This was a first visit for my mom to this location with her new primary care provider. The building has plenty of parking as well as ADA access. The suite we were going to is located on the third floor as well as the lab. When we entered, we received a friendly greeting by the front desk clerk and she checked us in. We were quickly brought into exam and after vitals and a few questions the provider joined us. The exam room was spacious, bright and clean. There were two chairs for my Mom and I to sit. The experience was very pleasant for my Mom. She liked all the staff very much. From my POV all staff was kind and very professional. I have had several GPs for various periods of time throughout my life. They are not at all the same. So, I wanted to take a minute to praise my GP of the last few years, Dr. Jeffrey Caputo. He is knowledgeable, generous with his time and is, apparently, looking after my interests even when I'm not even aware of it. Case in point; Dr. Caputo read my blood tests and found that my Levothyroxine dose may have been too high. He was correct. My endocrinologist, whose responsibility it should have been make such a discovery, wasn't watching. I have other examples as well. I "shopped" for my GP and felt Dr. Caputo would be the best match. All of the physicians and auxiliary workers are friendly and professional. I had a particularly good experience with Dr. Li, she is so sweet and has an amazing vibe. Today approximately 4:25 pm on Monday, 10th a substitute lab tech Asia, poked me so hard and so unnecessary I had to tell her to take the large needle out. (I have a photo) she was to in advance I have very small veins and did drink my water prior to blood draw, which I need to have regularly, I know the protocol. I said that was un called for her to poke me that hard and I asked her did she realize how hard she poked me and size of needle and her response was- she laughed and said "how was she suppose to know how painful it was". My arm is still hurting and I'm sure I'll have a nice black and blue mark to show Annabel the tech who is normally there if I return, because I had to have her stop the draw after repeating multiple times because she kept asking me with a smirk on her face you sure you want me to stop? I reported to administration and I certainly hope they have a discussion with her. It's not funny and what on earth is she in the field with that type of behavior. She's the type that really scares people like me, keep her out of the hospital, away from kids and elderly and nursing homes please. It's not funny what she did or her behavior of how to handle procedures taking blood. You communicate if there are any areas, see if the area is good with previous draws with the patient and ask if ok as she's doing it instead she just jabbed and laughed. Zero compassion that is the biggest issue I have with her. Honest mistakes happen being I have small veins but this was evil and deliberate. I wrote her name and face and pray I or anyone I love and care for never cross this woman's path. UPDATE: the next morning. You can forget it.my arm is bruised so bad and sore when I woke up. And the vein is swollen with a knot I'll never return to this location again. You can thank your tech Asia. read more

Listened carefully, asked great questions, was incredibly informed, seemed interested in helping me with all issues and medications. I've had really great experiences here. Having a PPO but having the option to meet w a group of different doctors and in different locations based on availability is like the best of both worlds - PPO & Kaiser. Each dr has given me the time to explain and ask questions without me feeling rushed. Wonderful bedside manor. The blood labs are on a walk-in basis and I've never had to wait long. Actually, I've never had to wait long for anything. I appreciate the ask to pay the co-pay now or be billed as I hate being billed, but appreciate that may be best for some. Calls are returned promptly and their app is great for accessing documents, medical history and test results. All in all, I feel lucky to have ended up w Facey. I strongly recommend and actually, my entire group of friends and their families go there as well read more

I recently decided to change doctors because my PCP did not have a kind & loving (or even tiny) bedside manner and other reasons I shan't get into here. I started my search and I decided to go with a doctor in this medical group (Dr. Jeffrey M. Caputo). UNBELIEVABLE bedside manner, plus he and his assistant Khaliah are SO organized and thorough. I was in shock (and still am) at such caring service. It was an extended appointment because I was a new patient - it lasted 40-45 minutes!! A doctor that actually listened to me and spoke to me like he really cared?? Who knew? :) :) The rest of the staff were happy & caring also, so kudos to them! They are practicing physical distancing, staff & patients wear masks, plus they take your temp before entering the office. (Love all this!) If you want one of the best doctors in the land, search no more, as I have found him! read more

I rarely write reviews but I had to today because I am just so impressed with Facey Medical. My daughters and I are new patients at this office and I am so happy I chose them. Every time I call, there is a friendly voice on the phone. And when you get there, every single staff member seems to be happy to see you. They have a great, positive attitude! I was there today and even my 19 year old daughter mentioned how nice and friendly the nurse was when she was getting her stats before the doctor came in. There is also not endless waiting before being called, which can be so annoying. Even after the nurse leaves after taking the blood pressure and everything, the doctor comes in pretty quickly, which I am not used to. We see Dr. Janet Li and she has been amazing so far. She takes her time and addresses all of our questions and really seems to care! I highly recommend if you are looking for a new doctor or medical group. Very satisfied!!! read more

