my nose. In 2018, I was recommended to Dr. Pero for deviated nasal septum surgery and elected to have rhinoplasty. I did not go to Dr. Pero to correct a previous surgery. The rhinoplasty was also a complete failure. He made my nose huge, crooked and deformed. The grafts he placed to fix the nasal valve collapse are misplaced and too thick. You can see every graft through my skin. I hate to go out any more and pictures are awful. Avoid this doctor at all costs and don't belive him when he tells you he can give a beautiful outcome for rhinoplasty.

As far as quality of care, Dr. Gamble was arrogant and insulting to me. I told him I had sleep apnea and asked if the breathing machine could be causing the irritation and bleeding I was having. The inside of my nose was raw and I had tiny pieces of what appeared to be cartilage in the blood. He told me to stop picking my nose and use a cream he prescribed. I don't pick my nose but I did use the cream according to his directions. I returned for follow up with my husband to let him see that his suggestions were not working. He spoke to me in a very condescending manner and insulted me by insisting that I was picking my nose. At the time of the second visit, I no longer had insurance, being in a waiting period for new insurance. By this time I was having considerable pain and there seemed to be a lot of erosion in my left nostril. He said I would need surgery but we would have to wait until my insurance "kicked in". He was very cavalier, as if it was my problem and refused to put me on a payment plan. I went to another ENT in Frisco who determined that I needed nasal reconstruction. He performed the surgery and found a polyp which he biopsied. It was cancerous. I had radiation treatment and follow-up. Thankfully, I left Dr.Gamble and sought out another doctor. Who needs an arrogant, insulting, and disinterested doctor like Dr. Gamble? I have healed and have checkups to stay healthy.

His assistant comes in and has me sign some paperwork without fully explaining what the procedure was and states that the form is if the doctor needs to bill your insurance for any reason. Before I saw the doctor, I had to fill out a real long questionnaire asking about my history and give my insurance. The doctor comes in and asks may he look inside my nose. I said okay. He uses some long instrument looks in my nose for less than 1 minute. I come to find out that is called a nasal Endoscopy when I get my nearly $250. Dr. Mehendale decides he wants to treat me for sinusitis and put me on meds. Mind you, I have been treated for sinusitis countless times by doctors with no success. I didn't want drugs. I wanted a permanent solution and my hearing addressed. He tells that we will do that next time. The appointment with just him lasted about 5 minutes because in my estimation this doctor is only interested in billing as many patients as he can in an hour. The minute you get a bill, his company will send you 4 reminders before the 30 day billing cycle if up. This billing and check in office looks like a car dealership with numerous stations waiting to check you in, bill you, and check you out. I have nothing good to say about this establishment. There disclosure form states that this establishment does not verify benefits at the time of service. How sloppy is set when you set an appointment at least a month in advance. I would not recommend this doctor's office to a man of the street. I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything like this before. I am extremely dissatisfied with this practice. Word to the wise, do not just look at the google reviews. You should always look at the Yelp reviews as they are always more accurate in my opinion.
