a display of sweets

This little store has a large selection of taffy. It wasn't being made on-site when we visited, but we were told it is all made fresh, and it tasted that way. The lady working at the store when we visited was very nice and helpful and offered us free samples, too. There are lots of other candies and chocolates available in the store, but we visited specifically for salt water taffy, and we weren't disappointed! This store is part of the Barefoot Landing complex. There is a large parking lot attached, and this store is along the edge, so it's easy to quickly visit this store specifically.

A very large selection of candy, and with fair prices for how touristy the area is. It's a cute shop with some vintage decorations and candies. It has a mix of candies and fudges, and no ice cream.

Great variety to satisfy your sweet craving. Fudge was very good. Lots of options to choose from. Friendly workers. Nice spacing to browse.

Amazing pralines! If you love raspberry, try the dark chocolate raspberry creme chocolates. They make salt water taffy on-site and will give you a piece of freshly pulled taffy. A great place to get a variety of excellent candies, fudge and pralines. No visit to the beach is complete without a visit here for me. Friendly, helpful staff. Don't forget the salt water taffy in a variety of flavors. You can get all of one kind, a mix of your favorites or a box to take home.

Love this little store! Fresh taffy & treats at great prices. It was truly more affordable than we had expected. I had to stop myself from buying everything.. although I wish I would've picked up a couple more things during our visit. The employees were super helpful and kind. Everything tasted great. Definitely a must shop place if you want goodies for yourself or souvenirs for others. I can't wait to visit again!

Homemade treats. We got the freshly made taffy and dark chocolate covered peanuts. The person working was the taffy maker. He shares some of the history of the place with us. If you are in the area stop in. Like every business they are having a hard time due to the COVID-19. They have hand sanitizer and mask were on the employees that were working. Stop in and support your local candy store.

You could go to one of those bargain places for a 3$ box of taffy, or you could go to a shop and pick out your own freshly made taffy. I opted for the latter. This cute little candy shop is home to what seems to be an antique taffy maker right on display. We were able to watch some fresh taffy being made the old fashioned way with samples! Aside from the great taffy they have an assortment of chocolates, soft fruit candies, and bin candies by the pound. The chocolate covered pretzels are fantastic and they have the candies that look like fruit slices in assorted flavors. There were also fun little surprises like sixlets and chocolate covered bugs. This is a great place to bring the kids, the staff is super friendly, but the prices are a little high. Not outrageous though.

Strawberry Taffy! A must have for a day at the beach!

Only got a Caramel Apple and a chocolate covered Oreo but both were great. 5 stars. Staff were fast and friendly.

BEWARE! This place sells "Labubus" for $25 each and they are telling their customers they are real…read moreeven though they are very obviously FAKE. My elderly aunt purchased 2 of them and unfortunately she didn't know any better, but the worker named Anna assured her they were 100% real. She was so excited thinking it was her lucky day, only to later realize she just spent $50 on LAFUFUS. Stop lying Anna. You know these are fake. Someone already left a review from 1 month ago which describes how you refunded them for the fake Labubu you sold them. So not only are you knowingly selling counterfeit goods but you are lying to your out-of-town customers to make a quit buck. Sickening! Notice the $24.99 sticker covering the bar code and how the receipt doesn't have a description of what was sold. This business SUGAR KINGDOM is going out of their way to deceive. We stopped by this morning hoping to speak to you about this but your doors were locked even though it was during your normal business hours. I'm sharing photos to show what was sold versus what an actual Labubu looks like. There's no excuse for selling these at $25 each when they are hardly worth $5. Maybe stick to selling overpriced candy, or if you're going to sell fake goods, at least be honest about it.

There is sweets from wall to wall and in every form imaginable. From candy to chocolate, fudge to ice cream they have it all. I do feel that at $6.99 per 1/2 pound is pretty steep IMO my kids loved the experience and it was cool looking all the way around. Seeing the old Alvin's word and seeing how much they did here to make it nice you know they did a ton of work. My favorite part is probably the floors though. The finish is truly trippy and whimsical and perfectly fits a kingdom of sugar. If they were clearer about which door to go in would be nice as well. For the parents it's an eh unless your a candy/sweets junky but for kids it's pretty cool. The jelly bean counter top was her favorite thing in the place. If you're in the area with nothing to do and love sugar this is the place for you!

And y'know what: you can't get "overwhelming" selections of spices, teas, and sugars virtually anywhere else, so that's a GOOD thing. Every one offers a glass jar that you can open to "smell" the sugar/tea/spice you're thinking of buying. In the case of the teas, they will make you a hot/iced version of the tea (and charge for it, but it's surprisingly affordable) to try as well. After awhile, all of the scents kinda blend together (especially for like, hickory or smoked scents), but it's super cool and a ridiculous level of selection. They have smaller pouches, larger bags, or containers/jars for most items, letting you buy smaller quantities to try. I wanna say smaller pouches were starting around $6 (September 2025). They had quite a few blends of demarara sugars that are going to be great for cocktail garnishing. (Salted caramel sugar? Burnt espresso sugars? mmmm!) And my meat-loving friends picked up a ton of different stuff. Expect to spend a bit in here. There are SO many things to see. The basics are divided into various walls (teas separate from sugars, etc.), but their display tables of seasonal merch in the middle of the store require some careful perusal too. Staff was friendly, and they definitely know their stuff, but they clearly know people get overwhelmed and left us alone. I did not expect to pop into the store, but honestly, I'm super glad I did.
