Often I run in quickly on the weekend to buy Zingermans bread, pick up fresh eggs or grab a gourmet cheese. I am not allowed in the danger zone... past the counter you will find kitchen gadgets, gifts, household items, clothing, purses, fun art and all nature of hipster deco items. It's a great store at both locations. Of course call and check that they are open. It is really a weekend place. With limited winter hours. Love to support this local business! read more

Every time I'm in the area, I stop by for the great card selection and candles and unique women's clothing that, really, I've only ever found in San Francisco. Billowy, stylish, comfortable. During the holidays, it's a good spot to find home and garden gifts of every price point for people who have everything AND great taste. Even the fresh and packaged foods remind me of the Bay Area. Friendly staff. New setting in the City Flats Hotel is large and charming. Surprised to discover parking in the rear. I like the steady hours. I like that the owner is often present. I like that I feel appreciated as a customer. read more

I priced out a few shops in town and for what you get, The Flower Niche seemed the most reasonably priced. I called them on Friday to place an order for the FTD stunning beauty bouquet to be delivered on Tuesday for our anniversary. On Monday evening, Elisa was told to come in at 2pm the next day for a follow up appointment. I had to call up almost at close to ask if they could make sure the delivery was by 1:30pm so she could make her appointment and receive the flowers. The delivery person came early, and she was very happy. Lilies are her favorite so the Stargazer centerpiece was a nice touch. $70 for flowers is a lot for me. They must be worth it as that is the going rate with delivery fees, and for her smile, I have no regrets. I do appreciate the overall service and accommodations and would say 4.5 out if 5 only for the price because service was great. This is a smaller shop over by where I used to live and I like supporting local smaller businesses. They were the best price in town and easy to work with.
