I joined Livewell Cumming to get hormone pellets. I was told to come in and pay my 1st months fee…read moreof $99 and get blood work done, which I did and I was told that Friday after lab results were in they would do procedure to insert the pellets in my lower back/hip area. I got a call from the nurse practitioner (I think that is what she was, but may just have just been a RN, not sure) that was going to do the pellet insertion and she said she wanted to wait until the next week because she didn't know how much to do, even though the lab results were in. So the next week comes and I go in on the day they told me and she says that she does not want to do my hormones, because my Cholesterol is high...??? Hormones levels and Cholesterol are related to some degree, but hormone therapy HELPS IMPROVE Cholesterol levels, not make them worse. If she really was worried about my Cholesterol and she knew what she was doing, she would have wanted to do the pellets as that would help my issues. I told her I am not overly concerned about my Cholesterol levels and that's not what I joined for or need her assistance with, and I will take action for Cholesterol levels when I think its necessary. She then draws a picture on a piece of paper of a vein/artery and then a bunch of circles she called Cholesterol and showed them clogging the vein/artery and says that Cholesterol can block my arteries and cause heart attack... That is absolutely NOT WHAT HAPPENS. I verified this with my Cardiologist. There is not a single documented case of Cholesterol molecules blocking ANYONE'S arteries in the hundreds of millions of autopsies that have been done on people who died of heart attacks. PLAQUE is what blocks arteries and Plaque is made up of DOZENS of molecules, one of which is Cholesterol, but it is not even the primary ingredient of Plaque. it is theorized that Cholesterol Molecules themselves can get stuck in an artery walls and cause your body to send cause white blood cells to trap/attack it, but it is plaque that blocks arteries, never just cholesterol molecules as in her diagram she showed me. I am not real big on being lied to, especially by someone who is supposed to be a medical professional. Either she is not very smart and actually believes Cholesterol molecules themselves block arteries, or she lied. Either way is unacceptable. (45 minutes there, 45 back and an hour at the office) The staff seemed nice, they gave me back my office visit fee and offered to reschedule, but I am not going to wait another 7 weeks and they could not guarantee it would not be a repeat performance. They would not refund the labs nor offer to provide them, currently disputing charges. Sent a message to the doctor via the portal, crickets. I guess I am not his target as I can not work within such a business model. If you have a bunch of time, I guess they are good, again, never responded to email about my experience....Good Luck!!
