It actually sounds better than when I got it new, nearly 40 years ago. All done at a very reasonable price. He was also very patient in explaining the inner workings, so I learned a lot. This past year I've had a thing for purchasing copper jewelry- most bracelets from South Korea, Mexico City, Tijuana and Mt. Charleston. Wondered if anyone ever made copper necklaces. I saw a few vendors that had thick linked chains. I bought the medium $45 length- tax is high in New Orleans. Far cry from dainty but copper is supposed to be good for arthritis and health. Ok let's see.

But this time around, it was just a bunch of poorly curated junk. The way things were displayed was poor, just unorganized, requiring you to dig around. It feels overwhelming going in here. Previously, I felt like I was on a treasure hunt, but this time around, I was feeling anxiety going through all the stuff. They do have old typewriters and old phones though, at decent price (around $115-175 for typewriters, and $25 for the old phones). I thought those were the coolest items. But honestly, they didn't even have the cute charm I was hoping for. Some of the typewriters did have handles, which was great if you wanted to carry it on your flight back home. But, you couldn't take the lid off...just a bummer. Will forever continue to search for the vintage typewriter and phone.

First ever review I've left anywhere, for anything. I was extremely impressed by the repair performed here. I brought in my Mini-KP: one of the RCA inputs was damaged as was the headphone output. The dude (forgot his name) repaired it while I waited *in front of me.* Seems like a minor deal, but it's indicative of honesty, which is a big deal in electronic/auto/anything repairs. Took him 15-20 minutes, and he charged me $10! Way less than you would normally expect to pay for electronics repair. Very fair, very honest, very pleased. read more

I recently purchased a lap steel guitar at Bywater Music and could not be happier! Paul the owner, has some one of a kind pieces in this shop and is very friendly and patient. He even set the guitar up for me and cleaned it up really nice before I walked out of the store with it!!!! love it, and am extremely happy with the service and the product!!!! He said that he did not usually engage in trades, but without hesitation he said sure and let me pick out 9 used cds for a straight trade. It took awhile to go through the shop's jumbled collection of used cds, but I ultimately succeeded. Overall a pleasant experience, although I will say that the vast majority of the used cds he had for me to choose from were not to my liking.

She went in to spend her birthday money and left shortly after because Guy with Hair followed her around the store like she was planning an elaborate heist. She's 13. Her crime was wanting to shop.
