My wife and I popped in here after seeing this place on Atlas Obscura. The safe was super friendly and happy to let us try a couple of flavors. I quickly made my decision. I went with Oatmeal Cream Pie and Moose Tracks, in a cup. These two flavors were so tasty, rich in flavors and creamy. My wife ordered a cone with two different flavors, and she also loved what she had. Sadly, I don't remember the flavors she ordered. Our total was $14. We think the price was spot on for some delicious ice cream and the amount you got. This location has a decent sized seating area. We knew it was a good place because when we pulled in, there were three fire trucks parked, and the firefighters were finishing up their ice cream. We will be back when we are in the area. read more

Kirks Ice Cream Parlor is simply awesome! We tried Painters and were not impressed at all but Kirks was amazing. They had tons of flavors including a blueberry cheesecake, moose tracks, raspberry swirl , butter pecan , coffee and a double chocolate brownie! We know great ice cream and this place is not going to disappoint anyone. The waffle chip sundae was fantastic, the worker recommended a raspberry swirl ice cream and it was a strong recommendation. Definitely get a sundae or the banana split ! Pass on painters and cruise to Kirks! Make sure that you don't need to use the rest room , it is awful and definitely not cleaned frequently enough which was shocking. read more

Great ice cream here! Its a little pricey for a single serving but thats all you need! Even the smallest size is pretty big! They were extremely busy when we went and only had 3 workers but they worked through the line really efficiently and accurately. Almost a disaster!!! We saw great ratings for this place and decided to give it a try. However, since my grandson has a dairy allergy, we inquired ahead of time to make sure they had dairy free options. When my daughter ordered for him, she asked several times for the diary free options and chose the rainbow sherbert. She saw that the server was, without hesitation, about to use the same scoop as they use for the ice cream and reminded him that he needs to be completely diary free. When my 10 year old grandson took one bite, he immediately started feeling an allergic reaction coming on and threw his sherbert in the trash. He started coughing and was so scared he was going to the hospital. He drank some water and I immediately went inside to state that the rainbow sherbert could not have been dairy free. The young manager was so unsure of herself, first she said it was, then said it was not. HOW COULD YOU SERVE SOMEONE WHO HAS A DAIRY ALLERGY A PRODUCT THAT YOU'RE NOT SURE OF! He was in the hospital just last week with an IV after being rushed in an ambulance! While we were sitting outside, we went back into the shop and asked for Benadryl. He took two tabs and drank some water. When he felt stabIlized, we headed back to our condo where he threw up the contents of his stomach. We are now waiting to see if he needs medical assistance. HOW DARE THESE YOUNG KIDS OPERATE A BUSINESS WITHOUT THE PROPER TRAINING WITH REFERENCE TO ALLERGIES? People can die from analphylactic shock. We are beside ourselves that this can happen where young kids are serving people food that can potentially kill another person without even a second thought! We got the recommendation from Corey, at the Hook and Barrel, when we mentioned we were in the mood for ice cream. This is the absolute BEST ice cream I've ever had! It is so soft and creamy and just totally delicious. We had the butter pecan and rocky road on a 'dream cone' (chocolate-dipped waffle cone), and PB & chocolate with pralines and cream. The chocolate was so rich and smooth and not to be too corny, but I would actually describe the pralines and cream as delectable!
