The sales girl ( Jennifer…read morethe owners daughter) is a peach and was great to deal with but heres where my story gets bad I went in last spring (2011) to buy a 2009 GMC 1500 truck everything went great through the deal and financing , I bought new tires off of them and had them installed.. the next day I started to notice a vibration and took it into kal tire where the was way to many weights added this cost me about $30 to have fixed.. then the passenger Airbage light came on ($500) then check engine ($120). still something didnt seem right about the truck but I figured its a new truck to me and i probably just need to get used to it so I drove it about another 1500 km over the next 4 weeks, mind you these were mainly hwy kms being put on and never driven hard.... well jeez this is really weird I have odd clunks shakes and noises happening more and more frequently now so it goes into a mechanic.... wait for it.... I then took it to another reputable mechanic for a second opinion and both estimates came in within $200 of each other.. so you ready for what the estimate was on a just been through the shop truck 5 weeks prior?? total = $9756 everything from steering, suspension and drive line had something wrong so for a $17,000 9,756 120 500 total-------------- $27,376 I could of bought a new truck with a full warranty for about this price please stay away from this pop and Daughter operation it turns out they sell cheap vehicles by buying lease backs at auction and take it to another dealer then pick and choose what and what not to fix

I am not against a go getter but I against facilitating the old stereotypical pushy salesperson who changes things as they please by the moment. There is never one left etc and as a Sales manger I would be appalled if any of my employees approached sales like this. I hope that they can iron out what seems to be some wrinkles lately on the service and sales side mind you I can't comment on the auto service part. in the end I left not to return and that is not to say I could not give another chance but I would sooner head to my Edmonton dealer whom I purchased from previously or to the place I eventually bought from after having a good experience. Good inventory but do your diligence and shop around a bit as most of the dealers are linked in some capacity and can find what you truly want. I do wish them luck in ironing out the wrinkles!

They straight up lied about repairs they said they did to remedy this, they didn't do the repair at all but charged me a deductible on warranty. The truck still had issues just the same and to include broken leaf springs and shocks. they installed the motor in worn mounts, she stinks like coolant, they replaced the grill shutters (or so they say they did), they replaced the steering column-the wheel now sits crooked. I have had this truck in their shop numerous times and the problems persist. I have been told to avoid driving it too much and to not drive it when it's hot. I took it to two other shops to diagnose but Wheaton ignored what was found and actually argued with me. I came to find out that their used sales guy has been charged with stealing millions in mutual funds. They do not criminal record checks on their staff. This guy even asked me to send him a picture of my credit card! The icing on the cake is that I got it back from the shop the last time with the back bumper punched up from underneath that now blocks my tailgate from opening. First wash of the truck revealed scratches from the front to back bumper yet no reports of accidents? Do not buy from this dealership. The lady in the service department is also abrasive and rude and dismissI've. Horrible all around. Biggest regret I have is ever walking in those doors. They got a low mileage Ram on trade in, that they grossly underpaid for. So they come out on top and I am stuck with a truck with piles of issues.

Less than 6 months and 6,000kms later we took it in to get front end noise checked out. The front shocks and control arms needed replacing (clearly had been needed for a long time), as well as needing some other work, quote of $4,000. They refused to cover any of it. I spoke to the manager once, he said he would get back to me, but never did and wouldn't return my calls. We went somewhere else to get the work done and will not go back to Honda Red Deer.

As a result I would never recommend Red Deer Honda and will willing drive to Edmonton or Calgary for actual service.
