You are never going to find a more talented and passionate hair stylist than Tommy. He puts his heart and soul into every haircut he does and it shows. First, when you walk into his studio, he immediately makes you feel like you're visiting family. He will make sure you're comfortable, find out about your life recently, and he'll even make you a drink and put on music that you like. He is one of the most genuine people you are going to meet and if you spend more than 5 minutes with him, you will make your day better with his positivity. Next, the haircut itself: He strikes an amazing balance of taking your preferences into account while using the whatever creative license you give him to really make the haircut something special. I look for stylists that do men's hair specifically and use mostly scissors for a more classic look. Tommy is a complete expert at this. I am so lucky I found him. And as others have said, the hair stays looking incredible for much longer than I expected it to. He does my coloring as well and always makes sure the colors look natural. He does my beard too and it always looks great. He does a relaxing head massage with the shampoo and also gives thorough styling advice to keep it looking the way it should at home. I asked if I could make an appointment and the person didn't know how. There were no other customers at that time. Then, I found out on my own that I could make an appointment through Booksy. I showed up again on my scheduled appointment time and when I got there they told me they were booked and that they don't take the Booksy appointments. The person had a bad attitude and he made it seem it was my fault. I'd rather support another small business where the owner takes responsibility and wants to serve the community.

The girl at the front desk assured me I could be in and out quickly. The person who did my hair seemed to have zero experience and I wouldn't be surprised if I was her first customer ever. She knew I was in a rush and she took her time every step of the way. I knew right away, even when she was washing my hair that it would be a disaster! She left condition in my hair and washed it as though she had 5 hours to spare (which she did because there was only one other customer in the whole place). I was clear with her that I didn't want any product and she kept asking if she could put hairspray in my hair?! When I repeated "no" she rolled her eyes at me! Basically it just seemed like she had practiced blowing out her friends hair a few times and now decided to try it in the real world. You need MORE training!!!! After 40 minutes the bottom layer of my hair (which is only shoulder length) was dry and the top was soaking. I had another appt. to get to so I walked out with half my head wet and still paid $30. The other major issue was that none of their dryers were working!!!! She kept having to switch dryers saying the fuse blew because there was another stylist using a dryer right next to me. Are you kidding?!??!? They didn't think to figure that out before opening. That alone added 10 minutes to the whole mess. I will never return again. My guess is they're banking on the overflow of people who can't get into dry bar. Sad!
