This little store has a large selection of taffy. It wasn't being made on-site when we visited, but we were told it is all made fresh, and it tasted that way. The lady working at the store when we visited was very nice and helpful and offered us free samples, too. There are lots of other candies and chocolates available in the store, but we visited specifically for salt water taffy, and we weren't disappointed! This store is part of the Barefoot Landing complex. There is a large parking lot attached, and this store is along the edge, so it's easy to quickly visit this store specifically. read more

Came in to see what kind of sweets they had while shopping in the area, and we ended up getting several things. They make their own salt-water taffy, so we packed our own box. We then got a few other things, and the guy working the counter was very nice. After paying, we saw chocolate covered Nutter Butter cookies and we wanted to try one. The guy was very nice and gave us one, free of charge. If your are in the area and want some quality, hand made candy, you'll want to stop in. You can tell them the guy from Yelp sent you. read more

Amazing pralines! If you love raspberry, try the dark chocolate raspberry creme chocolates. They make salt water taffy on-site and will give you a piece of freshly pulled taffy. A great place to get a variety of excellent candies, fudge and pralines. No visit to the beach is complete without a visit here for me. Friendly, helpful staff. Don't forget the salt water taffy in a variety of flavors. You can get all of one kind, a mix of your favorites or a box to take home. read more

Love this little store! Fresh taffy & treats at great prices. It was truly more affordable than we had expected. I had to stop myself from buying everything.. although I wish I would've picked up a couple more things during our visit. The employees were super helpful and kind. Everything tasted great. This is my number one stop in Myrtle Beach. I don't want to admit how many pounds of taffy I bought, but let's just say they like having me as a customer. What makes Wee R Sweetz so cool is that they make taffy in front of you using antique machines. Kids love to watch as the taffy is being made, and they even throw you free samples to try! There are many flavors to choose from, priced by the pound. I am addicted to cinnamon and licorice! Wee R Sweetz also has a variety of fudge, chocolates, and candies, but I haven't tried them. You could go to one of those bargain places for a 3$ box of taffy, or you could go to a shop and pick out your own freshly made taffy. I opted for the latter. This cute little candy shop is home to what seems to be an antique taffy maker right on display. We were able to watch some fresh taffy being made the old fashioned way with samples! Aside from the great taffy they have an assortment of chocolates, soft fruit candies, and bin candies by the pound. The chocolate covered pretzels are fantastic and they have the candies that look like fruit slices in assorted flavors. There were also fun little surprises like sixlets and chocolate covered bugs. This is a great place to bring the kids, the staff is super friendly, but the prices are a little high. Not outrageous though. read more

Candy is always great. The lady behind the counter today was not. She waited until I spent over $40 in candy to tell me that I had to pay for two gummy's my 14 month old took out of the candy holders that are LOCATED AT CHILD LEVEL. Proceeds to tell my husband that our child's hands are not allowed in the containers. OBVIOUSLY. I guess she needed hearing aids because she somehow missed my husband's yells of "NO!". The way the situation was handled was not considered "Southern Charm". Will never return. read more

I'm sorry to say I bought vanilla fudge and pecan turtles today and both of them are terrible. The turtles were flavorless and the fudge had a terrible aftertaste to it. I have bought other things from here before and it was ok. Not sure what happened. read more

The five stars is for integrity and customer service. I left a one star review because I did not care for the fudge. then without even asking for a refund they called me and returned my money. I said I would not shop there again but now i certainly will buy their taffy which has great reviews. Businesses that operate with such integrity need to be rewarded. Please stop in and buy something. Tell them "Jenny crowe sent me" so they will know how much I appreciate a business that operates with old fashioned ethics like honesty, something that seems to be missing these days. read more

Accidently Vegan Friendly I wondered if their taffy and brittle was accidently vegan and went to their Facebook and messaged them. They answered very quickly and said their taffy was but brittle contains milk. So we visited their store and got a few of several flavors. If you miss vegan caramel, their new chocolate caramel taffy was really like a caramel. The taffy is nice and fresh and soft. Would be a fun place to visit with young kids. Friendly staff. read more

I have never had fresh taffy like this before. Walked in to check out the chocolate and the guy pulling the taffy just tosses me a fresh piece of taffy! It melted in my mouth. I immediately knew I had to buy some. I also got a chocolate covered nutter butter which was amazing! My sister bought a chocolate cover apple, which we split later that night, again perfection! Coming back to the beach in May and this will be a must stop for me!! read more

We visited this store today for the first time. The staff was great & the candy (so far) is awesome (unfortunately lol). We purchased several dog treats for my spoiled baby, a couple varieties of fudge & a couple varieties of chocolate pretzels. Although the treats taste great, I was motivated to write this review because of the staff. In addition to offering their opinions on favorites, which took some time because I had several questions, I appreciated that one of them also gave me a run-down of some great local stores too (for ex. a nearby tea & spice store). He only started working there yesterday (I am mad at myself for not asking his name) but he was personable & very willing to help. I truly appreciated that. I will definitely make the trip back to this store in the future and would recommend it to others. read more

This candy store provides an authentic local myrtle beach shop experience. The candy is good and moderately priced. The staff has a southern charm that really makes you consider adding "y'all" to your vernacular, but you don't because that would be a total poser move. My family and I originally went into We-R-Sweets on account of the warm and energetic staff tossing freshly made salt-water taffies to the customers inside-admittedly a very successful attention grabber. Upon entering Wee-R-Sweets you are immediately met with the enticing aroma and charm of an old fashioned candy shop. I was taken aback by the friendly staff who were crafting their delicious taffies on an antique taffy maker, which is entertaining to watch for all ages, and makes the already delightful act of purchasing candy even more fun. Aside from taffy, they have a wide selection of other handmade goodies that temp customers with there pleasing looks and sweet smell, they even have creative treats available for your pets. I left the store with all the excitement and wonder of a kid in a candy shop, literally. In the presence of other commercial candy stores using posters of scantily clad women to move product, stores like this are refreshing and encouraging.
