The questionnaire also allows Carol to get to know us and pull together a picture of who we are as a couple. She then used the questionnaire and provided a full outline of our ceremony. My (now) husband and I, read this out loud and were able to imagine our ceremony. Carol did an amazing job representing our story. Day of Rehearsal, she was orderly and guided us through with ease. We were able to work through any kinks and ask questions. Day of the wedding, she truly brought the magic! She has such charm and wit. I have waited months to write this review as I was hopeful that Nick would follow through and…read moreresolve things. Unfortunately, that has not happened so I think it's important I share my experience with others who are looking for a photographer for their special occasions/events. We hired Nick to photograph our family for a special trip we took to Lake Tahoe to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. Nick was responsive when I reached out about the shoot and was very pleasant the day of the shoot. The issue began when we received the photos. One of the most important photos from the whole shoot was my mom with her grandkids, and there are port-a-potties visible in the background of all of those photos. I saw them during the shoot and pointed them out, but Nick assured me they were not in the photos. I emailed him to let him know we were not happy with those photos (I was actually very surprised he would even send them to me like that to begin with), and I asked if there was any way the port-a-potties could be edited out. He was unresponsive. It took four emails over the course of eight weeks before he responded. He was very kind in that email and apologized for the delayed response. He assured me that he would "work to make sure everything is right." That was at the end of September. After two more months and three additional follow-up emails, it seems that he will not be making good on his promise to make things right. At the very least, I would have appreciated him letting me know when I first emailed about the issue that he could not or would not correct it. That would have given me the opportunity to find someone else to help us instead of waiting four months with nothing to show for it. Another thing to keep in mind if you have young kids: He was very kind and patient with our rowdy group of kids, but he didn't have bubbles or anything along those lines to help get the little ones' attention. I've since done photos with another photographer who did that, and we ended up with a better end result.

Our first meeting with Nick happened to be at a bar so I knew I liked the guy from the start since he knows how to pick locations to meet that will make his customers feel comfortable. Not only was he extremely professional and organized, his prices were far better than many of his competitors. The engagement photos Nick took of my wife, Morgan, and I came out fantastic. Since I had proposed in Virginia City, we decided to take photos there. Nick, being local, knew the locations well, did some extra scouting and was more than prepared for the photo shoot. Not only were the photos excellent, but the day felt more as if we were hanging out with friends taking random photos rather than having someone staging us to take professional photos. Everything felt so natural and enjoyable thanks to Nick and his skills as a photographer. The wedding photos were equally as fun. Nick and his second shooter took thousands of photos at the wedding! Bits and pieces of the whole day were captured and every time my wife has a chance to show them off, she has been more than happy to do so as they are beautiful and a great memory of the first day of our new lives together. Nick is a crafty veteran in photo taking as he instantly went home after the wedding and backed up everything in multiple spots in order to not lose a single image. He had a plan of attack and executed it perfectly. Not only that, as we had our ceremony at a church and there are special rules for how little movement the priest wanted, he made sure to verify exactly where he could be during the ceremony to get photos and not disturb the ceremony. He truly did a wonderful job and we couldn't be more pleased for selecting him to document our beautiful and joyous wedding.
