The overall customer service at the dealership level was poor--staff were unhelpful and not supportive. It felt more focused on charging than actually helping the customer. I also reached out to Volkswagen customer service, but they couldn't do much since dealerships operate independently. Overall, not the kind of experience I expected from a German car brand.

I am writing to express my DISSATISFACTION with the POOR service I received at Volkswagen Midtown…read moreToronto regarding my 2023 VW Taos. During my first maintenance appointment in June 2024, service advisor KEN LIU stated that the rear brake pads needed replacement due to excessive wear, a common issue for Taos models. He said they were replaced under an 18-month warranty and recommended a follow-up visit in 2025 for another replacement before the warranty expired. However, on September 24, 2025, at 28,000 km, another service advisor, Rodrigo, informed me that the rear brake pads needed replacement at a cost of over $800 because the warranty had expired in June 2025. I was told there was no record of the 2024 rear brake pad replacement, meaning the warranty was tied to the original vehicle purchase in July 2023. I requested confirmation from Ken Liu on why he lied to me and why he had earlier informed me that the brake pads had been replaced, but the dealership no longer employs him. While I trusted his initial assessment and didn't personally verify the replacement, the dealership should be accountable for the information provided by their employee. The lack of records and conflicting information regarding the warranty between these 2 advisors, and the fact that their Service Advisor (Ken Liu) was giving me false information, are concerning. They said that their record shows the rear brake pads measured 7mm thick in June 2024 (unreplaced), reflecting 5mm of wear since the July 2023 purchase, which is concerning, reflecting on the car's quality. This wear rate suggests a potentially dangerous level of wear in the next 7-10 months. Despite this, NO brake inspection was suggested during my next service visits in January and April 2025, even when I left the car there for DAYS during service. I believe the dealership should be responsible for the statements made by their former employee and address this warranty dispute. It leaves me with a sour taste to see how VOLKSWAGEN and this DEALERSHIP have let customers down with their service, DAMAGING the brand image. They seem to WIGGLE AWAY from responsibility, prioritizing PROFITS OVER ACCOUNTABILITY and risking losing customers as a result.

1-Star Review - Dishonest Sales Practices at Auto Select I…read morepurchased a used car from Auto Select in early February 2026, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. The salesperson, Steve, assured me the vehicle had a clean Carfax and no accident history. That was completely false. After noticing some issues once the car was cleaned, I took it to my local body shop. They immediately pointed out signs of previous damage on the rear side fender, passenger door, and front right fender. The repairs were clearly done privately and never claimed, which explains why nothing appeared on the Carfax. Once I looked closer, the problems were obvious: * Uneven paint * Rust at the bottom of the door * Missing clips on the front fender There is no way the dealership didn't know about this. When I confronted Steve, he gave me the typical runaround and avoided taking any responsibility. I strongly recommend avoiding Auto Select, or at the very least, having any vehicle inspected by both a mechanic and a body shop before buying. This dealership is not transparent, and my experience shows they are willing to mislead customers.

Just the thought of buying cars and dealing with sales people and mechanics gives me anxiety so…read moreit's hard to believe I'm voluntarily giving a car dealership a good rating (I wanted to actually give a 4.5). I leased my car from here over 5 years ago and had a pleasant enough experience dealing directly with the manager. There was no hard sales, there was no classic negotiation tactics borrowed from Dale Carnegie - was just offered their best and after some thought, I took it. They also included a VIP membership which covered oil changes for the life of the car so long as you kept up with all your service and had them done at this location. At first I thought, this is how they get you: they lure you in with a free cheap service in exchange for committing overpriced, unnecessary maintenance. Over the last 5 years, I've found that this was completely untrue. I've price checked them against multiple mechanics around the city and have almost always found that Roadsport Honda costs the same if not less than others. They also offer deals and discounts throughout the year. I've never felt overly pushed to do any maintenance that wasn't necessary. The one time I did have an issue with service done, a manager contacted me immediately after and made it right. Admittedly, I don't have a lot to compare to, but I'm always pleasantly surprised by how streamlined their experience is, from texting you updates on your service, to being able to pay for your service online for express pick up, they do seem to try to care about the customer experience - which is rare in this city nowadays. Their staff all seem to be pretty friendly as well - also unusual. My only criticism is I wish they were more diligent with the phones (at least for service). I called 4-5 times at various points throughout the week, only one of which was answered and I only got 1 call back days later. Anyway, all-in-all, even though I wasn't planning on buying another Honda in the future, my experience with this dealership alone has made me muuuuuuuchhh more inclined to consider. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership/service.

