Outstanding/Professional Service I shopped at this store for Instacart. Unfortunately, one of the items (Wegmans Italian Classics Uncured Pepperoni Thick Cut) was out-of-stock. I asked a member of the Deli department if any were available. The gentleman looked for the item in the freezer. He did not find the pepperoni. However, another member found the item and quickly prepared the item. As I checked out all my items and left the store, a third employee wished me a nice day. We recently visited the Wegman's in Abingdon. This was my first time in a Wegman's and my mind was blown. This was much more than a grocery store. You can purchase anything having to do with food or garden here. They were reasonably priced as well with sales here and there. Amazing meat, seafood, deli, bakery sections, great home decor shopping as well. Huge, clean, vast selections of whatever you're looking for or didn't know you were looking for. A whole different shopping experience. Changes the game for me. read more

We ordered Wegmans catering for our Easter lunch and it was the absolute best experience! We ordered the pinwheels, croissant sandwiches, subs, fruit bowl, deviled eggs, and carrot cake and all of it was fresh and so delicious! I shop here quite frequently. It is always very well stocked and the ready made meals are excellent. I also like the bakery selections. I have ordered sandwiches from the deli a handful of times and they are always made quickly and accurately. I think the store is well maintained and clean. It is an extremely large store so pretty sure you will find what you are looking for when shopping. My only negative comment is that the prices are in some areas are very high. While the food is good you will pay a high price for most of the bakery goods and the same with the deli and soups. While the food is excellent and I do splurge from time to time it is too pricey for regular purchases. read more

Despite living 15 minutes away from the store and having many other grocery stores closer to me, I believe that Wegmans' products are of superior quality. Their customer service surpasses that of most, if not all, other grocery stores in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the stockers, produce department, floor managers, and other employees, as I'm used to having zero interaction with employees at other stores. The store was immaculate both inside and out, with neatly put away carts that were free of clutter and trash. The bakery section exuded a delightful aroma and presented a diverse selection of delectable donuts.. I plan to make an effort to shop at Wegmans more often in the future. So sad to see how far this place has dropped. Covid hit and they dropped all the amazing things. Extremely limited hot food bar, olive bar gone...just a display case with almost all pitted olives (seriously?). No more hot dinner case where you'd pick a hot entree and sides. Just refrigerated heat and eat. Covid is over so what gives Wegman's? saw tomahawk steaks st the meat counter $59/lb. A local butcher has nicer looking tomahawks for $19.99/lb. Let's start off with the great. The dessert. I saw this bread pudding for $8.00 and I couldn't refuse. It tasted even better than it looked. And it was a huge portion. I'm sure I'll regret it later. The berry salad was very refreshing with the strawberries and blueberries. I saw the pizza for $4 a slice and tried the mushroom and the meat lovers. This is where it went so wrong. The mushrooms tasted like soap and the dough was so thick and hard and didn't even taste like it was baked all the way through. The meat lovers slice was slightly better but not by much. The cafe sitting area was quite spacious. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely try some other items. Stay clear from the pizza. read more

Came for lunch.....and I made a mistake going for the buffet cart of Asian cuisine. I loaded up with noodles, chicken and some spicy shrimp. For every west coaster who visits a Wegmans, think of this store as a Costco mixed with a Pavilions. There is somewhat of an ethnic selection and buying in bulk is easy here. And can be difficult to resist for most people (like me). The aisles, though being a little confusing, are filled with items from various cultures for various diets! I'd say wayfinding can be improved and maybe a different but more helpful organizing would make things easier for the shopper. And more adventures, I hope, to come!! read more

I'm so in love with this store. It has any any everything that you could possibly think of during a grocery trip and beyond. Every time I go to this store I get lost in almost every aisle. I am particularly impressed with their extensive variety of fruits and vegetables, plant based selections, and flower/plant options. All the workers are so helpful, attentive, and have a positive attitude. If you even look like you have an inquiry someone helps you almost immediately. I am from New York originally, and I've been to this store several times since moving to Maryland a few months ago. This is the single worst Wegmans I've ever been in. Before this, I haven't had a single bad experience in a Wegmans store. Tonight, not only could I not find anything I was looking for, but the staff did f*** all to help. When I approach them asking for help they simply said "well I guess we don't have it" and shrugged. Legitimately tossed everything out of my cart, and walked out of the f****** store after trying and failing again to find anything. We've been shopping at Wegman's now for a few years starting In NY (at the original store) and missed them until they opened their MD locations. They are not the closest to us but I will take the extra drive passing up some of the other grocery stores for Wegman's. It's an experience every time I visit and it doesn't feel like I'm going grocery shopping. From the various samples throughout the store, cheese selection, dry aged beef to prepped meals and cafe selections they have all that you need in one place. Baked goods are also excellent with many amazing desserts. They also have a good size healthy foods section. They do price comparisons and they are competitive. That said, some of the specialty items can be pricey. They do offfer shopping and delivery service via Insta Cart. Service is always friendly and engaging. read more

