What a neat, interesting store! When you walk in, you are greeted with ice cream on the right, candy on the left, and a nice seating area with book marks in the middle. Down the stairs is mostly a new bookstore, and then the last aisle is used books. No part of the shop is huge, but they have a great selection of local and European candy, as well as some fun older American candies. They have a high-quality Wisconsin-based ice cream. I found a book that is nearly impossible to find and for a very reasonable price and nearly new condition. This is a great one-stop shop! read more

This place has SO much more than just books! I was immediately overwhelmed, but pleasantly so, over the number of ice cream flavors available. It's so difficult to choose! If I had someone with me, I definitely would've opted for the $14 flight of 4. They have a great selection of books, candles, candy (new and "older" varieties), and 4-5 tables that seat 4, one or two high tops that seat 2, and some bar style seating along the window. The parking area is small, but there are businesses on either side that have some parking available. read more

If you are looking for hard ice cream with a plethora of options, this is the place. It was a happening place when we walked in. We were in no hurry and the line died down after us. The establishment has cute table and chairs to sit at. I did take a stroll around the bookstore section. They have a couple comfy chairs to flick through a book or magazine. I have the petite ice cream flight and my husband had a banana split milkshake. Amazing! I had a Banana Pudding, Zoreo, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Rocky Road. I really liked the Rocky Road the best. The flight was excellent, made with high quality ingredients. Parking is off street upfront. We parked around back. If we are back in Weirton we will definitely stop again! read more

Interesting selection of books, amazing ice cream flavors so wide ranging I can't do more than touch on them (I had burnt butterscotch and chocolate blackout and they were both incredible), cute '50s style diner furniture, and a childhood candy flashback on the shelves - good thing I didn't go over to look, I would have been sunk. Had the worst experience at the Bookstore Ice Cream Parlor In Weirton this evening. I asked for Bourbon ice cream and my friend didn't tell them to make it a Milk Shake. Sent her back in with the ice cream and told them to use it to make the milk shake. They did that without adding more ice cream and just added more milk then charged me another 8 dollars. I guess I didn't know milk was that expensive. When I tasted it you of course could taste the ice cream and it was runny. So I took it back in and told them that. The two young girls looked me and smiled and didn't offer an apology or money back or even to fix it. So I told them to trash it as it was horrible. This experience was not the same as the one I had this summer with getting the same milk shake which was great, thick and flavorful. Hence I guess they are hiring dumb and dumber at night. What was really bad was they didn't even offer to fix it and make it right and then charge me another 8 dollars for the extra milk. read more
