I do not recommend them. Service was relatively fine. Pricey but I was typically ok paying it for the results. 1- Be prepared for the constant upsells. That is not my problem. 2- I don't think it's asking too much to get a call from a manager when a service does not work. I put in requests and they never called. It's only the techs that show up for the work or to upsell you. Or you can call in and speak to the reception desk. 3 - We finally had a minor billing dispute and I finally cut their service. Funny enough, I'm getting phone calls now that they finally want to speak with me. Buyer be warned. You will only speak to junior staff members if there is ever an issue. That goes nowhere. I'd rather deal with a shop that manages customer relationships professionally as issues will inevitably arise. read more

Be cautious: My experience with The Weed Man started off positive but quickly turned into a major disappointment. The initial service was good; however, as time went on, their visits continued, and they ended up overspraying and overkilling my lawn -- spraying both the weeds and the grass when they were only supposed to spray my rock bed. I called the company, and Hayden came out, confirming that there was indeed an overkill and promising to schedule a reseeding. On the next visit, instead of reseeding, they applied even more weed killer. My lawn has never looked this bad. I requested a refund for that visit, as I believed the technician was there to reseed, not to apply more chemicals. I later spoke with Tarissa via email. While she did cancel my contract as requested, she refused to honor the promise to reseed my lawn. They are quick to take your money but refuse to honor their word or make things right. Overall, I'm very disappointed with how this situation was handled and will not be recommending or using this company in the future. read more

I was relatively satisfied with The Weedman Denver service during the first year, despite some challenges with thistle in my backyard. I was advised to be patient, as it would take another year to see results in managing the thistle. After several additional "free" weed applications to try to eliminate the thistle, these treatments did not seem effective. At the beginning of the second year, I started having problems with my grass. After a fertilizer treatment, my lawn was lush and green, but soon after, yellow patches began to appear. The technician performing my treatments informed me that I had a grub problem. I had never encountered such an issue in the 40+ years I had owned my home, so I sought information about grubs. Ultimately, Weedman admitted that I did not have a grub problem. They then diagnosed a mite issue, which I could not confirm. Since I had prepaid for fertilizer and weed control treatments for the entire season, I had no choice but to complete the second year of treatments. When I decided it was time to explore other options, I called to cancel my "contract" with Weedman in the third year. During the call, I encountered a rude customer service representative who tried to dissuade me from canceling and abruptly hung up when she failed to do so. A day later, I received a call from a man who claimed to be a resolution specialist. He was quite rude while trying to offer me reduced contract fees and a senior technician for my treatments. He insisted that it was a one-time offer and that I would not have the chance to accept it later. I tried to explain that I planned to consult with CSU Extension regarding my thistle problem and consider other lawn service options. He seemed indignant that I wouldn't accept the significantly reduced service fees and told me he had spent 40 minutes on the phone with me, but that I wasn't listening. I became so frustrated with his aggressive and lengthy sales pitch that I asked him to stop talking and allow me to respond. He became belligerent, and it became clear to me that I would never use this company again. I would caution anyone to think twice before choosing their services. read more

Thomas quickly identified my lawns spidermite problem that was killing grass on the edges of warm rock and cement borders. My lawn recovered quickly with the Weedman's spidermite treatment, a little extra watering, treating the rocks with insecticide on my own, light manual dethatching, a light layer of turf starter soil, and reseeding the problem areas. My lawn became the best on the block while my neighbors continued to struggle without the benefit of the Thomas's diagnosis and Weedman treatments. read more