The front desk here are total idiots. My appointment was at 11am but I was told to wait in my car till they texted me letting me it was ok to come in. 11:15 rolled around and no text so I called and they reception answered "oh I guess you can come in now" It's now 11:45, mind you my appointment was at 11am. Had an appointment at a certain time and showed up 10 minutes late. Immediately the rude receptionists said I probably won't be seen. After sitting around for 30 minutes they told me I had to reschedule because the doctor can't see me. I was like seriously for 10 minutes late and the proceeded to state I need to make another appointment. When we needed to get a referral for speech therapy for our toddler, we were told by Dr. Patton and her staff that it was not urgent and it was put on the bottom of some pile of papers and nobody would probably ever get to it unless I kept calling and bugging and it took literally a month for them to just get the paperwork in after continuous phone calls and hassle. The staff is horrible and Dr. Patton actually called me after I requested to say that this isn't a priority for them. Thanks a lot! The staff is totally unresponsive and you have to keep calling and pestering them to get anything done even when they say they will give you a call and let you know as soon as they have your paperwork ready. And why can't they send information in the mail?? I get medical information in the mail all the time but they make ridiculous excuses to make you come to their office for no reason. so tired of this constant BS. read more

I recently had to switch from a PPO to an HMO. Dr Nancy Tsoi from UCLA off First St is a such a caring doctor and I'll truly miss her and the way she treats all her patients. Just wish they took HMO! That being said I had to switch doctors and went to Facey Medical Group. I needed a referral for a follow up breast exam and get a referral for ultrasound/mammogram. They got me in with Dr Maeve Lin Wei which was out right rude to me but to the nurses as well! After examining me she had asked why I had a scar on my breast I told her and flat out laughed and continued laughing even AFTER the examine! I was shocked the way I was treated. I'm pretty out spoken and was surprised in myself for not ripping her a new one! I guess being in shock would do that to you. Horrible bed side manner. My experience happened in 2014 and was traumatic, I am just now comfortable enough to speak up about it and leave a review. I was 18 years old and ate a THC laced chocolate bar, I soon felt terrible and panicked, I had my mom take me to my doctor to make sure I was okay. They checked my blood pressure as soon as I came in, I puked all over the floor. They asked me what I ate and I told them exactly what it was, Marijuana THC laced chocolate. I have NO ALLERGIES. The nurse confirmed to me that all my vitals were fine and she did not find anything wrong with me, which is good! My usual doctor was not in at the moment so the nurse decided to shoot me with an epi pen! I did NOT NEED THAT. I was too high to realize what was happening. My mom agreed to it because she trusted that the nurse knew what she was doing. Since that point on from having an epi pen shot in my leg for NO reason, my body high lasted nearly 2 years non stop, psychologically I had not been the same for years. My sense of touch was delayed, I sometimes felt I wasnt in my own body. This is not normal for a Kiva chocolate bar that people take for a fun night, it is the fact I had the epipen shot that messed things up. The treatment I received was a careless, rushed decision that has given me ptsd. Too bad it has taken this long for the medical field to start studying and understanding marijuana. My friends told me they would of just had me eat a big meal and take a nap and I would of been fine the next day. read more

I can not say enough great things about this place. Dr. Downs is really something special anyone who can treat my father must be. He never really liked doctors and getting him to visit one for his chronic ailments was always such a struggle. Every adult knows how stubborn their parents can be. But thanks to Dr. Downs his quality of life has improved so much. It's like he's a totally different person. He's so much happier and more importantly healthier. Every time I see him he just raves about what an amazing physician Dr. Donald Downs is and how well his treatments are going. The front office staff at this location lie and are extremely unorganized. They lost my DL then tried to blame me and my kids. Very unprofessional and rude. Office manager tried to make it better but still wouldn't take blame. We found a new doctor because of 2 different situations at Facey Simi Valley where they misplaced and lost important documents of mine!! Let's start off with I LOVE my daughters doctor Dr Patten has been her dr since 1 years old . She in the last year or so moved to a new office (Facey) I was so happy for her. But have to say the office hasn't been so great, there is no sense of urgency. My daughter needed to be seen right away was super sick and I got we can see you in 2 days! My children and I have been Facey patients for several years. We have been to several sites Canyon Country, Valencia , Porter Ranch, Mission Hills, and Simi Valley. Of all the locations I must say that although I love the Simi Valley office their staff is really unprofessional. The Assistants are very loud. During several visits the conversations were very inappropriate for an professional setting. The Medical Assistant that assisted me was very apologetic as soon as we entered the exam room she apologized for the noise. I also found it odd that even as I was standing there as the medical assistant was checking me out the level of conversation continued. I love my Doctor and his assistant and for that reason alone I will continue to visit the Simi Valley office. However, the staff could be better. read more

