I had to explain to him that after my last surgery he had to drain the site several times and wanted to know if we could put a drain in for this surgery. He point-blank said he did not have the prior records right now and did not have an answer for that question. I have now been waiting two weeks to have a lumpectomy (with positive cancer biopsy) scheduled and when I called to see what was going on, they really couldn't give me an answer other than with Dignity taking over it was all just a mess and to expect a call from the scheduler tomorrow. - - Which is exactly what they told me a week ago when I called. This is such a predicament, as I do know Dr. Dixon does great work, but I have been left in a very unnecessary and unsettling situation.

We started talking about what each other did for work. He told me he was a psychologist specializing in men's issues among other things. At that time, I owned my business for 18 years and knew I wanted a change. With the downturn of the economy and just wanting to do something different I had very high anxiety about making a change in my life. I was seeing another therapist at that point and wasn't happy with the results. Dr. Reimer set up an initial session to see if we'd be a good match. In just the first few minutes I felt very comfortable and could see Dr. Riemer was different than any other psychologist I've been to before. I really felt heard and understood. As the weeks went by, every session was so helpful. I really liked how he incorporated different modalities when helping me. Sessions varied using cognitive behavior, dream analysis, role playing, visualization and more. I never knew therapy could be like that. Although my first sessions were about making a career change, my sessions got deeper and helped me in my self confidence, issues with my parents, friends and relationships. We even had a session where my parents came in to do a session with me. We had major breakthroughs from just that one session that have lasted for over 6 years now. Dr. Reimer's prices are not the lowest in town but are very fair for such an experienced and amazing professional. I liked the fact that he didn't book back to back appointments so he could give me the option to do a double session at times where I was really having a breakthrough. As a result of our work together I had the confidence to start a new business in a new city, get off anxiety medications and just be confident in life. New insurance...new doctor. Sounds like fun, huh?…read more For a couple years I have been going to the Airport Urgent Care in Oxnard and had mixed experiences. When I got my new insurance I had to choose a new doctor and Dr. Alcocer with the Spanish Hills Medical group was recommended by my wife's doctor. I was a little worried when I called in mid January to make an appointment and they had to schedule me in mid February. They explained later on that one of the doctors in the group had just retired and that the other doctors had to make up for all those extra patients. They gave me a call the day before to confirm my appointment and told me to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out a stack of paperwork and then waited to be called. They called me in about 5 minutes later. Woah. 5 minutes...that's awesome. I had an awesome nurse who took all my vitals and got me ready for my appointment and then about 5 minutes later I was visited by Dr. Alcocer. He had an amazing demeanor. He seemed like he was not in a rush at all...he acted like he wanted to know everything about me and what he could do to help me with my regular issues like my asthma. He gave me all the prescriptions that I needed with 6 months of refills so I didn't have to worry about waiting for my pharmacy to call in for authorization. That was such a relief from my previous doctor. All in all the whole appointment took maybe 20 minutes, 30 minutes tops. I was completely impressed with the whole experience and I look forward to having the Spanish Hills Medical Group and Dr. Alcocer on my side when it comes to my health. :0)

What kind of medical professional would decline services to a patient for not being vaccinated? Dr. Neira is a great doctor but unfortunately, I had to switch to another clinic where they are willing to see me in person. This is just ridiculous and inhumane.