1 star Very…read moredisappointing experience with Roadsport Honda service department. Service Advisor (Alex Thai) I brought in my 2018 Honda HR-V after multiple warning lights came on and the vehicle started jerking/behaving abnormally, which appears to be related to a known HR-V CVT issue. The service advisor Alex Thai acknowledged there is a CVT-related campaign/software update, but immediately became dismissive and rude. Instead of calmly explaining the process, eligibility, diagnosis fee, or next steps, the conversation turned into comments about how I do not service my vehicle there and therefore I am "not their customer." I found that completely unprofessional. This vehicle was purchased from this dealership, and more importantly, Honda customers should be treated respectfully regardless of where routine service was performed. I fully understand that diagnosis may be required and that warranty/goodwill coverage is ultimately subject to Honda Canada's approval. My issue is with the attitude, tone, and lack of willingness to help. A customer dealing with a possible transmission issue should not be made to feel like a burden for asking reasonable questions about a known Honda campaign. I left the vehicle for diagnosis, but the overall service experience was extremely poor. I would not recommend this service department based on how I was treated.

i didnt want to leave this review but multiple people have said to me, you risk others running into…read morethe same problem(s) if you aren't honest. so I give it 1 start because you can't give zero. but this was a sketchy, mom and pop used car lot that had 1 redeeming quality and that was their salesman Ammar. he was great very sweet. but at the end of the end had no authority for anything and it showed. every time I encountered yet another issue with my car (that fell within the 30 day warranty by the dealership his hands were tied).I specifically asked "if I have an issue with this car within the 30 days, what happens? I can't be driving back here." to which ammar responded quickly and confidently "we'll work with you, even if it means you take it to a shop locally and submit us the bill." perfect! good. so, i have owned this car before so was quite familiar with how it drove/felt. so issue #1, they put winter sized tires on my car in summer and told me that it would be fine "I wouldn't notice a difference." without knowing that they put 16" tires on my car, I immediatelly know something wasnt right. then they proceeded to lose air (brand new tires). the one went completely flat, so I had to take it to the mechanic, which now ammar said the tire shop would use as an excuse to void my tire warranty (so $2500 I paid for new summer rims and tires). they wanted me to drive my car 2.5hrs to them to fix the tire issue (remember one is completely flat...not sure how I was supposed to do that or how that was even a logical/safe option). #2 the carfax came back "clean". but it had very clearly been in a small accident but they just hadn't claimed it through insurance (so again they sold me a vehicle that had 10 body work issues that needed to be fixed. loose light casings, broken bumper, cracked grills, just to name a few. another $3800 out of my pocket). #3 there was a missing fender on the passenger side, and dead sensors that weren't replaced. and somehow all of this was not only O-K for a dealership to sell, but passed off as "safe". I don't know the first thing about cars. so any joe blow can sell a car. but to me it's the service afterwards that once they have your money do they still have integrity and will they still take care of you. in short the answer is no. kings auto said to ammar because [she] i didnt get extended warranty I'm out of luck. so they sold me a questionably sound vehicle and because I didn't pay extra they washed their hands of me. such a squeezy business, and if my vehicle wasn't so rare, I would have walked away and gone elsewhere simply just pulling in to the lot. it read, "disreputable". if you have the option go literally anywhere else but here. i had to get the roof done as well because their was rust but that's on me, but so far I'm out $8k over and above the cost of the car and they sent me a check for $250 (the cost of 1 rim), and that was their idea of "solving the problem". go to a place that understands morals and ethics and has more integrity than this. this was unbelievable to me, sadly not unexpected but unbelievable.