It's unfortunate that there is little concern from staff when trying to get a refill on my medication. I called to make an appointment for a refill because my pharmacy has tried to be in contact with this location 3 times to authorize my refill and have been unsuccessful. The staff member Jaclyn, asked me if I was completely out of medicine and I let her know I was. She informed me that the soonest I could come into the office was two weeks. I asked her what I am supposed to do in the mean time, she suggested I call Porter Ranch to get an earlier appointment. I called Porter Ranch and was informed that I could have an appointment in a week, but they would not guarantee that I would get my medication refilled because I do not have an established relationship with any Provider at this location. This facility is pulling a bait and switch with covered California, inc. they are the only Blue shield hmo facility available for the SImi valley area. They are unable to take new patients unless you want to use one of their frequent turn around hires. Most Doctors available to see new patients only work part time or are new to the group. Also, they refer patients to urgent care and emergency rooms costing you a 150% increase in out of pocket expense. They do not respect the urgent care/requests if further immediate tests are done. They also refuse paperwork if the nurse can't read the doctors writing/requests for future tests. I'm due for a ct scan to diagnose fainting and I have yet to hear from a doctor within this facility. Why become a doctor if you have no compassion. read more

Here's my experience with Facey Simi Valley office. I've been a patient of Dr Caputo and his nurse Khalia for several years now. Dr Caputo and nurse are hands down thee best out that office. I've gone through a rough patch with my health to say the least , these two humans have shown compassion, concern, and have eased my way not only when at the hospital but also at the office whenever i need anything they don't hesitate to help me. Dr Caputo is a good dr he really knows what he's doing. I know my health and well being is his priority. He literally sits down , listens to what I'm going through and is always so helpful. He definitely has bedside manner. Too say I'm lucky to have found them is an understatement. You know now a days finding a good dr and nurse is almost as shopping and finding a good car! Lol literally it's like that! Not all drs know what there doing and not all drs have bedside manner and that's truth! I've seen a dr who honest to god she googled a patients symptoms ‍ so it's good to have a caring dr. These two professionals work hand in hand to care for their patients. Oonnn another note! Friday afternoon I had an immunization appointment with my nurse , everything was flowing good as always I was called in on time greeted and made comfortable by Khalia. The anticipation of having to get an injection is nerve racking. When she administered the immunization I was expecting pain (due to the type of medication) but Khalia has the softest hand that I didn't even feel a thing! She was done in a millisecond literally. Well as she was discharging me there comes a woman LVN nurse named Jacqueline........... AND WOW! Her attitude and body language was foul asf! She approached the nursing station holding a red folder (she was about to call in a patient) this nurse gives a flying duck who's around! She literally rolled her eyes , placed her hand on one hip and said Khalia !!!! did you call the patient back, I left a sticky note on your desk because patient is requesting a call back. Khalia response was which sticky note are you talking about I have many notes on my desk. What patient are you talking about. This lvn again rolled her eyes walked up to the door to call her patient in as she's calling the patient she says in a rude and loud manner ohh Khalia I'm sure that sticky note didn't just walk away from your desk. It's not like you return any of your patients calls any way. So it's nothing new here. Mind you I was being discharged while she went on with her rant. This lvn had a patient walking in circles confused on weather to go in or wait in the lobby for her to finish with her trash talking. My jaw dropped! How could a "professional " be so ducking rude in front of patients!? This lvn Jacqueline really needs to learn customer service! She needs more than anything anger management! I've never experienced anything like that! Khalia held her composure. I felt as if Jacqueline's intentions was to make Khalia feel less than! That is horrible ! This woman feels as if she's better than! Nonetheless I'll make sure when I come back not to allow Jacqueline near me! Would you imagine with her careless attitude what she might do? To say the least this LVN really made me upset ! She put her patient and I in a very awkward situation! My face felt hot and I felt anxious I seriously thought she was about to go off! that's how angry her eyes looked. Even wearing a mask I was able to tell she was angry and annoyed! Why is she working in the medical field blows my mind! I will take this to management! Adults need to be held accountable for being bully's! To say she has anger issues is an understatement!
