This time I opted to visit Saunacuse for a little sauna time and self-care. Located in the Dietz Lantern Factory building, Saunacuse is a nicely laid out sauna studio that provides an infrared sauna experience + chromotherapy options. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a friendly member of the staff, asked if it was my first infrared sauna experience, and was then asked what colors I'd like to utilize for my chromotherapy option. Unlike with my experience at Lumos (where you're able to change the chromotherapy settings yourself - and I utilized 3 chromotherapy colors during my 45 minutes, 15 minutes each), the staff person introducing you to the sauna space sets your chromotherapy colors before your sauna time begins. Personally, I like having the option to control my chromotherapy color options... though I understand they set the colors for you because it's generally more beneficial to utilize 1 or 2 chromotherapy colors for your sauna session, rather than having multiple colors for a shorter period of time. With my red (activates the circulatory and nervous systems) and orange (helps address asthma and bronchitis) chromotherapy options ready to go, the staff person noted the timer for my session, lavender cloth for after my sauna, where to drop all towels once the sauna time was completed, and so on. All very helpful info... and, once ready, I hopped in the sauna with my coconut water (brought my own because you should always be sure to hydrate!) and enjoyed my 45 minutes of detoxifying bliss. Additional note: there are definitely some wins for this space by comparison to other locations. At Lumos, for example, each sauna was located in a room that didn't have full walls around it / had an open top. Saunacuse has their saunas in individual rooms, so you are buffered from outside sound... definitely appreciated as I'm enjoying my sweaty zen. All in all, very happy with my infrared sauna experience at Saunacuse... and I'd like to give it a 4.5 rating, but opted to round down because I just couldn't quite round up to a 5/5 review. I would certainly recommend it though and fully expect to make return visits!

They adjusted exercises to fit strengths and weaknesses. Their ability to also add in nutrition and yoga as part of the program with daily facebook posts of additional exercises helped make this company hit every facet of the conditioning of the body and mind. The trainers are like family, you can even call them on a bad day for support. The people there are like family as well. No one judges you, they all support you, makes you feel good. Simply... It's 30 minutes a day, and you feel it. The people are great, the price is right. The success...a year later I am stronger, healthier, I have dropped over 60 pounds and 20+ total inches off my whole body. Earthbound has a rewards program for their drinks so after so many punches/marks you get a free beverage. There is a small discount if you bring your own reusable cup. They have some seating inside but I've never sat there, nor seen anyone else at the tables, so I always sorta assumed it was for the metaphysical services. In good weather there is dedicated outdoor seating. (I usually grab and go though.) As far as the metaphysical part of the Shoppe, it seems nice! There are lots of crystals, candles, herbs, incense, and books. The items of offer are largely sorted into specific areas. They get to say it's legal because they have 'floaters' supposedly providing coverage to multiple residences. My relative's toilet has been plugged the last 2 times Ive visited and I have had to plunge it until it clears. Multiple rooms have the same issue. Over Christmas, they ran out of tissues and paper napkins so brown paper towels for Christmas meals?! Families needto stay vigilant and document the stains on the floors that stay there for weeks because maintenance department couldn't care less and apparently aren't expected to care or repair. So dissatisfied after hearing The Cottages wasn't great but was at least decent. Not anymore.