The restaurant I go to when on travel when I want to avoid fast food or expensive restaurants. Yes I said restaurant! If you pay attention to the Aberdeen area, there isn't much in the way of healthy food if you are on travel. The place is littered with fast food, snack stands, American chain restaurants, bars, and mom & pop stops that mostly sell more of the same. Wegmans is where I go when I want to pick out exactly what I want, when I want. You obviously are going to pay a little more here but you are in and out quick. Like most Wegmans, the place is clean. Ahhhhhhh, Wegmans. I always enjoy my trips here but I rarely go. When I do, I make sure to visit the bakery and cheese departments to see what's new and exciting. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and when I've had a chance to catch a cheese sampling, I've enjoyed hearing their shared knowledge of the specialty of the day/week. I don't think I've ever seen the store in disarray, which I really appreciate. The meat department display looks fresh and the Deli has some good pre-made (convenience) meals available, though some of them may need to be better covered to prevent drying out. The rotisserie chicken is good, too, and for a decent price. I find the customers themselves to be hit or miss, usually more uppity for no real reason. People, relax. Breathe. We're all just getting through our days. Be patient with each other. read more

I cannot believe that Wegmans now become low quality store. The product manager is the bad customer service that I never seen. He did not give any apologize with the customer and disrespect as well. Ordered a cake from the Wegman's bakery and it turned out amazing as expected! Ordered her a yellow cake with Old Fashioned Chocolate fudge icing and everything turned out exactly as expected. This location doesn't have a burger bar, but it is still a great grocery store. Hands down, one of the best chains in the country. I wish they had a few of them closer to where I live. Sooooo many samples. Great fresh/ready food. Competitive prices. Friendly staff. Not much I can say on the negative side other than some things can be a little pricey when not on sale, but still approachable and if you can't afford it, don't buy it. They even have reminder signs in the parking lot for you to grab your own bags from your car. Why doesn't every grocery store do this? Saves them money and good for the environment. read more

I first discovered them when we were stationed in Rochester, NY when the Navy sent Hubs to school at RIT. They were my favorite grocery store from day one. I was so excited when they opened our store here in Abingdon. A lot of people think that they're pricey, but their store brand items are not only a good price, but quality items. We were stationed in Puerto Rico and Japan, and we fell in love with each culture's food. So, it's great that I can find Spanish and Japanese staples at Wegmans to recreate the recipes I learned overseas. Hubs' best friend comes up from White Marsh once a month to see us, and he always stops at "Weggies" on his way home. read more

My favorite! Whenever I'm in Harford County, Wegmans is my first stop. I love Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, but nothing in my experience compares to this amazing store. The other reviewers have done a great job of describing their clean store, large parking lot and fresh dairy, produce, meats, cheeses, amazing olive bar, bakery, grocery items (including some organic), and a great hot bar. Prices are comparable to, and often lower than, the other grocery stores in the area. Plus, Wegmans selections are always the best and most varied. Wegmans also caters for pick up! We recently ordered from their on-line catalog for my father's 90th birthday party. Our order was ready when they said it would be, and the directions for heating and serving were easy to understand. The food was a hit! It was also more reasonable than any other caterer we could have chosen. You just can't go wrong with this place! My Dr sent over 2 prescriptions for me on Friday 7/28/23 both of them blood pressure meds,I called Saturday afternoon to check if filled and was told they would be filled on Monay 7/31.I asked why Monday and was told they aren't considerate acute meds.When I asked why when my Dr sent prescriptions on Friday they should have been filled,she told me to hold on and someone else got on the phone and said they didn't have the meds there.First person directly lied and second personwas​veryg antagonistic and blatantly rude.This is worst pharmacy I have ever used.They are inefficient,very rude and did not notify me about my blood pressure medicine.I could say more,because I had problems with them last month but,I will save it for Corporate,this should not happen​​​ read more

Hands down this place has become my go to store. The quality is what you would expect from this chain. The sushi is always fresh, the food court is always organized and the people are fantastic to deal with. Dan is the guy I usually see when I'm going through the self checkout. The staff is willing to lend a hand when you need it. I like self checkout and once I got my lesson on how to put in the codes from the food court I'm all set. You'll find most items that other store won't like ghee butter and Matcha . I'll keep coming to this place because it meets all my requirements. read more
